Star Catcher
Crow's Baby Finally Leaves the Nest

It didn't take long for Sheryl Crow to introduce her brand-new baby boy to the paparazzi -- less than 2 weeks!

The adoptive rock star mom took son Wyatt shopping in the Cross Creek section of Malibu this weekend, leaving a gang of shutterbugs furiously snapping away. Sheryl bottlefed the kid in the middle of a Ralph Lauren store, accompanied by nanny-to-the-stars, Marva, who took care of Julia Roberts' twins.

Sheryl recently told OK! Magazine that she wants to adopt again, but check out the bags under her eyes -- she might want to wait a while!

46. I am the proud single mom adoptive mom of two african american little boys and happen to know a bit about the adoption process. Single mom's rock - and can and should adopt. Not cool to adopt if your haven't been cancer free for at least 5 yrs - that's a huge issue for all social workers doing a home study and most would NOT place a child in that situation. BUT in California - a social worker homestudy is NOT required to do a private adoption(cost a whole lot more) - visits are not required until after the placement occurs. If you adopt in CA -thru an agency and/or foster system then you need to do all the paperwork up front. What happens to that little guy if her cancer comes back? I am also a nurse working in a cancer center- and worry about the message this adoption is creating in that community.

49. I raised my two kids by myself and they are accomplished, well-adjusted, career-oriented young women who are independent in all ways, including financially. I did a good job. I like the above comments about Britney and Paris and Lindsay having two parents . . . yeah, that worked for all of them @@.

50. Wow, there is so much you all are insinuating from just a picture! I don't see what you all must see-- What I see is a momma showing off her pride and joy. What new parent hasn't wanted to show off their child? C'mon, give the lady a break. She and that baby are lucky to have each other.

51. Dear CoCoPuff..and others who opose to single parent adoption...or parenting....

Don't be so hard on Sheryl...I'm a single Mom and I'm also a Musician and I don't regret anything....

I tour when I want too and nothing has stop me from my life and career....I'm a GOOD Mother...
To top everything off...I homeschool my son and he is 3 grades ahead of his peers....
It doesn't take 2 people to rasie a kid, but a loving home.....great enviroment etc.
you can have both a Mom and Dad, but if it is a abusive situation or not a loving home...what the use of having two people.....

Good Luck to Sheryl....I may be adopting in the next year or two myself....

I feel sorry for people who is stuck in a bad relationship.trying to fullfill a status quo of two parents household.....

52. I think what Sheryl has done is a wonderful thing. It shouldn't matter to anyone what she does in her private life. That child needs someone that can give it love, care for it and give it a future. Apparently something its biological Mother wasn't able to provide for it. So everyone who is giving such bad comments needs to think about Wyatt and realize that he will have a good life. It doesn't matter if you have one or two parents, as long as you are loved, clothes, and are provided a safe enivorment. Sheryl can and I'm sure she will provide that for Wyatt. If you have never adopted a child, then you don't know what the heck you are talking about because you go through alot of legal background checks, paper work etc. It's not like you just go in and take a baby. Yes, some take years, but depending on what agency you go through, it can take as little as a few months to adopt. It only took my husband & I only 2 months to adopt our daughter. So when a celeberity comes up with a baby so soon, the paper work could have been in the making for a couple of weeks, and then be matched with a birth mother. So everyone needs to get there facts together before they start slinging bad info when you don't have any idea what you are talking about. Have a great day.

53. wtf is she doing, bringing a newborn into a public place where people are sick, diseased, and who knows what else.

oh sure, she is a GREAT MOM!

54. To cocopuff: Yup.....your i.d. says it all.

Your "argument" is SO full of holes, I don't know where to begin.

My mother was a single mom and she raised us just fine.........all FIVE of us, including one confined to a wheelchair......another who went off to fight the Vietnam War at 19.

I was luckier than most who are raised by "just a Mom and a Dad"......when my Dad left........and my mother had to work severa jobs.....I got to be "raised" by my amazing grandmother and to this day, her great love and wisdom has made me good. She was the ultimate comfort. If I had had a normal family....with a Mom and a Dad........I would never had forged that bond with my grandmother.

Life is never black and white and it is always what we choose to make it.

Sheryl Crow is a smart -- very smart and talented lady.

And I am not so sure he dumped her. Did he tell you that? From all accounts, Mr. Lance has a roving eye. No woman needs a man like that.

Sheryl will be fine and she certainly does not need US to mind her business. If only we all minded our own affairs, the world would be a much more happier and healthier place.

55. This is to cocopuff: What gives you the right to judge who should and who should not have children. Do you know Ms. Crow so personally that you can say without a doubt that the child will suffer just because she is an artist and goes on tours? Who is to say that she isn't going to cut back on the amount of time she spends in the studio and on the road or even take a hiatus? Have you asked her?

56. Interesting how everybody has an opinion on the lives of someone who has no reason to care what you think. I'd be much more curious to see the photos the stalkarazzi would catch of all of you in your lives. I might actually have an interest and a laugh at that. Articles to critique the average joes every second of every day. I'm fairly certain you wouldn't be keen on it. Then again we celebrate mundanity and mediocrity, so maybe you would.
Too bad you don't have more of an interest in what's really happening in the world. Not the world of , Sheryl Crow, Paris Hilton, Lyndsay Lohan(let's celebrate her intelligence, she's a glowing tribute to what America is) but the downfall of the us citizen, govt, and our standing in the world.
There is a reason our country is becoming a shadow of the great nation it used to be.

57. Anyone can be parents. Look at all the teenie boopers maybe your the grandparent raising your kids kid. But.............................
It takes a daddy to be a father and a mommy to be the mother.
If it weren't for the celebrities adopting children and making headlines what would all of you people complain about? I don't see anything about the president you all voted for (who is a joke) or about all the mommies and daddies who had to leave their families to go fight in Iraq. Lets put our comments on that and maybe we can get our soldiers back home.
Think about it...........

59. Does anyone know what parents go through to adopt babies in the US? My cousin just went through this, she wanted to adopt in the USA but was scare to and wound up adopting through South America. In most states here, the original parent has a full year, some states two, to come back and change their mind and take the baby back. Can you imagine the heartache for any adoptive parent? Every time I read one of these things about celeb moms I read so many filthy comments from nasty, catty, jealous women who call names, use insults and find every little thing to pick on. Why attack Sheryl Crow? The last I heard, other than a silly TP comment, she hasn't hurt anyone. As far as the single Mom deal goes, I don't see the world taking babies away every time a couple breaks up, it takes all kinds to make the world go round. And how many of you didn't go and show off your kids any way you could when you had them? I must have taken 40 rolls of film the first month when I had my girl. If I could have taken an ad in the front page of the newspaper I would have. Just because she is an adoptive mom doesn't mean she isn't just as proud. If the adoptive mom is in pain she shouldn't have given up her baby. When my daughter was born I went out and went to restaurants, shopping, all over the place with my baby, just beacause I was a parent didn't mean I had to lock myself in the house to be a good mom. It had nothing to do with EGO. And how many moms quit their carreer for their child? A lot of women do but we're not all as lucky as Sheryl Crow to have a great carreer we love. Quitting your carreer, no matter what it is should be the decision of the mom, based on her feelings and circumstances, not what the rest of the world thinks is appropriate. Sheryl Crow went through a horrible experience with her breast cancer and regardless of how much fame or money people have they still have their own troubles and heartache and I'm happy that her cancer troubles are over (hopefully) and that she has a baby to love, a right every woman should have.

60. Everyone has to pay for the "fees" to adopt a baby. It takes a certain amount of time for the paperwork to go through, some countries take longer, some shorter. My cousin waited 10 months for her boy, but I'll tell you this, if she had the dough to buy off the courts she would have done it without hesitation and what person who really wanted a baby wouldn't? I watched the heartache of my cousin who couldn't have a baby, waiting for her baby and i wish she had been able to make things go faster. I'm happy for anyone who can make things easier for themselves with the money they work hard for, not jealous.
