Brian Williams -- Can You Spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E?

NBC anchor Brian Williams said "NBC Nightly News" would not be reporting on Lindsay Lohan's vehicular escapades on Tuesday evening's newscast ... due to a "lack of time!" But earlier reports of old age home Wii players and wacky wedding dancers -- plenty o' time!

This weekend's photos of Lindsay Lohan's car crash were front page news worldwide, but when Williams was asked by the Boston Herald about LiLo's antics being on his broadcast, the uptight news nerd said, "It does not and it won't be NBC Nightly News ... we have Justice Ginsburg reading her dissent today from the bench. We have record violence in Iraq. ... We've got a whole lot to cover and very little time." Oh really?

The "Nightly News" managed to find the time for the earth-shattering news of videogame-playing geezers, the vitally important news of the hot new teen craze sweeping the nation -- needlepoint, and the life-or-death reporting on novel wedding choreography. Clearly, this is hard news compared to the travails of our beloved Firecrotch.

31. Who the hell cares!?! Last I checked, Lindsey Lohan's trashy antics are HARDLY anything new...much less newsworthy, she's been pulling this $hit for years! I'd much rather watch anything else. Lock Lindsay up in rehab or jail and whatever and please be done with her. She's a spoiled little brat who has no concept of the real world...much like MOST Hollywood celebrities.

32. Well, if anyone witnessed Brian babbling after one of Bush's speeches
and saw how they tried to stop him you'd know how unprepared and
clueless he is about what he claims is valid news. Honestly, I
don't even like the guy but I felt sorry for him. First, a guest
tried to interrupt him and that didn't work so they finally cut to
commercial while Brian was *still* rambling on. Upon return, Brian
wasn't even still co-hosting the discussion. He was strangely, just
gone. LOL
What a complete fraud - the entire NBC news division, But Brian Williams really does prove ***anyone*** can get a plum news anchor job with the right look. Boy next door.....lol, in his case.

33. I have to agree with EVERYONE.....Who should give a f**k about LiLo when she doesn't give a f**k about herself!!!! She ain't nothing but a ATTENTION GO-GETTER along with those other trashy girls ....Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton, and others......

34. Good for Brian Williams & NBC! I agree, Lindsay is NOT nightly news.

35. TMZ, I think the majority of the readers here have only read the headline of this article.

And they're still in Hate-Lindsay mode. Like someone else said, bring on the pictures and videos! It's what your audience here wants most. Skip facts. Forget the POINT of this article. (The utter hypocrisy of that flake Brian Williams.)

lol
see ya next time when you get something as GOOD as this, TMZ. I LOVE it you outed Brian the Hypocrite.

36. Thank you Brian and NBC. News is plastered everywhere of either Paris, Brit, Nicole or Lindsey. I was watching it the other day (on a different network) and the lead story was on Lindsey. Not gas prices, not Iraq, not the presidential campaign, but Lindsey. Kudos to NBC. I'd much rather watch some elders, (who could teach those young celibrats a thing or two about class and integrity) learning to use the Wii!! Would be fun and light hearted way to end the news day.
Oh and by the way, Black Comedy, speaking of a pontificator, after reading your remarks, all I can say is look in the mirror baby!!

37. for once, good on general electric, er, nbc. it's bad enough that keith olbermann routinely stinks up his program with your crap.

38. NBC took a stand. I wish the other news outlets would do the same.

There are troops dying, immigration concerns, 2008 camapign issues etc...

Gossip belongs with the rags like TMZ, InTouch, US, STAR and Star Plus.

40. Well it's about darn time. Good for NBC . Keep in mind that Brian is the anchor of NBC nightly news . He is not solely responsible for the broadcast. With that typed, I'm glad NBC didn't run it. Enough of her and those like her. They make young H-wood look bad. She's just another used up actress who will be forgotten about in five years just like Yasine Bleeth. See? Don't know who she is do you? Anyway , NBC did the right thing. And as for TMZ, pick on someone who deserves it . Leave Brian Williams alone. Oh , and a NERD he is not , and if he were a nerd - so .

41. Uh, only an idiot could possibly think that Lindsay Lohan's crash is worthy of even one millisecond of air time on any of our nations networks, especially during a newscast.

42. If they ran stories about all the F-Up's in Ho-Wood, they're never have time to air anything else. Go NBC!

Posted at 9:01PM on May 30th 2007 by Get Real

43. If more news sources would take Brian Williams stance, maybe Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and Britney Spears, etc. would all just go away.

Posted at 10:42PM on May 30th 2007 by Mysty Maples

44. Go NBC. So what if we want to go to TMZ and read about it, we search it out. But Lindsay's messed up life does not belong on World News. Why emphasize the idiocy that is Lindsay Lohan on World News.?

Posted at 10:57PM on May 30th 2007 by meg

45. Lindsay Lohan isn't world news worthy, he is right. Who cares what else the station ran instead. I don't want celebrity gossip on my world news. I will watch ET, buy a magazine, or come here for fluff news.
