If You're Pissed Over Paris, Don't Blame the Judge!

The decision to move Paris Hilton to house arrest was made entirely by the L.A. Sheriff's Department.
Paris' sentencing doc
TMZ has confirmed that Judge Michael T. Sauer was informed of the Sheriff's decision before Hilton was reassigned to house arrest, but the Judge only responded by reaffirming the terms he imposed on May 4.

We spoke to Allan Parachini, Public Information Officer for the Los Angeles County Courts, who advises that "All decisions on incarceration are made by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department once a sentence is imposed."

So don't tell it to the judge.

UPDATE:
Allan Parachini addressed the media outside of a Los Angeles County Courthouse regarding Paris Hilton's early release today, and reiterated that the court did not sanction the early release of Miss Hilton. He added that the Sheriff's Department contacted Judge Sauer on June 6 and asked him to change his sentence to allow electronic monitoring for Hilton. He declined, sticking by his original sentence, which clearly nixed that type of punishment.

65. If this were anyone else, would they be home right now? What has this country come to?? What about the common folk? She must be sleeping with someone on the sheriffs department, or her mom or dad is, I don't know what else to say. I can't stand the injustice in this world. Isn't this suppose to be America? What message are we sending? I suppose just like everyone else though, she'll get hers one day. Do you hear that Paris, you can't BUY OFF the BIG GUY! You'd better spend some more time in Church and less in the bars honey!

69. I am not pissed off about Paris, no one should be! she should have never spent one day in Jail in the frist place, this was her frist DWI and the law states that Frist conviction It is a Mandatory revocation of your drivers license for one year, attend alcohol safty school and obtain a subtance abuse assessment prior to reinststment of driving privileges.

70. The call is for a boycott of anything Hilton, starting with the hotels. Shut down the effortless cash flow that keeps these folks (Paris and her parents) above the law and better than simple folks. Call for an investigation into who got paid to have her released and have that perons (1) fired and (2) jailed to serve the rest of her sentence. One blogger from DC said that they are a Paris fan but in favor of boycotting. I just wonder, what is there to be a fan of? What has she ever done worthy of having a following for? What contribution has she ever made to anyone or anything except herself? JOIN THE MOVEMENT AND BOYCOT EVERYTHING HILTON!

71. that's a good thought, FYI4U, but not realistic. Her sentence is OVER. She wasn't ordered to stay off alcohol. She was ordered to stay in jail for 45 days. Then it was 23. She can drink as much as she wants, as long as she stays in her mansion. She can do freaking coke as long as she doesn't leave her mansion. She got off scott free and that's just the way it is. Maybe some high profile activist will protest and there might be some minor changes in how they treat celebrities, but really, this is the way it is - 'they' get the breaks and the rest of us get pissed.

72. Money talks people....I wonder how much her father paid the sheriff. The L.A. Sheriff's department should be investigated. The sheriff was obviously bought off!!!

73. i don't think paris' mom f'd the sheriff. he prolly don't want that old p***y. she more than likely promised the sheriff that paris will perform on him what she did in her XXXrated
video...if you know what i mean ---->)~ and along with that look for this sheriff to move into a new palation home and brand new maseratti and all his bills to be paid. the only
'medical condition' that ho is suffering from is not being able to be with her homies til the
wee hours of the morning.

74. Look people everyone makes mistakes when there young, everyone is acting like they
want the cat to eat the canary!!Well as far as i'm concern Paris is now where she
belongs home!!Not in Jail.So all should back off and leave her alone.Think about what
you all done when you were young,The Judge did the right thing by releasing Paris.

75. Poster #11 - YOU ARE SO DEAD ON IN YOUR ASSESSMENT OF LA!!

I relocated here from NYC three years ago and man oh man is the corruption so FREAKIN EVIDENT!! But it's like everyone in the city has been given some kind of happy pill and can't seee what's happening. It's very "Stepfordish". For those that don't go along with the program or question it, then we're the ANTAGONIZERS!

I can honestly say that this crap would NOT have happened in NYC or too many cities back east for that matter.
