47. You are the same typo of person who complains "why doesn’t Angelina adopt from the US instead of adoption from some third world country?"

You know why she can adopt from there? Because it’s her freaking life and she gets to decide where she decides to adopt from. And why do you place kids in America on a higher priority level than kids from other countries? What is it that bothers you so much that Angelina didn’t adopt an American child? Every orphaned kid in the WORLD needs help and a loving home, why does it make a difference where someone decides to adopt from? That’s a very personal decision to make and only people can decide that for themselves, not the public and not some random person on a blog.

You somehow think that the US and its problems should be placed above every other country’s. Do you think in your deranged mind that American children are more important than children from other countries.

"Why don’t Brad and Angelina help with our country" - Well, I thought that’s exactly what Brad was doing when he went to New Orleans to help the rebuilding process there. And from their interviews, you can tell that they view the world as their world. It’s not a our country and their country thing for them. When something big occurs on the other side of the world, you can bet it will have far reaching effects. It’s called globalization.

Why do you have a "us against them" thought of mindset? You know I remember what Angelina said once in an interview. If you are just trying to protect and help one country while the rest of the world rots and burns, eventually that will spread and no country will be saved.

You on the other hand are not only obssessed with what Angelina does and doesn’t do, but you also obssessed with her fans!

All of which honestly makes you sound not only jealous that this couple has fans but also you sound disturbed because you are making Brad’s divorce with Jen a personal issue. You were not married to him. He wasn’t your husband. You’r not Jen. Get over it!!!

48. As a mother of adopted children from Asia and personally seeing the conditions these adopted children come from, I find most of these comments childish and absurd. Who cares which child looks cuter, or if they are smiling all the time, or where the other babies are.

All children are beautiful, and if you were starving and living off very little pourage each day would you be so quick to smile?

These children that come from these foreign countries are malnourished, neglected and in need of so much more then any of you can fathom.

Let me very clear about this statement: THE WORST AMERICAN CONDITIONS ARE STILL MUCH BETTER THEN THE CURRENT CONDITIONS THESE BABIES/CHILDREN LIVE IN.

So if these children are being adopted and raised by nannies, even that is more love and attention then the ones left behind will ever receive.

And although Angelina Jolie may not be the poster child for wholesome, she is changing the world of each child she opens her home to.

I wonder how many of you complaining about her are saving your money or taking out loans or working 2nd jobs to adopt the less fortunate.

Once you visit one of these orphanages and look into the eyes of a child that shows no light of hope then and only then should anyone critisize the motives of an adoptive parent.

49. The adoption agency that Angelina used issued the following response to clear up rumors regarding Pax’s adoption.

“In applying to adopt 3-yr-old Pax Thien, Ms. Jolie followed the same course as all prospective adoptive parents who apply to our Vietnam program. Throughout her adoption process, which began in the summer of 2006, she has received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart, and contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast tracked.

Despite rumors that she chose her child, Ms. Jolie received a referral, just like any other parent adopting from Vietnam. In late 2006, she was referred a child who had been legally determined to be available for adoption and who fit within the parameters for which she had been approved to adopt. She accepted the first and only referral given to her.

In addition, we can confirm the statement given by Nguyen Van Trung, Director of Tam Binh Orphanage, that Ms. Jolie has neither made, nor promised to make, any financial contributions to his orphanage. Adoptions From The Heart celebrates the miracle of adoption with the Jolie-Pitt family, as we do with all of our clients, and wish them much joy.”

Rozelda, your logic of referencing Angies thoughts/actions and growing pains 10 years ago holds no water . You were once a teenager .. are you going to be known as one forever ? you were once wearing diapers .. are you going to be known as a diaper wearing woman forever ? you were once a smoker but quit years ago … are you going to be known as a smoker today ? Everyone has a past and everyone learn, grown and mature from the life lessons.

Unless, she is currently smoking, doing coke, tanning, talking without action, lying, obsessively harming herself through botox and plastic surgery then you can call her out on it .

……..But instead Angelina has taken on greater roles since 2001, she’s avail herself to UNCHR, supporting numerous causes helping the world in her own little ways, took up responsibility to be a mother and now a proud mom to 3 beautiful children. These actions can only be associated with one who is compassionate, responsible , nuturing and loving .

Some of you folks continue to twist every action of Angelina…

.. the reality is that you all have it mixed up with someone else who we all know is (Jen Aniston) .. one who is still living her life like she has been 10 years ago - not taking responsibility, not maturing , nothing changed .. not her looks, not her hair, not her brain and whatever actions that are associated with her …she continue to live in the dellusional past . Tha is what I call scary and mentally unstable.

51. Yes, he adopted Maddox and Zahara. The adoption process ended just before Shiloh’s birhtday. There’s an interview where Brad says so.

As for Pax, the name change is the first step towards adoption, but the process is surely not yet completed as it takes a little less than six months.

Usually - and in spite of Brad’s words confirming the adoption - haters say the kids were not adopted because we haven’t seen the adoption decree… Of course all adoption records are sealed, but who can reason with haters?

................... Newsweek magazine reported last year that the adoptions were final “shortly before Shiloh’s birth”.

BUT…the best proof of the adoptions being final is that Angelina herself has stressed innumerable times, “we are BOTH legally bound to our children…”

In order for Brad to be legally bound to Z & Mad he would have to legally be their father by adoption.

Angie has repeatedly said this in response to questions about why they haven’t gotten married yet. She even went as far to tell Reader’s Digest that being married DOES NOT give a parent LEGAL RIGHTS to an adopted child. The only thing that does that is to legally adopt the child…ergo, Brad is LEGALLY BOUND to Maddox and Zahara, therefore he is their LEGAL FATHER.

53. To all of you who have adopted a child, more power to you. Good for you. I respect that. We all have our own feelings, opinions and concerns. I, personally, care more about animals than I do humans. And yes, I am sure some "parent" is going to give me smack about it. Oh well. I really don't care. Like I said, we ALL have our own lives that we live and beliefs. I just have a hard time with those "special" people who think that are doing such a great thing in this world because they adopt a chid (especially from another country) and want to be praised for it.

There is nothing wrong with using help in raising the kids. A lot of the working moms use help.

A good mom is not defined by whether one uses help or not.

The most important thing is that the parents spend quality time with the children, involved in the children's well being.

Believe me, I've seen moms who stay home. But all they do is to turn on the TV for their children.

If you said having nannies is bad, then you are insulting all the WORKING MOMS.

Your logic is funny regarding your comment that since they helped 3rd world countries, then they should give her "lifestyle money" to the poor.

It''s actually sort of funny that you are writing or expecting that.

Just because they care about issues like poverty and refugees, that means they have to be and live as though they’re in similar economic circumstances?

Please pause a moment, think about Bill Gates. He gives tons of money to many African countries, he still lived in a mansion in Redmond, Wash. Look at many rich and philantropist people, think , are they living like what you think they should be?

Have you thought about that, may be your logic is FLAWED !!!!

60. So she lied to the country she adopted him from, saying she is single. She is not, she is with Brad. But I guess because she is not legally married it is ok. If that was anyone else with an average income they would not have been able to adopt. Then she says she is taking a year off, when? In six months when she is done filming the movie she is doing right now. She is a liar, and did we all forget how she kissed her brother(gross), I guess Brad did. But then again he is weird too.
