On the very same day that Lindsay Lohan checked herself into rehab, her most recent piece of man-meat displayed his solidarity for the calamity-prone, rehabbing wactress by doing what any caring ex would do ... taking her place at the bar!

TMZ cameras caught Calum Best leaving the ultra-exclusive Hyde nightclub last night -- one of Lindsay's favorite hangouts -- where the pseudo-model was mum on all things Lindsay.

Nothing says "I support my recovering friend" -- like a night at her favorite club!

Pictures from the video are all over today's Sun {sun.co.uk}.

I don't know, he seems like an O.K guy to me, maybe there is more to him than having a famous dad and being a fanny rat. As for the lines, don't make me laugh, it is nothing compared to the Sun offices on Monday morning (used to live near there and had a pal working on the papers - had/has a liking for the white stuff himself).

18. I've never had a bad thought about Calum. After the pictures in The Sun today all I can say is that hopefully he learned something from the sad ending to his fathers life and knows when it's all too much.

23. To Rosey #12 - Turnip Truck - that's sounds like a real educate thought. Die Bitch - that sounds real christian-like. Regardless if Lindsay went into rehab on her own or if she was shoved in there by her PR and manager at least she is in a safe place where she will not be able to hurt herself or someone else. Hopeful she will get the tools to start a life without drugs and alcohol. Most people that go to rehab - enter several times before walking the line. Maybe your conscious is full of envy or maybe you are a mean spirited person but remember GOD still loves you & will show you in time. Until then - Peace be with you!
