If You're Pissed Over Paris, Don't Blame the Judge!

The decision to move Paris Hilton to house arrest was made entirely by the L.A. Sheriff's Department.
Paris' sentencing doc
TMZ has confirmed that Judge Michael T. Sauer was informed of the Sheriff's decision before Hilton was reassigned to house arrest, but the Judge only responded by reaffirming the terms he imposed on May 4.

We spoke to Allan Parachini, Public Information Officer for the Los Angeles County Courts, who advises that "All decisions on incarceration are made by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department once a sentence is imposed."

So don't tell it to the judge.

UPDATE:
Allan Parachini addressed the media outside of a Los Angeles County Courthouse regarding Paris Hilton's early release today, and reiterated that the court did not sanction the early release of Miss Hilton. He added that the Sheriff's Department contacted Judge Sauer on June 6 and asked him to change his sentence to allow electronic monitoring for Hilton. He declined, sticking by his original sentence, which clearly nixed that type of punishment.

159. People, people, people come on now! It doesn’t matter at all if she is house arrest now. Why you all hate her so much? She didn’t kill no one! She is young and did some mistakes and is already punished so much physiologically by the media and all the law troubles. After all we all commit mistakes! She is still under attest but in he house… how much boring will that be for a party girl, you can not imaging its still hell for the cute lady… give her a break!

160. People of LA County, the Sheriff is an elected official. Don't vote him back into office. Actions speak much louder than words. Bye, bye Sheriff Baca.

162. This sort of thing further depresses my feelings toward the law enforcement sector of government. It proves that money and exposure can get you what you want. In our state a 2nd DUI offense will get you six (6) months in jail and plenty of fines, NO EXCUSES. Oh but least I forget this is Paris Hilton I am talking about, JASRB (Just another spoiled roten brat).

164. What a show!

The American Justice System once again demonstrates why it cannot be taken as a model for any other country in the world to try to emulate.

Corrupt from top to bottom; Rapist Supreme Judges, Cheap To Buy Sheriffs. Overpowered Celebrity Figurines.

It really is quite a show.

More pathetic is the statement by the country spokesman claiming that despite getting to just bum around her no doubt relatively cushy pad, Hilton is still, technically 'in custody'.

LOL

165. Worldcom, Delphia, Enron, Paris Hilton - corporate greed mongers, have done it again when will the ordinary people of america say enough is enough. In my state, 2nd offense DUI gets you six (6) months in jail and plenty of fines, NO EXCUSES. Hopefully the next time that I get arrested, I develop a rash (medical excuse) and the sheriff is kind enough to let me do my time at the house with a pretty ankle braclet.
