Celebrity Justice
Paris Hilton -- Free Woman

TMZ has learned that Paris Hilton has not only had her sentence cut short, she is already out of jail!

Unimpeachable sources tell TMZ the deal was sealed yesterday, and that Hilton made her exit early early this morning.

She was originally sentenced to 45 days in jail, but that was reduced to 23. She served a total of five days -- the normal stay for a violation of this kind. Her five days began Sunday night and concluded early Thursday morning.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department will hold a news conference in an hour to discuss what went down.

UPDATE 10:16
:
LA County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says that Paris Hilton has been fitted for an ankle bracelet and put under house arrest for the next 40 days, after authorities decided to release Paris from jail due to medical reasons. She got out of jail just after 2:00 AM.

Whitmore says he cannot release details about Paris' "medical issue" due to confidentiality, but said that medical officials "constantly examined" her while she was in jail.

Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."

Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early -- she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.

2071. Does anyone else notice that all the key players appear envious when they speak of Paris? She is a young women who was born into privledge. Hopefully, whatever happens-jail or no jail- she will get it over and leave this country and learn about real life outside of a bubble. I do not believe that her parents have ever allowed that to happen. Hopefully she will make it happen for herself.

2072. This isn't about Paris Hilton. It's about whether or not the US legal system can be bought. Full respect to the judge, and the attorney who filed the petition.

I hope Hilton goes back and serves her time, but mostly I hope that sheriff gets found in contempt. Not even the law is above the law.

2073. I see I'm not the only one that thought Janice's remark was with lack of knowledge,
lack of thought and totally idiotic. She did do something wrong. REALLY WRONG!!!!!!
Maybe you should buy some of the magazines or papers at the check out and get up
to speed with what actually has transpired with this lil white trashy, nasty, rich bitch.

Hopefully the Judge will require (demand) she go back to jail and hold the Sheriff
in contempt and have him serve time too. He should require her parents to cough
up the cash to reimburse the city, county & state for all the costs in all of her run-ins,
bookings, court time wasted since it really did no good to go before a judge especially
when the sheriff appears to think he has a higher power than the judge. If he doesn't
he at least should also put an alcohol & drug monitor on her as well and ban her
having any visitors during the 40-day reign at home for lock down. And, if she does,
hold her parents liable and in contempt of court also.

She definitely isn't getting a lesson or learning anything with the way it is now. So, why
should she care, she's above the law. NOT!

Hey, ACLU, why don't you come to the aid of some of the other prisoners that have a
"medical condition" that are incarcerated for non-violent charges and see if you can't get
their sentencings of 23 to 45 days reduced to 5 days or less????

And, as I said in a previous comment, I can't believe M.A.D.D. isn't jumping all over this!!!

2075. Paris Hilton, just another name for spoil brat. She is going back to jail for how long? WHo Knows!! This may be what she needed to get herself some help if she really is mentally ill **rolling eyes** However, to all those who think she got unfair Justice, think how society would feel if she while under the influence injured or killed someone? The public cry would've been "why wasn't something done?" So regardless if you love or hate her, it's the potential for what could've been that has me concerned. If you disagree, contact me and tell me what you think!

2079. NEWS FLASH

The Twin Towers professional staff has positively diagnosed Paris Hilton’s condition.

Miss Hilton has been confirmed to be suffering from an advanced case of HUTAS (Head Up The Ass Syndrome). Hilton exhibits acute symptoms related to a patient with their head clearly up their ass. It is known that if HUTAS isn’t diagnosed and treated in its early stages, the condition suffocates the brain and leads to irreversible systemic damage. Symptoms are characterized by a lack of intelligence, muffled hysteria and blind arrogance which enlarges the head making it more difficult to cure the disease.

Treatment for HUTAS includes applying repeated and sufficient force to each side of the buttocks with one’s foot. Having the patient walking or running while their buttocks is booted builds psychological remedy for the patient and satisfaction for the treatment specialist. Most professionals agree that in Miss Hilton’s case, several hundred treatment sessions will be required to obtain full remission. Due to the expected long and arduous recovery period, it is recommended that the public at large be recruited to administer treatments.
