18. I can't beleive they are making a Thundercats movie. I love the cartoon and CGI will ruin this and make it way over the top. There is no need to remake HeMan either, the original live action movie was fantastic. Studios need to come up with more original ideas... whats next Shirt Tales The Movie?

19. Thundercats already had a movie made for it, but due to the MPAA it was sidelined.

20. Ok, loved Thunder Cats and He-Man as a kid, but seriously, what's up with turning our childhood cartoons into live action movies?! I think this is going a bit overboard and can actually ruin the memory of the cartoons for some people. Hollywood should quit while they are ahead.

21. There already was a He-Man movie starring Dulf Lundgren (spelling?) called Masters of the Universe. It was awesome. I guess his movies just keep getting overlooked as the re-makes come out (i.e. the punisher)

23. Thundar Cats is a bad joke...always has been. The material that it's based aon is just terrible. Now, if Hollywood producers are simply just too lazy or stupid to research the better animation, well, they can consider my an education.

Akira--The Matrix meets Blade Runner and The Minority Report, Star Blazers aka Space Cruiser Yamato--The movie and series...that the original Star Wars film completely and utterly ripped-off: literally...from stim to stern, Gundam...giant robots thrust into a Roman Nazi-esque Space War...who's lead villain is a follower of the anchient tyrant Hitler. He and his family ascend to power...the anchient Roman way, by plotting against...and assassinating each other, Thundaar...Road Warrior meets Lord Of The Rings, Planet Of The Apes, The Terminator, and a Twist of Star Wars, Johnny Quest-- Harry Potter (who uses his genius in place of magic) meets Raiders Of The Lost Ark and the harder edge of The Bourne Identity, Captain Harlock--Han Solo if he never met Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan...We find him in command of a space traveling pirate battleship, Robotech...think Star Wars meets Transformers--The difference between Robotech and Transformers, however, is that it has a real story, with real substance, Bionic Six...(A multi-ethnic family...by way of adoption--with super powers) although not of the same class as the other series I've profiled...it could make a very good X-Men like film...it is the Invincibles meets The X-Men=a better version of The Fantastic Four!!!

24. Amended: Thundar Cats is a bad joke...always has been. The same is true of Garbage like He-Man, She-Ra...and G.I. Joe!!! Hollywood is now scrapping the bottom of the toilet with their newest acquistions!!! The material that these shows are based on...is just terrible. Now, if Hollywood producers are simply just too lazy or stupid to research the better animation, well, they can consider my latest posting a much needed education!!!

25. FYI, a live-action Robotech is not entirely beyond the realm of possibility.

According to the Harmony Gold reps I interviewed on my Robotech podcast, Space Station Liberty…

http://terrania.us/liberty/

…they'll be watching the Transformers movie very closely to see how well it does before they even start thinking about investing in a live-action Robotech. (I'm sure that the Wachowskis' Speed Racer live-action film will get much the same sort of attention.)

Given the copycat nature of Hollywood, if Transformers does well, I would say you can expect a whole slew of live-action nostalgia cartoon remakes in the next two to three years.
