Celebrity Justice
Jailed Paris -- "Polite, Gracious"

Hutton, Paris HiltonShe's stuck in solitary confinement with only one hour of free time a day, but so far, Paris Hilton is being described as a "polite and gracious" prisoner. That's hot!

In a statement outside the Los Angeles jail where the heiress is being held, Hilton's lawyer, Richard Hutton, told the media that Paris is "doing very well under the circumstances." But the circumstances, according to Hutton, are pretty harsh.

According to Hutton, Paris was forced into a 100-sq. ft. "administrative segregation" (a fancy word for solitary confinement) cell because of her celebrity status. She's only allowed out of her tiny cell for one hour a day to "be in the module, take a shower and talk on the phone."

Hutton also said that his client's stealthy, late-night surrender was Hilton's idea, adding that "Paris didn't want to make a media circus out of the event. She just wanted to quietly start serving her time."

Hutton added that Paris will be doing a fair amount of self-reflection during her time in the clink, because "she wants to change the attitudes that exist about her." Good luck, Ms. Hilton.

61. Just heard Harvey groveling over Paris on Greta. Saying how poor Paris shouldn't have gotten punished like she did. Wat's up Harvey? You use to be tough but seem to be running scared! Also tired of her lawyer whining because she's in a cell alone away from the rest of the prisoners....by golly, get her in with all the others and then what? They'll be screamin' bloody murder to get her separated......geeesh, what a bunch of pigs!

Well, that's interesting. I haven't seen Greta's show yet.
Just a guess, but I think Harvey might find some of the comments on the numerous Paris articles here on TMZ somewhat disturbing. After all, there are people here posting day after day how they want Paris physically harmed in one manner or another and several are very graphic. I've personally even seen some of these posters wish her death. So, Harvey might feel he's been a little too eager in inciting the anti-Paris mob here and she could actually be harmed by some nutcase poster on TMZ. Or he might just feel guilty about instigating the obvious all-out attack on Paris....who knows. Like I said, only guessing.

Harvey Levin did a turnabout on Howard K. Stern...let's not forget. ;)
I'll have to tune into Greta later tonight...thanks for the heads up.

70. I think Paris Hilton is always very polite and gracious.

Of course, Paris is not perfect but she is mostly pretty nice.

I always liked her and I will continue to like her.

The next three weeks will prob be difficult for her.

But whenever life hands Paris lemons, she makes lemonade. And I admire her for that.

73. She should be doing 6 months, what you or I would have gotten no matter how her lawyer spins it. /Shes not a victim, she did this to herself. And she has it easy being in solitary. I would much rather do that than be shanked daily.

74. She doesn't have a choice whether to be polite or not! Been there done that! If you are not, the guards will kick your ass! And no one will ever know, it is called the blue wall. Everyone thinks another inmate will hurt Paris, it will most likely be an employee of the prison. Mark my words.

75. She is naive. She can not change the image people has of her, because it is a Christian crusade. It has never been about justice.

As a Dane I have always thought of the crusades as the most positive events in the history of the Cristian belief, but I thought that we were done with them.

I was wrong.
