65. Ok people the sheriff's position is an elected position by us the people of LA. I say we sign a petition to kick him out of office and vote in another law abiding, no special treatment giving sheriff who will enforce sentences no matter who it is. Paris didn't get 45 days for the DUI she got it for thumbing her nose at her probation not once but twice and basically laughing and pleading stupidity while letting us all know that she is better than us. RECALL HIM!!!!!! Your days are numbered Baca!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see what has Paris Hilton taught us - If you're rich, have money to have a high priced lawyer visit you in jail, have your high priced psychiatrist visit you in jail, you can be released to do TIME in a luxurious home because you going bonkers in jail. Paris, you were going bonkers before going to jail. That's why you ended up in jail, that's why you ended up in a video doing the nasty. I had hoped you would show every one that you would be on the right track when you got out. All you've done is show what money can buy and that the rest of us who might end up in jail for similar reasons, will have to do the time. 70. I don't understand how assigning her to home electronic monitoring doesn't go against the court order which specifically said she was not to be put on home electronic monitoring. Doesn't the jail have to abide by the court order which people in jail? If not, why don't they just arbitrarily keep people in or kick people out and ignore the courts entirely?

73. This just proves that the laws are made to protect the rich. If she were poor, she would have been in jail long ago and would have served the full sentence, breakdown or not. If the state of California cannot prosecute those who need it, maybe the criminals should be sent to another state, where they get their just punishment. What kind of example does this set for our young people. Basically, it is telling them that they can do whatever they want and not have to worry about suffering the consequences of their behavior. No wonder this society is so screwed up. PARIS, YOU TAKE THE CAKE. YOU HAVE JUST PROVEN TO THE WORLD THAT MONEY DOES BUY EVERYTHING-EVEN IF YOU BREAK THE LAW. My only hope is that no young person looks to you as a role model, because you do not deserve that title and you certainly do not deserve respect. It is something that has to be earned.

75. Eyebrows are most certainly being raised. You have got to be kidding
if you expect, for one second, any one to believe that Paris was so
"mentally troubled" enough so to be "pardoned" from fulfilling her
complete sentence behind bars. If the same had even an ounce of
truth in it, shouldn't she, first, have been rushed directly to the
local hospital's psyciatric ward for her safety? Also, how
convenient for her (because it is all about her you know) that in her
fragile and delicate mental state certainly didn't prevent her from flaunting herself
down the "red carpet" at the recent MTV awards and sitting through
the show. Hope you enjoyed the show, Paris. Grow up! Haven't you
ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? You should be ashamed (and completely embarassed) of yourself.
