Will just say, CA. may have the right laws (i.e., holding bars accountable for serving booze to under-aged or obviously already drunk patrons) but they do not enforce them.

Californians, my suggestion is to contact your politicians and demand the laws you already have be enforced, for *everybody*. Bitching about it here isn't going to help anything. (except TMZ's hit count resulting in more advertising dollars. sheesh.)

63. 52. Are you an idiot? Of course there should be some blame placed on those arouond LiLo, but these night clubs should be shut down - or at least have the laws that are on the books enforced! It sickens me that where I live you can't even get into ANY BAR without an I.D., yet in Hollywood, because these "starlets" are spending so much money, and the bars do sooooo well when they know one of them is arriving, that they just don't care - AND THAT'S COMPLETELY WRONG! To say that the clubs have no responsiblity is just STUPID, if they didn't serve her, this may have never happened. And don't tell me that these clubs don't know that drugs are being used in the VIP rooms, etc. All of the clubs that are featured on this site alone, who serve the "underage" queens of Hollywood should lose their liquor licenses, then we'll see how good their business is.

64. It is about time this happens. These clubs are serving alcohol to minors for publicity. They don't care if these girls go out and drive and kill someone. They also have drug dealers on site - who may not actually be employed by the club, but are there nonetheless. In any other city in California, these clubs would be shut down and the owners proscecuted.

I doubt the investigation will go anywhere - how are the cops going to get into exclusive clubs? Random outsiders aren't allowed in.

Lindsay's career is over for now whether she's in rehab or not. Most producers would see her as un-insurable hence she won't even be consider for roles. It will take at least a year for Lindsay to prove she's fit to even be allowed -on- a movie set, much less perform on one.
Shame really, I think the girl is talented, unlike the other badgirls we hear about to ad nauseum. (Paris/Nicole/Britney)

67. These young actresses now a days are self-destructive. But I can only imagine how difficult it must be for young celebs to resist the temptation in tinseltown. They are young, rich and famous and we all know drugs &

68. If Lindsay started the drinking at Paris's house (fact or rumor?), then Paris should be legally be held accountable for serving alcohol to a minor.
Why is law enforcement and the courts turning the other cheek is what I'd like to know. We ordinary citizens and our families might as well just concede the roads are only for the wealthy and famous. Ever been a victim or know someone who has been of a drunk driver? Sure you have. Have 'they'? Sure they have. That's what is truly mind boggling to me.
