Star Catcher
Crow's Baby Finally Leaves the Nest

It didn't take long for Sheryl Crow to introduce her brand-new baby boy to the paparazzi -- less than 2 weeks!

The adoptive rock star mom took son Wyatt shopping in the Cross Creek section of Malibu this weekend, leaving a gang of shutterbugs furiously snapping away. Sheryl bottlefed the kid in the middle of a Ralph Lauren store, accompanied by nanny-to-the-stars, Marva, who took care of Julia Roberts' twins.

Sheryl recently told OK! Magazine that she wants to adopt again, but check out the bags under her eyes -- she might want to wait a while!

16. UGH! How utterly mean-spirited of TMZ and Harvey Levin. Harvey, you of all people, know perfectly well what promotes Hate and draws Haters. Are you not Jewish? Did you not pay attention in history class?
SHAME on you!

For Godsake, Sheryl is out shopping with her baby. Not her fault the paps are dogging her. Maybe you're just jealous because YOUR creepy shutterbugs didn't get on the scene quick enough!

And it's nobody's freakin business if Sheryl adopts again or not. Btw, the alleged 'bags under her eyes' are probably due to taking good 24/7 care of her baby. SHEESH! (wouldn't want to even imagine what TMZ would have done to Sheryl had a nanny been spotted.)

Tell us why you hate women, Harvey, most specifically women with children? Now *that* would interest me.

Hey, all you Jealous Haters who squat here day and night awaiting your next victim, you're hopeless Losers. Get a JOB.

Deleting TMZ NOW.

19. Has anyone mentioned her new "partner" that was with her on Good Morning America? Maybe she doesn't have a "male" because she doesn't need one anymore.

You and your family are always welcome in Tennessee.

20. If Cheryl Crow was any other person who just adopted a baby, we'd all be happy for her. Finally, after working hard to achieve her goals in life, she gets to give love to a child of her own. Sounds to me like a few people posting here need to get real.

As a successful single mom of 2 very happy, well-adjusted teens, I cringe when I hear that kids need 2 parents. They do benefit from the traditional set up as long as both parents are parenting well. However, I know plently of traditional families where both parents are horrible. The mom is "stay-home" and miserable and the dad is a work-a holic.

Let Cheryl alone. We only saw her pictures because the paparazzi followed her and hounded her while she is just trying to be a mom. Let the woman bask in the joy of new motherhood...single or not...it's pure.

21. One of the problems with our society is that we have become so judgmental of each other. Sheryl Crow wanted a child, this child needed a home=family. Who are we to judge how loved and well cared for this child will be by Sheryl?
The church I attend welcomes anyone and embraces diversity, Many gay couples who attend have adopted and have bilogical children . I teach these children in Sunday School.. They are very loved, well taken care of and well adjusted. The parents are very involved in thier lives. I am also a public school treacher...not the same scenario for MANY kids!
Shouldn't we be supporting each other instead of judging?

22. Congrats to Sheryl Crow! I think people should let her enjoy her new baby. The fact that she took him shopping does not mean that she is trying to get media attention. If she lives in that area, what is she supposed to do -- never take her son out of the house? Of course, she would like to shop with her child like every other mom in America.

23. Do you want her to become a shut in? It's been two weeks...she's allowed to take her child out into the world without it being considered catering to the paparazzi.

She is allowed to adopt even though she is single. And yes it will be easier for her because she has more money than most single parents. None of that is her fault and she doesn't deserve to be blamed for it.

24. If you go to one of her concerts, don't sit down wind! I did. Thought the guy if front of me had eaten too many beans the day before. Turns out, it was from the stage. One square of TP doesn't do the job for her eather!

SHE'S STINKY!

25. That is not the reason Lance and Sheryl broke up, because he didn't want anymore children. There were many other factors that came into play. I think perhaps she simply wanted to get out and do some shopping and instead of leaving her son at home with the nanny, she took him and the nanny along.

26. I am amazed at how close minded people are. The operative word poster number 2 is KNOWINGLY. I am knowingly doing the same thing. Most disfunctional homes have TWO parents in them. I grew up in a single parent home with a huge extended family and give my children the same thing. Should I settle because I am 40 and have not met a man compatible for marriage or should I just enter into an unhappy union? Maybe add to the stats that 10 MILLION AMERICAN COUPLES ARE IN SEXLESS MARRIAGES, which means they have sex less than 8 times a year? I know people who are KNOWINGLY raising children in disfunction 2 parent homes and why should I be denied a family because I am single. Your view is primarily why America is going down fast.

But good luck to you anyway

27. High profile adoptive parents make it look so easy .....where are the pictures of the ARMY of nannies, personal assistants, and security guards and personal attorneys, financial advisers, etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... that most parents don't have!

28. I think it is nice that Sheryl Crow adopted a baby. I am all for single people adopting. I wish her and her cute little baby all the best.

29. Why does everyone have to be so negative and bitter? Can't anyone just be happy for her and her son? Who knows what kind of life the child may have had, had she not adopted him. Let's just be glad that another child will be provided for and have a good life, not be brought up in horrible and unhappy conditions. Would everyone rather the kid sit in an orphanage or be shipped from foster home to foster home all his life? I'm sure any kind of life that she can give him will be better than the one he came from. Any mother that is willing to give her child up for adoption is clearly on hard times and is just trying to do what is best for the child she loves. Now this little boy has 2 moms that love him more than the world. Let them be happy.

30. It seems that babies are the new Hollywood accessory. Those who've grown tired of toting a chihuahua in a purse are now schlepping along a baby, preferrably adopted, and preferrably from outside of the US. (Has anyone noticed the amazing number of children here at home who need love and attention?)

Good for Sheryl Crow, Madonna and all others who are now choosing parenthood.

But, seriously, this is something that millions of women across the US do every day... without designer clothing, without nannies, without media exposure...thanklessly, day in and day out.

Hold up a "regular" woman --- give her some praise and recognition for rising to the challenges of parenting and then, maybe, I'll be impressed.
