Celebrity Justice
Jailed Paris -- "Polite, Gracious"

Hutton, Paris HiltonShe's stuck in solitary confinement with only one hour of free time a day, but so far, Paris Hilton is being described as a "polite and gracious" prisoner. That's hot!

In a statement outside the Los Angeles jail where the heiress is being held, Hilton's lawyer, Richard Hutton, told the media that Paris is "doing very well under the circumstances." But the circumstances, according to Hutton, are pretty harsh.

According to Hutton, Paris was forced into a 100-sq. ft. "administrative segregation" (a fancy word for solitary confinement) cell because of her celebrity status. She's only allowed out of her tiny cell for one hour a day to "be in the module, take a shower and talk on the phone."

Hutton also said that his client's stealthy, late-night surrender was Hilton's idea, adding that "Paris didn't want to make a media circus out of the event. She just wanted to quietly start serving her time."

Hutton added that Paris will be doing a fair amount of self-reflection during her time in the clink, because "she wants to change the attitudes that exist about her." Good luck, Ms. Hilton.

Get real! She needs to change HER attitude. We're all fine. We're not the one who may have the slutty behavior, drunk driving charges, no talent, backstabbing, "everyone is jealous of me 'cause I'm so hot" reputation. Puh-leeze. Paris worked very hard at getting the reputation she deserves - she got it the hard way - she earned it...LOL....She is exactly where she needs to be - LOCKED UP. Hutton also said, "...she didn't want a media circus"....LOL....In my opinion, she IS the media's circus and she still doesn't get it. LOL!

33. Maybe she's not as stupid as she acts. First off, it's very smart to be gracious & courteous to the jail staff; they're your lifeline & your protectors. Secondly, it makes perfect sense for her to use this time for serious self reflection, particularly if she's serious about "changing the attitudes that exist about her".

Of course, she doesn't need jail for that. All she has to do is be gracious & courteous to EVERYONE, stop acting in a way that aggravates the average american, and give back to society. With great privilege comes great responsibility. To this point, she's used the privilege to her advantage, and has shirked the responsibility. If she can take part of her time to help make other people's lives better, and help those less fortunate than herself (instead of just drinking & drugging it up with the standard hollywood party crowd), she'll rehabilitate her image overnight...

34. Paris is damaged goods. No matter where she goes, how dolled-up she gets or how much older there will always be pictures of her on the net spread eagle showing off her bald kitty. She can never live that down, nor can her friends Britney or Lindsay.

35. We're now hearing that paris has realized that peoples attitudes about her are not positive. So, it's finally gotten through to her, eh? I will bet that the 2 things, over everything else, that made this impression on her were Sarah Silverman's jokes at her expense, and the way the crowd laughed & applauded when it was announced that she was going to jail. Can you imagine living with the idea that you're a princess, that everyone thinks highly of you, only to have that blown up in your face on national TV? Talk about a rude awakening...

Hopefully, this will cause her to truly examine what a waste her life has been up to this point, and to see how she's in a position to be a positive force in society. Let's hope that's the case...

Yeah, right. Paris lives for the media circus that surrounds her and her pathetic little posse. Guess instead of 22 days of no Paris we will now be subjected to day 1,2,3 etc of Paris' Prison Postings...................gag me

39. And I'm supposed to feel sorry for her? She endangered other people's lives, repeatedly, and gets a cozy jail cell, and that's supposed to be harsh punishment? No, she's getting it better then anyone else would, and she's getting off light for risking the lives of other people.

40.
Is Hutton some kind of nut case ~ Paris was forced into ad seg! What a cake walk for her! Did he think she would survive in the mainstream population ~ with the poor, the pregnant inmates, the gangbangers, etc.

Whoever believes she is not getting special treatment is living in a dream world.

...and justice for all!!

41. "holy cow" - Just because someone didn't die doesn't mean what she did isn't wrong! She risked others lives by driving around drunk, and she drove around when she didn't have a liscense because she figured she could get away with it since she has a gajillion dollars. If I had a sister who drove around while she was drunk, I would still believe it was wrong and I would think that her serving time in solitary would be good for her, so she didn't drink and drive again and get her or anyone/anything else killed!

42. This is the best lawyer in town. Too bad she did not retain him from the beginning b/c he would have let her serve her sentence with an ankle monitor.......he's expensive but he keeps you out of jail. Hail to Mr. Hutton.

44. I don't think Hutton is a good lawyer at all, he admitted Hilton is serving her time in a responsible manner only to change people's attitudes towards her, not that she wants to learn that what she did was wrong. Hence they're both full of crapola.

45. He's a very good lawyer. He is saying that b/c a normal person would only do 3 days tops. He is the best lawyer money can buy. Too bad she didn't retain him from the beginning. Once the Judge rules, you can't do much. Hail to Mr. Hutton...you're hot.
