Celebrity Justice
Cops: Paris Under House Arrest

Paris HiltonParis Hilton has been fitted for ankle bracelet and reassigned to house arrest, after authorities decided to release Hilton from jail due to medical reasons, this according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. spokesperson, Steve Whitmore.

Reporters hammered away about Paris' medical condition during a press conference in front of the jail, where she was released early this morning, but Whitmore said that due to confidentiality laws, he could not discuss even the slightest health-related details.

Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days, where she has a 3000-4000 ft. radius of freedom. Her jail cell was 96 square feet. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."

Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early -- she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.Paris Hilton gallery: Click to launch gallery

706. What is the address of her house in the Holly Hills? It is pictured on the web and reporters are all over it so it can't be a secret. It would be fun to see it on Google Earth or on Zillow where we could see an estimate of its value.

PARIS IS AMAZING AND GORGEOUS AND THE ONLY REASON THEY GAVE HER JAIL TIME WAS BECAUSE SHE IS A CELEBRITY. so whoevers saying she only got let out because of it, think about it, thats the only reason she was let in! she should totally be off the hook. its ridicouls how judgemental you people are.. stop assuming stuff.

709. The police should spend their time jailing real criminals like the boy raping pedo wacko jacko and leave poor, innocent, white girls like
Paris alone to live her life.

713. This is pathetic to say the least. For us considered as the average "joe" this is "Life". Many of us out here in the real world find ourselves in the justice system, and the sentence is unfair. When younger, my husband did "18-Months for unpaid-traffic violations! Now..is that fair next to "Poor little Paris's sentence? Not in my opinion but, hey, thats life!!!.
