Star Catcher
Crow's Baby Finally Leaves the Nest

It didn't take long for Sheryl Crow to introduce her brand-new baby boy to the paparazzi -- less than 2 weeks!

The adoptive rock star mom took son Wyatt shopping in the Cross Creek section of Malibu this weekend, leaving a gang of shutterbugs furiously snapping away. Sheryl bottlefed the kid in the middle of a Ralph Lauren store, accompanied by nanny-to-the-stars, Marva, who took care of Julia Roberts' twins.

Sheryl recently told OK! Magazine that she wants to adopt again, but check out the bags under her eyes -- she might want to wait a while!

62. Wow, any excuse for a flame war huh. She adopted the kid at birth, which means there was probably already an agreement and contract in place, even if it was tenative. Which means it was legal and NOT fast track.

I think it's cool that women who have the money to adopt unwanted children and orphans do so. Even if they're single. Even if they're famous. Personally, I think Sheryl will be a fantastic parent, super star or not, on tour or not. Look at the things she fights for. There's a decent moral standard in her that most celebs and news making regular joes seem to lack.

I wish her all the best, and I wish those of you with nothing positive to say all the same that you dish out. (Cause mom always told me, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!)

63. How sad that so many people are putting out so much hate and jealousy and anger. Cheryl Crow is in her 40's, had breast cancer and chemo, and is a celebrity. She doesn't SEEK the papparazi out to photograph her with her child...THEY stalk her and others down to feed the idolitry that so many in this country have over celebrities. I say more power to her for going after what she wants...motherhood. All you haters...quit having your pitty parties, get over yourselves and leave the celebs alone.

64. Give me a break people. Stop using celebrities to vent your woes. Good for her and God Speed to her and Wyatt. The comments regarding raising children with a Mom and Dad and only as such, are garbage. More that 50% of men don't accept responsibility for the kids they desert, have to be brought to court to pay the back child support and then find ways to avoid court ordered participation. I am not referring to anyone who has a different agenda believing only their nuclear family can raise children in the correct god-fearing fashion...No one knows how to predict anyone's outcome of how they raise their own children, and those who think so have yet to find out! Watch what you say...could be your child who is a gay, or a militant, pyscho deviant, depressed, anything...Let's just say we wish everyone the best. It is a crazy world and I admire anyone who wants to make it better by trying to raise good kids!

67. it is great that she was able to adopt a child and give him a good home, my question to all these big time movie stars is...why are you going outside your own country, there are a lot of children in the USA that also are need of adopting.

69. Let's be Happy for her. the Mother probably did not want the baby or maybe she is too young to raise the baby. but, whatever the case, we need to be happy that, this little boy has a good Mother to take care of him. "God Bless you," cheryl and your new baby boy."

70. Wow, there are a lot of judgemental statements here. No one has a clue how Sheryly will raise her child-- OR what she has beeen through with her battle of cancer. She could be udner advisement of a physician not to have a child naturally. For that matter-- many, many fantastic children grow very loved and quite successful without two parents. Some single parents out there are better than two parents put together.
I am dissappointed by the spiteful nature of some of the comments on this board. Please people--show a little love for your fellow man, as God intended.

73. # 65: SHE DID ADOPT FROM THE UNITED STATES
http://www.tmz.com/2007/05/12/sheryl-crow-adopts/

it really makes me mad that people are so judging! so what if she would have adopted from Loompaland, SHE SAVED A CHILD THAT WAS HOMELESS.

74. i've seen all kinds of parents and some have ruined their kids, some have kids who are just as normal as normal can get. it isn't about being a single parent or have a mom and dad. it's about making sure the child is loved and cared for. how do you know she isn't using cloth diapers? or even a diaper recycling service? and what is up with tmz's comment about the kid having a bottle? and those who have kids know, that if you don't take your child out to visit ppl, or allow them over for a visit, you'll never hear the end of it. which is why the stars have these photo ops with their kids. don't believe me? have a baby! and you'll see! her money may help her provide a life for the child that his parents and their families NEVER could have, so don't give me that crap about the parents going through the "pain and loss of a child." those parents and their families know deep down inside tht this is the BEST decision they have EVER made, and it's something to be happy about. and with her job, she has plenty of "time" to devote to this child. she's established herself as a great musican so now the ppl can come to her, vs her trying to get out there and do something on her own. but there's no pleasing you ppl. the rich and famous can't adopt b/c it's not the same way you do. if they're not married, they're going to be horrible parents b/c kids need a mom and dad. the parents that put that kid up for adoption are bad b/c they couldn't take care of the kid themselves. and on and on you go. how about you get off the computer and go see if your kids have burned the house down yet!

75. Congratulations to Sheryl. What a wonderful act she did. Married, single... it doesn't matter.
She opened her heart to a child.... Sheryl is in a position to shower a child with love, devotion, care.......
how wonderful for the child... to be adopted by such a loving, caring woman.
