106. I agree she needs Christ just like everyone does, but people seek Him only in times of trouble and once they get out of it they go back to the same lifestyle. We get cancer we pray, we have a loved one die we pray, we have a bad relationship we pray, we go to prison we pray. We don't care about God until something bad happens. Liberals don't even want God mentioned unless it helps them to get elected or they are in trouble.

One day EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

You can deny all you want but in the end we ALL will be judged. So if you don't really care you may as well do everything you want to now and enjoy all you can because it is as close as you will get to heaven. I say good luck to Paris, and stay away from all the people you hung out with before.

111. This is really a mockery. It is clear that Paris isn't serious about this. If she was serious, she would admit that she was wrong and be ready to accept her punishment. Instead, don't forget that just a couple of weeks ago, she was petitioning the governor for a pardon. She and her family were and continue to openly say how wrong it is for Paris to be punished.

They need God, but they'll be punished for acting like it is just something for the moment. Just something that will make her "look good." She is a dull, disgusting brat. A REAL LIFE CHANGE cannot begin until you accept that you have make mistakes and work to make a real change. People is running a story today about Paris being out at a party early this week. Hmmm. Sounds as if she is "changing" her ways.

For the last week, you've read the latest news - and my latest predictions - about one of the biggest evils on the American medical landscape: Mass vaccinations.

As you'll recall, one of my extrapolations of this false panacea of medicine had to do with a new vaccine that's all the rage - one designed to prevent most cases of HPV (genital warts) in young women, along with the subsequent development of cervical cancer this viral infection is linked to...

My argument is that while it's all fine and good to prevent infections of a common STD and its often-cancerous aftermath, there's a "point of diminishing returns" in the equation if the vaccine gives young women a false sense of security about the safety of sex. This may expose them to all kinds of other diseases, some deadly (and getting deadlier).

But there are some "wild card" factors in this equation, too - things that could either mitigate the urge among young, naïve people to copulate with abandon OR temper that very same urge: Things like schooling, parenting, and one other influence I alluded to in the last Daily Dose...

I'm talking about popular culture.

If you've been a reader of mine for any length of time at all, you know I've long lamented the steady decline in the themes and messages in a lot of modern cultural influences - things like movies, TV, magazines, music (if you can call it that) and the over-publicized antics of spoiled celebrities. Now here's how this dovetails into the vaccine equation...

In the absence of strong, morally principled parenting - and schooling that minds the lines between what's proper curriculum and what's the responsibility of those parents to teach their kids - young, sexually curious adults are taking their cues on how to act from all the wrong places: Rap "music" lyrics and videos, movies, mom's Cosmopolitan mags, and whatever they learn from predators that prowl Internet chat-rooms and the MySpace profiles all their hyper-sexed, Ritalin-addicted friends are posting...

What's worse, they also learn how to act from what they're seeing Paris, Britney, Lindsay, and all the other pop-tarts doing on TV! (If you don't know who these people are, or are clueless about MySpace, you need to plug in to understand your kids and grandkids - but be forewarned, the journey's not for the faint of heart).

Think today's kids aren't REALLY so impressionable that they'd take their cues from a bunch of spoiled, talent-less Hollywood party-girls and gangster-rap stars?

According to recent UK Daily Mail article, researchers asked a random survey of 1,500 British kids aged 10 and under (the answers would be similar for American kids, I promise you), "What do you think is the very best thing in the world?"

Ranked from 1 to 10 by greatest number of responses, their answers were:

1) Being a celebrity
2) Good looks
3) Being rich
4) Being healthy
5) Pop music
6) Families
7) Friends
8) Nice food
9) Watching movies

And last on the list...

10) God

Take a look at the top three answers: Celebrity, beauty, and wealth. And also notice how "pop music" ranks above family, friends, and God...

Still think kids' sensibilities about life, love, sex, and what's important aren't being shaped heavily by hyper-sexed popular culture?

Bottom line: With STDs, sexual objectification, and victimization rampant - and with schools promoting sex as though it's civic duty - it's more important than ever for parents to set strong boundaries that instill sexual temperance and age-appropriate behavior in their kids.

Instead, we have parents steering children, either by first-hand example or by tacit approval of their over-eroticized young lifestyles, into having risky sex early and often...

If only we could come up with a vaccine against THIS kind of "cancer."

115. It's good she is finding god but, is she going to loose him after her time is up? Judge not least you be judged. She's going to write a diary is her cellmate gonna take notes? I thought she couldn't read. Oh yeah that was only on tickets. Just go serve your time and get on with your life. Like I said hope you don't loose him once you don't feel you need the publicity anymore because he has a book too.

116. Did you notice that Kathy seems a little "out of it" in this video. She reminds me of when someone is on prescription painkillers or abusing anxeity meds. It's not that I think Kathy should turn her back on Paris but if it were my child, I wouldn't be supportive of her actions either. She is an adult and has made these choices.

Also, I do question Kathy's parenting a little, I mean, Paris didn't even finish High School. There is NO WAY regardless if I was rich or not that I would allow my child to drop out of High School. It also frustrates me that magazines such as Seventeen have put Paris on their cover. We should never encourage young girls be look up to someone that is a high school dropout, has a sex video, does drugs, and treats others as she does.

All the praying and prayer group attending and bible clutching in the world isn't going to stop time and her check in date is getting close...and it was very middle of the road of her to go presbyterian... hard to find an argument with that for the most part....however, it will be most awesome not to have recent pictures of her in our faces everyday (i know, if i don't like it, i don't have to look...but i am compelled so don't bother to slam me on that one).

120. I attend and am a member of Bel Air Presbyterian. Whether this is a publicity stunt or not... going to church and hearing God's word can only benefit Paris and anyone else for that matter. Better to seek God for help than reject Him. I am praying that Paris will find what she's been looking for, THE LOVE OF GOD IN CHRIST WHO TAKES HER JUST AS SHE IS...., something we all need.
