Alcohol Agency Probes Lohan Caper

The agency that regulates alcoholic beverages in California has contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department to determine if there's evidence that Lindsay Lohan or other minors were illegally served alcohol the night of the crash.

As TMZ reported, in the hours before Lohan crashed her car, she was partying at a West Hollywood nightspot -- Les Deux. TMZ has video of Lohan leaving the club around 3:30 AM, an hour-and-a-half after closing time.

John Carr, spokesperson for California's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, tells TMZ that his agency wants to review witness reports and other evidence to determine if a formal investigation is warranted.

Last year, TMZ broke several stories of underage stars drinking at Hollywood clubs. Carr says that since our report, his agency has conducted 10 undercover operations at various clubs, though he wouldn't say if they got the goods.

TMZ contacted the rep for Les Deux. Our calls were not immediately returned.

47. Ya think these clubs are serving to minors?!?!? Duhhhh.......anybody could've told you that!!! Question is, how do these clubs not go down for it.......

Let's hope it doesn't take killing a person to get this together!! Come on people!! There is some much the ABC can do here and frankly they need to push it hardcore now before its too late!

Even if one of these drunk drivers does kill somebody, will they pay the price for it? What about Rebecca Gayheart talking on her cell phone and cutting around those cars to hit and kill a boy crossing the street IN the crosswalk?!? All she got off with is paying the funeral expenses and probation. Murder is murder and probation does NOT cut it!! Celebs need to pay the price like any other tax paying citizen would!! Total crap.

48. If the agency in Beverly Hills is really serious, then go after Lindsay's mother her guardian, unless Lindsey is emancipated. I say they are all guilty, Lindsay's publicist, the club owner, and the bartenders that serve minor celebrities alcohol because they are all contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Lindsay is so fortunate that no one have been seriously injured or even died because of her stupidity. I am so sick of these underage, over- the- hill, no talented, fame seeking, no morals, narcissistic celebrities and wish they all would go crawl back under the rock they came from. They all are pathetic piece of trash!

49. This whole situation makes me want to throw up.

People wonder why teen violence, binge drinking, drug usage, car accidents and other really, really stupid behaviour is on the rise. Look no further than the ring leaders.

Where's the Peid Piper when you need him most?

51. The first thought I had was about these clubs themselves. They should be banned from allowing underage people, celebrities or not, to come in. It would make the roads safer and give these kids less to do. Unfortunately, since Hollywood is ALL about money, I am sure this will never fly.

52. She has a problem, she will just find a different place to drink. The club should however, lose the liquor licence. She is such a stupid little bitch, we have been talking about her all week long at www.therecshow.com

53.
I agree it IS about damn time the Clubs get busted. I really can't stand the way our Society caters to the so-called Hollywood 'stars'. It is disgusting the way they behave and like it or not many young kids look up to these freaks and think this is the way life should be....party party party and get high and be rude and be anorexic, etc.
I am all for going out occasionally and partying. But, not at the expense of my health, let alone other people on the road!
Grow up Hollyweirdies....the world does NOT evolve around you!

54. I guess when you can spend $5-$10 thousand a night, they can care less how old you are. I'm sure she bought rounds for everyone.........Nightclubs should be held accoutable along with her parents. Maybe she shouldn't have access to that kind of money until she's 25. That's what Priscilla did for LisaMarie. In fact I think she raised the age to 31!!

55. Well you would think that was would have been looked onto when pics of under 21 kids are stumbling and driving around tinsel town. Come on.

56. Oh and I hope the clubs that are caught get shut down charged with aiding the delinquency of minors and liquor licences revolked for years afterwards!

57. Grow up Lindsay is no baby any more.
Why do other people have to be blamed for this womans wrekless behaviour?
Should they also be responsible for the coke in her pockets and her lack of driving ability as well?
Why doesn't her manager take more resposibility and just get the poor girl a freak'n driver.
Grow up people and stop trying to pass the buck. Lindsay (or if you really need to blame someone her management) screwed up. Not the club.

58. Lindsay Lohan will have a struggle all of her life...I hope she recognizes her deep seeded problem that is truely a physical intolerance to alchohol. I hope she can take control of her very young life. BJH

59. You have to understand that for a club to be able to say that "X celebrity likes to party here", means more people trying to get into the club, which means more people, once again, trying to get into the club. Does anyone think club owners get into their business to do some good for their area? I mean...for real?

Their slime balls, every one of them. And for every one of the slime balls, money is all that matters. So you serve a couple of underage celebrities, cool, and then a couple more underage celebrities come to your club, awesome! Now you can boast that all sorts of cool celebrities party at your club. You don’t think these slime balls, are going to let a little thing like the law stand in their way of profits, do you?

And why should they, since every taxpayer funded agency that is supposed to keep watch over this sort of thing has, and will forever do nothing?

60. TMZ, hope you stay on this aspect of the Lindsay story. My only interest here is seeing bar and club owners severely punished for serving under-aged patrons. Therein lies one way to protect innocent victims of drunk drivers. Also, these owners and their bartenders need to be more accountable for the amount of alcohol they serve to patrons who they know have had enough.

I know in Alaska, because of strong laws, bartenders know they'll suffer harsh consequences if they continue to fill drink orders for profit over common sense. California seriously needs to address their DUI laws which we all know haven't done one thing to stop drinkers from driving. Check out Alaska's strong laws, for starters. Alaskans have zero tolerance and sympathy for drunk drivers -- all 50 states should have their same laws.
