TMZ was in a Los Angeles County Superior Court this morning as little Pax Thien Jolie officially became the newest member of the Jolie-Pitt tribe, having Pitt legally added to his last name. Who's your daddy?!
Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is the third adopted child of Angelina Jolie to take the name of A-list dadfriend, Brad Pitt. Angelina adopted the 3-year-old boy from an orphanage in Southern Vietnam earlier this year.
As TMZ first reported, as part of the petition for name change, the child's new name was published in a legal journal for four weeks in support of the petition.

What's wrong with the children here is the government. Did you ever try to adopt from an American adoption agency?? The wait can be as long as 8 years. If you are a couple anxious for a child you are forced to consider overseas adoptions as the wait is usually 8 months to a year and not as much red tape. Also the price for American adoption including the outrageous legal fees can well be in excess of $20,000. Not everyone can afford that. An overseas adoption can be $5,000-10,000...half the amount. Before you criticize others for taking in a homeless child to nurture and love get your facts straight and don't be so negative. ANY child who needs a loving home is worthy of adoption regardless of his nationality.

Those two tards need to get married and set an example and do the right thing!! Ridiculous that these kids are getting their names taken away from them, they"ve had their names all their little lives, and they are old enough to understand their names are not being used, so in all fairness, Angie needs to have the Pitt name too, Brad if you read this, put your ad in a paper and adopt Angie already!!!!!

At this point, why should he bother to marry her? I'll bet if and when they do split (it's almost inevitable), Brad goes for custody of his biological kid only.
But first, maybe he should get her to figure out why she keeps adopting all these foreign kids. Seems to be overcomensating for something missing in her life.
Baracuda's right, there are PLENTY of little ones here who need a good home. I think the government should stop ALL foreign adoptions, celebrity "parent" or not.

Angelina Jolie has lied to and deceived the Viet Nam orphanage where she got Pax. They will not adopt to unmarried couples, so she went alone to Viet Nam to get him, leaving Brad at home. Now she gives him Brad's last name. The orphanage would never have given her this child under these circumstances. It breaks their rules about unmarried couples.
I also read that she was supposed to make a large monetary contribution to the orphanage and she never did so.
The nanny who had looked after Pax at the orphanage for several years says that Angelina just showed up and took Pax with no notice at all.

The cover story of the June 11 issue of US Weekly â "Inside Shiloh's World: The secret home life of a daddy's girl and the surprising truth about Mom" â breathlessly promises an exclusive inside peek at the day-to-day family life of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their children, with emphasis on daughter Shiloh, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
Star decided to investigate â and discovered that US Weekly's revelations about Jolie-Pitt's "secret home life" aren't so secret after all. In fact, most of the article has been recycled from TV interviews and other magazines, including Reader's Digest, U.K.'s Elle and Glamour!
US Weekly's fascinating revelations (that, ahem, they've totally "borrowed" from previously published interviews) include these riveting bon mots: Angelina loves spending time with her children, creating Easter baskets, and sharing play dates with her kids, their friends and the other moms. Yes, it sure sounds like Angelina is a terrific mother, according to US.
But hold on â that's quite a different picture from the one Us Weekly recently painted of Jolie in it's April 9 issue, whose cover story on Angelina blared: "Her Twisted Double Life!"
That feature â which, again, recycled previously published Jolie interviews from other publications â went on for eight pages, claiming Angelina had "broken her promise to be a stay-at-home mom" and that she had "secret fights with Brad over Pax's adoption." Of course, neither of these appear to be true: The couple is still together, and Jolie has just anounced that she will be taking a year off to be with her children.

I, personally, have had my fill of Angelina and her latest causes. Sure, it looks good in the press, but the uber-mama, homewrecker, who was wearing Billy Bob's blood in a vial and playing tonsil-hockey with her brother not all that long ago is about as stable as Mr. Pitt, whose hair color changes with each new "love o'his life."
Frankly, they're both too Hollywood to give ANY kid a stable home life. When she loses that "holier than thou" attitude and does things without seeking any kudos from the world, then maybe I'll cut her some slack. There are much better people and bigger issues to worry about.

They need to slow down. It is sad that just because they have help it is all of a sudden a wonderful thing!!! Angelina is the mother and Brad is the father. She needs to be a mother to those kids and stop trying to save the world. Those kids are going to grow up so damaged and brused because they were raised by nannies and their mother and father thought that everyone else in the world was more important to spend time on except for there own kids. Why are they still giving her kids?> Because she has money????

I agree. It was made public when Brad Pitt FILED to ADOPT Maddox and Zahara Jolie, but it was never clarified whether or not he actually did adopt them. Also, there was never any news regarding any adoption by Pitt of Pax, just the legal name change, which is not the same as an official, legal adoption. I am not familiar with the law. If and/or when Pitt does legally become the father of Angelina Jolie's adopted children, shouldn't that be public record, too?

Angelina & Brad, contrary to what you might think, you two are not saints. You both need to stop trying to win the contest to see how many kids you can adopt from different countries, while making movie after movie. Here is a novel idea - stay home and actually play with your children. Not shift them over to nannies, except for the occasional "staged' picture of one of you walking one of the kids to school. Everything is so choreographed with you two. Brad, I liked you better before you hooked up with Angelina, who thinks she can save the world. Why not give up your planes, mansions, resort hotels and give that money to all the children that need it. Makes me sick to hear you are on some mission to some country to help starving children, while booking an entire resort hotel and traveling by private plane. Give me a break#

Get your facts straight...you are obviously very young and not very intelligent! Contact any adoption agency and you will find out why all the celebrities and many ordinary couples turn to international adoptions. Now...go back to your trailer park and stop whining!

I have been having this vision of Angelina going through the midlife crisis, when her time comes, and sticking Brad with the brood while she takes off like her dad did and carries on her social life that was on the shelf for many years. Weird, I guess.
