It's a good thing Nicole Richie went on a coffee run on Sunday, because the featherweight femme is in dire need of a wake-up call! Nicole hit up a local Coffee Bean in Los Angeles draped in a clingy orange dress that exposed her skeletal frame. The lovely bones!
Either Nicole's bizarrely proud of her bare bones look -- or she doesn't have a mirror (or a friend!) within close proximity.

77. I want to bring her to Kansas City and feed her my mother’s soul food extravaganza. Poor girl need help beyond criticism though! It’s hard to get "fixed" in the city where all that temptation and paparazzi and snakes are. She and all the young Hollywood needs to go to some secluded island or just a different surroundings to seek much needed help. Oh and I'm sure soul food wont help but it sure is good.

Nicole R. looks like those photos of poor, starving Etheopian kids on their on their last legs with bony chests and shoulders, bloated starvation stomach, with crusty eyes and nose with flies on their faces; except they have no access to resources, and Ms. Richie would seem to have the world at her feet. I don't think the rest of us are keen on watching a wealthy socialite starve herself to death in public. She needs someone to teach her to like herself again.
This girl needs serious, serious help. Would someone who knows her please intervene, asap?

85. Parents, friends, managers, etc......they can only do so much. When you are of legal age, it's next to impossible to be forced into any type of program. And as with any program, you can walk out at any time. There is soooooo much red tape involved in getting someone placed without their own concent. It rarely happens. She's going to have to do it for herself....if she lives long enough to think rationally about her situation.
But an intervention would be a good start. Then, at least her loved ones will know that they tried.

87. 83, its easier than you might think to get someone committed, trust me. ive been there done that, and i also had to do a mental health rotation for med school, and half of the people that were there were not voluntary. the only thing that you have to do for an involuntary patient is allow their case to be heard within 72 hours to determine if they are in sound mind. however, if they are a danger to themselves (or others) you can hold them, she could clearly be held. i think there is a good chance that she looks like this more from drugs than an ed. if it were only an ed, she would be dealing with health consequences that would render her unable to be out walking around.

She looks EXACTLY like photos of people who are starving to DEATH.
There is nothing appealing nor "fashionable" about the way Nicole looks.
She is obviously extremely anorexic and belongs in a HOSPITAL. I hope someone realizes that before her body gives out.

90. I think it is sad when you have a famous parent who cares more about his career than his daughter's life. Lionel and his ex-wife must be wearing those rose colored glasses not to notice that their daughter is slowly killing herself for the sake of being famous. What is so important that you can't take your daughter to a center for help and be there for her am/pm to make sure shemakes the right decision about her LIFE and choose to live. There is something seriously wrong in her real life, not the famous one.
