I kiss my girlfriends like that all the time and don't see anything wrong with it.
Both my parents are European, so I wasn't brought up with the classic American 'Puritan hang ups'. Europeans interact warmly with male & female friends and it's not considered overtly sexual. Look at it this way: Kate is dating a Brit, Liv is married to a Brit and Helena is Danish, so all the women involved are acting perfectly normal.......to Europeans.
