The Game Charged with Pulling Gun During Game

The GameRapper The Game has been charged with making a criminal threat and with possession of a firearm in a school zone during a Feb. 24 pickup basketball game, according to the L.A. District Attorney's office.

The rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, allegedly got into an altercation with a player on an opposing team during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South Los Angeles. After allegedly punching the victim, cops say The Game pulled a gun from his red Escalade and threatened to pop the victim. Not very sportsmanlike!

The 27-year-old is also charged with one count of exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday for the three felonies.

Just last month, LAPD arrested The Game at his Glendale home, after police executed a search warrant. He was released on $50,000 bail. If convicted, The Game is facing more than five years in state prison.

16. Anyone out there still think that Don Imus is who the black community need concern themselves about? Take a gander at ghetto filth like this animal and Fitty. While you're at it check out the Def Comedy Jam and the Bad boys of Comedy. They have set the African American population back a hundred years.

17. Lets see, assault and battery, possesion of a firearm in a vehicle without a permit I'm sure, and pulling a gun in a school zone. If he gets probation for these, than the justice system is in fact unfair. Not on color but on background. Poor and Middle Class go straight to jail for the same offenses, Entertainmet Types have different laws.

Do the Crime Do The Time...now rhyme it and sing it Game Boy

19. Ellis:

Who the hell are you to speak about what or what Black people should be concerned about? If Black people want to watch Def Comedy Jam, Bad Boys of Comedy, pornography or rap music videos, Black people have a choice to do such.

What is disgusting is your use of the terminology "ghetto filth" as if the word ghetto defines a Black person, a Black person's community or a Black person's actions.

Since you are such an educated, intelligent and evolved member of society, you know that ghetto is an Italian word used to describe the living conditions of Jewish people back in the days of the Holocaust. So the word ghetto has nothing at all to do with Black people. Some ignorant people, Black, white and otherwise, use the term as a means of so-called "defining" Black people, but truly educated people know the truth.

I was all set to come down on The Game for his current slew of charges. He's engaged to be married, his fiancee is pregnant and he's got a son to look after. All I can say is that he needs to act as a responsible adult and father and set a good example for his seeds.

As for you, Ellis, I'd tell you to go to hell, but it's obvious you're already there.

21. This blog is so interesting. It's amazing how 100 white people are featured on TMZ being booked, accused of crimes, etc., yet one Black man is on TMZ facing charges and he's a myriad of different racial slurs.

Of the almost 600 comments posted about Paris Hilton on just one of the blogs about her, not once did I see anyone refer to her as a "stupid white bitch," nor did anyone say her knuckles were dragging.

It's amazing how so much trash can exist in one place at one time. What is also interesting is that all of the spineless bastards and bitches on here who want to refer to The Game in a negative manner by typing various racial slurs would NEVER approach a Black man or woman like that in REAL LIFE, because they know they would be Black and white - not just white.

Keep showing how YOU are the primary parties responsible for the decline of the "civilization" you created. :)

23. So does this tough rapper usually beat up kids if he looses to them?

24. OK you guys, everytime there's mention of a rapper, the whiny racists hide behind their computers. I like some rap and some I don't, but The Game, 50 Cent and the other "hardcore" rappers don't represent polite, socially conscious rappers that have a POSITIVE message to tell like: Will Smith, LL Cool J and others.

You also can't blame only black guys for being "hardcore" rappers --remember Eminem rapping about throwing his wife Kim in his trunk and wanting to kill her !

If stereotypes were true, than I can assume that all white girlz are drunk and drugged out loose whores like Lindsey Lohan, Paris and Anna Nicole.

Atleast that's what I've been hearing !

25. I thank god every day that I am white, articulate, own my own home, don't have tinted windows, know the father of my children, have an education, am not incarcerated, speak english and don't know a thing about rap. You can take a black man out of Africa but you can't take the African out of a black man. In the end they will shoot, smoke, beat, steal and lie. I'm telling you this is the truth.

27. Why do blacks use words like "represent" and "disrespect"? Also did you all know that the word is ASK not AKS.

Renee will ask her graduate professor about her dissertation.

Shamika Dehaum be aks hiz momma where heeZ daddy be and if he do smoke weed and why he incarcerated.

How bout that??

28. Ellis:

Advise me on how educated you reall (sic) are? Eat a book. :) You and Lisaaa need to call the SPCA and have yourselves spayed and neutered. Morons do indeed travel in packs.

As for Professor Jerome, THANK YOU!

Lisaaa wants to state that, "You can take the Black man out of Africa, but you can't take the African out of a Black man." The origin of man dates back to Africa, you ignorant wench. Anyone walking the face of the Earth as we type can be traced back to Africa. Stealing? Who stole the Africans and transported them to Amerikkka? Yep, your ancestors without melanin.

You probably gained your "Earthly" possessions by engaging in unlawful and/or devious activities. I will bet my last dollar on the fact that you are probably more immoral than the rappers you claim to know nothing about, but your material possession lead you to falsely believe that you are exempt from judgment and exempt from the same persecution that you subject [innocent] people of color to?!.

Lisaaa, as sure as I believe there is a God, you will regret your thought process. You claim to know your father, but has a DNA test confirmed your paternity? You own a home. Great! The same way you have something today that you claim is yours, it can be plucked away from you tonight.

Keep walking the streets aimlessly with your "superiority" complex in tow. There is a much higher power than you who controls everything you do, and when the time comes, you will reap what you have sewn.

Until then...

29. Dearest Self Righteous White People:

ASK your "privileged" and "innocent" white children why they buy 70% of the albums that rappers record? ASK your educated and intelligent white children why they try so hard to emulate a culture that their parents are so intolerant of?

I'll tell you why. You're too busy worried about making your mortgage payments, leasing your cars, and keeping up with the Joneses (and I don't mean Quincy) to concern yourselves with where your children are, what they are watching and what they are listening to.

All you need to do is play a rap song in a club chock full of wealthy white princesses and watch them get down on the floor, pop locking and dropping it like they were broke trying to make their electric bill or tuition payments by the next morning. Ha!

You all are something else!

Posted at 7:26PM on Jun 4th 2007 by Ask Your Children

30. Dear Misguided Ellis:

I am #20. No, I wouldn't let my children watch music videos because they are inappropriate for children. My children would watch programs that were appropriate for their age, if I would let them watch TV at all. This would apply, if I had children. But since I don't, it makes little difference to me.

The responsibility of a parent is to be just that - a parent. Being a parent isn't dressing your child cute and toting them around town like they are the latest accessory. Being a parent is monitoring your child(ren)'s activities and teaching him/her/them to be a responsible person, as responsible as they can be for their age.

I don't listen to the radio because most of what is played on the radio is garbage. Most genres of music that are recorded today are not in the least bit musical, nor are they inventive or by any means inspirational.

Someone may dislike hearing women referred to as bitches and hos the same way they may dislike hearing songs about devil worship or about glorifying drugs or pornography or talking about going to rehab or not going to rehab. I think more people should assume responsibility for their own actions rather than judging other's actions. If you don't like rap, don't buy it. But try chastizing the labels and the (white) men who own these labels. They lack the integrity to release "positive" music because that's apparently not what the general public is buying. If they weren't making money hand over fist, then they wouldn't be releasing such material.

Don't hate the players, hate the game. (No pun intended.)
