Paris' Cell Mate Hand-Picked

5/30/2007 2:38 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned Paris Hilton's cell mate has already been selected.

Officials at the jail where Paris will do time have decided an inmate who is doing time for reckless driving will be the perfect match for Paris. Sources tell TMZ that jailers were looking for someone who they believe will not try to cash in on Hilton's stay. The woman is already in the cell that Paris will be in ... waiting for a touch of Hilton.

Sources also tell TMZ that jailers are already conducting searches of anything electronic -- they are prohibiting cameras, cell phones and Celeb Mugshots gallery: Click to lauch gallerythe like. We're told a memo has gone out to the staff, warning them that anyone who takes pictures of Paris will be disciplined -- i.e., fired.

Our sources say a "written protocol" has already been prepared especially for Paris' stay, detailing "when and how things should be done for her."

i hope she will learn something from her stay in jail and so glad she is going. she is no better than anyone elsa who breaks the law. we would of been in jail long ago if it were us who did what she did, i think they all should go if they keep breaking the laws.

What's wrong with this world?

Why do we have to hand select a cell mate? She violated probation just like many others in the pokey. If you do the crime, you serve the time. Is she not just a human like the rest of us. Just have her show up for her time and process her like anyone else. Welcome to the real world, Paris. Jail is not a place that money should impress anyone or give them special protection or privileges. This is supposed to be punishment and she needs to learn what the real world is like if you do the crime. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Blaming it on your publicist is chicken.

Funny Thing, because I bet when she gets out of jail, the press will be engulfed with her "traumatizing jail experience" and it will all be just another media blitz. I mean, come on-- did you guys really think she would be punished for her actions??? Lets be realistic here...

move over nicole ....maybe this is just a plot for paris to make a new reality series the cell life.... not that anyone would watch that show either. I think its about time that we all stop pampering these celeb's . All it seems to be doing is encouraging more celebs to misbehave for publicity. frankly i am sick to death of it. i think its time to get scared if this is our next generation.

I absolutely loved the wonkyeyed comment!!! Too funny and way too true

We were laughing about this at work. That sideways squinty-eye look for the cameras. Does she think this makes her look good? She always has it and she looks sleazy and insipid (which is what she is)

Ready for my close up, Mr DeMille......... hahahahaaaaa

its a toss up: 1. I would hope Paris would do the time alone, to have very little contact so she could have the full reality check. When you have someone with you in confinement, you could burn half a day talking and talking and talking about anything, then play cards (they do allow cards) or create games from issued writing paper (like taking one page to make a chess board and then tearing pieces of paper for the pawns and such.
Or: 2. thie same benefits of having a cell mate have also the equal bad side. Just like "Been there" stated, it is very uncomfortable haveing someone take a dump by your bedside, not giving the courtesy flush because they have heard enough of you. I hope either one snores like a lion. Or the girl sharing the cell is a Jehovah Witness and just wants to reach out....or....Paris wants to reach out with her new knowledge of Buddah...or....They just explore new frontiers of the body...

I am so tired of hearing about it.She is just another person who does not deserve any special treatment. But the reality of it is she is rich and the penal codes don't apply to rich folks. It is all very sad to me.

you know all you people sticking up for her would feel a whole lot different if she would have killed your son, daughter, boy girlfriend, husband wife etc etc etc.... this is a whole load of crap lets slap her on the wrist so she doesn't take it seriously and when she gets out she doesn't do it again...who will she blame this time what the prison guard who discharged her didnt explain that now that she's back in the real world the rules haven't changed and it still is bad to drink and drive and when she does it again and this time isn't so lucky and does kill someone she'll say it was his fault because the rules were not clearly explained to her...uugghh it's all BS...my father in law was killed by a drunk driver before my wedding and guess what it sucks instead of buying him a nice new suit for our wedding we bought one to say goodbye in. my husband has never gotten over that and it effects our life everyday i hate the courts for treating these starlet brats like goddesses and letting them get away with this crap because you can only temp fate so many times before you wear it out and the inevidable happens and when that day comes i hope the family of the victim goes back and sues the judges who didnt properly punish them in fhe first place

It's so obvious that Paris Hilton would get special treatment. I mean, she's a celebrity isn't she? I wish for once that celebrity or not, we would all be treated the same way. It just doesn't happen though.
