Paris' Medical Condition -- Mental, Not Physical

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Paris Hilton's medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that's why she was released early this morning.

Psychiatrist Charles Sophy visited Hilton in jail yesterday and the day before. We're told after Sophy's visit yesterday, word was passed to the Sheriff that Hilton's mental state was fragile and she was at risk.

The reason for releasing her had nothing to do with a rash or other physical issues. It was purely in her head.

Last month, on the eve of a trial in which Hilton was accused of slandering socialite Zeta Graff, Dr. Sophy told the judge that Hilton was "emotionally distraught and traumatized" over her jail sentence, which prevented her from participating in a meaningful defense. That trial was put on hold until August.

UPDATE: Law enforcement sources have just told TMZ the County Jail medical team made the final decision to spring Paris based on Dr. Sophy's psychological evaluation. And we're told, Sheriff Lee Baca gave the final approval.

1021. Paris is probably having some cocaine withdrawls....LOL...
Anyway's I think Paris is kind of over reacthing, She's acting as if she was sentenced to years. And so is alot of people. It's only few day's and it will be over in no time. I thought Paris would be able to handle it. I mean she seemed like a very strong and independent person. I thought she would take it like a big girl and face the consequences. But i guess i was wrong.

1022. Like OMG, it is SOOOO unfair that I should be treated like a commoner. I mean I'm like almost freakin royalty, people should thank me when I drunkenly smash my Benz into them and their kids, I mean at least they got to meet me. I'm like so grateful to all the rest of the spoiled little brats out there....Mom, Kim and the millions of fans screaming for my release... please keep bringing me gifts and send flowers too, if you use FTD they might arrive at the prison before I'm through with my three week sentence. I shoulda used OJ's lawyer!

XOXOXOXO Paris XOXOXOXO

1023. IF SHE HAS MENTAL PROBLEMS WHY IS SHE DRIVING THEN? MOMMY AND DADDY TO AFRAID TO KEEP THE KEYS FROM HER?

995. I don't know where "JeepWrangler_girl" is getting her information that Paris is suffering from drug withdrawals. Has she seen her take drugs? Does she know for a fact that Paris is an addict? What is it within this person that makes her want to think the worst about someone? I've found that people who speculate the worst about someone without a factual basis are usually just doing so to make themselves feel better about their own demons. Paris screwed up and drove drunk. She's not the first person to do that. She probably DOESN'T have the greatest coping skills in her emotional tool box, because she has lived a priveleged lifestyle. This is no fault of her own. As a result, jail was a harsh reality that she couldn't handle.

I cannot wrap my head around all of these people who are rejoicing in Paris' tribulation. They are very scarey. These hard-hearted social zeros are as much a threat to society as any drunk driver.

ummmm, reality check, she broke the law by driving with a suspended license while on a 3 year probation.

if i had done the same thing i would not have my own cell, nor been given special treatment. ALSO, there's NO possibility that my personal shrink could have persuaded the sherriff to put me on house arrest simply because i could not deal with jail. in case you haven't noticed NOBODY LIKES JAIL!!!!!!! NOBODY!!!!!

but they all find a way to deal with it. they don't scream MOMMY, or else THIS ISN'T RIGHT when they figure that money cannot buy their way out. it's certainly not my problem that she's spoiled, and pampered. period. she broke the law, deal with it. suspended license, that's a charge, a violation of probation is charge #2!! she got off really light.

all she has to do is shut up, rot in jail until june 25th, then she's out!! most folks in jail with that sentence would be VERY happy with that.

also, until you actually go to jail for nonsence, shut up, quit talking, because when you speak you show your true ignorance of the realities of the situation.

1025. I'ts sad to see anyone go to jail, but its even worse that someone purposely commits a crime. Break the law dailey and not give it a second thought. Laugh it off and expect to get mercy from the judge.
I think it is quite odd that the new season of simple life starts and all this hoopla is getting her publicity. I have noticed everytime Nicole Richie is scheduled to be on a show or gets publicity, Paris does someting stupid to get publicity. Seems she wants all the attention. She played the game too long and far. So now someone will teach her to grow up and take responsibility for the silly things she does. Makes you wonder if all this is not publicity for the Hilton Hotel and family.
Nichole, you should get your life on the right path. Simple Life is just exploiting you young girls. Get with your friends or parents and do someting good with your notoriety. Use it to help others.
Good luck. I hope the best for you both. Mean while pray for my son who is serving in the military and will be going over seas to serve his country. Our troops are fighting for your freedom. Use your freedom for good.
Pray for all our troops and country

1026. Leave Paris alone..yes she had a couple of minor offenses, she didn't murder anyone (OJ, Robert Blake). So she's rich, she was born rich that is not her fault. Yes, she can act like a brat sometimes, my kids do too and they are not rich. People need someone they can "hate" and Paris is the flavor of the year. Is Lindsay going to jail too, she should she crashes her car every other week and leaves the scene ( I thought that was a crime too). Mel Gibson didn't go to jail for his "crime". They are using Paris to "set an example". For all you people who think Paris is faking this, well then she is one hell of an actress. Lighten up, if it was your child rich or poor how would you feel? No I'm not a huge Paris fan, not sure I even like her, but give the girl a little slack.

978. wake up america, paris hilton is not a threat to society!!!!!!!!!
but there are countless scu m of the earth out there molesting children raping & murdering young women, pedophiles using the internet to exploit children&countless other violent sociopaths.....................but it's quite interesting to see the vengeance directed at hilton. i believe theres alot of envy&jealousy ,because afterall wouldn't we love to be as rich as paris? use your anger towards ending slaughter in iraq or prmoting environmental awareness. society has much bigger issues than paris hilton!!!!!!!!! you all need to get over it & wake up & smell the coffee!!

988. Am very happy that she has been released. Good for Her and her Lawyers. She should have been put on House arrest in the 1st place.

All you people on this board are just hating on her because she's rich. Justice is different for the rich so why are you surprised about her being released early.

We all knew this was coming in the first place.

Rock on Paris...I'm not one of your fans but I felt you were being used as an example.

Note to Paris...Hire a personal Driver

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

thanks michelle for getting political to defend (supposedly defend) another US citizen who breaks the law and thumbs their nose at justice. thank you for comparing apples to oranges!!! your logic is somewhat broken to say the least.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mama Me, you are totally correct, justice is totally different for the rich and the poor. look at OJ simpson for example: he murdered 2 people and he walks free today because Johnny Cochran decided to use the chew-baka defense...it's called diversion and get anyone who would listen to ignore the facts, and listen to ridiculous nonsence...and it worked, because of the low IQ of the jury and the facts and evidence that the judge decided to NOT ADMIT into the courtroom. yep, he got away with 2 murders, and yep, he had high priced lawyers as well...i agree with you. justice can be bought with enough cash!! thanks for backing up my point: too bad he MURDERED 2 human beings, and paris hilton is just too dumb to realize that a suspended license means that's it's ILLEGAL TO DRIVE!!! LMAO!!!

2 totally different crimes for sure: OJ is a real threat to the rest of us, paris is just a threat to herself!! but at the same time, she needs some jail time to remember the lesson here. justice served in this case.

1029. Dear Myname,

I'm flattered that you think I represent the Hilton Family. Actually, you are wrong; I do not. I can see that my opinions really upset you. It would be laughable if it weren't so sad that people like you are so easily angered when someone has a different opinion than their own. The most comical thing you have said is that "I" am ignorant. You are clearly close minded and incapable of looking at both sides of an issue. You state: "also, until you actually go to jail for nonsence, shut up, quit talking, because when you speak you show your true ignorance of the realities of the situation." By the way, it's spelled N-0-N-S-E-N-S-E.

Since you are speaking with such authority...does this mean that YOU have served time for "Nonsence?" I bet you have done time in the clink. You really sound like a person with vast knowledge of the ways of the world. You must have learned that from all of the Rhodes Scholars you chilled with in the pokey. Maybe someday, I can have the opportunity to share your experience so I can know of what I speak.

I believe that it is unreasonable that Paris is having to go back to a 45 day sentence when the Judge had already reduced it to 23 or so, just because he is unhappy with the Sheriff's decision to send her home. I don't believe that the Sheriff would lie about Paris having a medical problem and He is not at liberty to reveal what that is. He clearly felt is was serious or he wouldn't have violated the Judge's order not to allow reassignment to home confinement. I don't think it's fair in any way, shape, or form for Paris to have to do double the time because the judge is upset with the Sheriff.

I'm not a fan of Paris'. I don't see the appeal personally. I am a grandmother and I think she probably appeals to a younger audience. I just know what is and isn't fair. I don't think she should be hated just because she is beautiful and wealthy. Her life is still difficult. None of us have walked in her shoes. I am just appauled by the level of hostility and evil, profane things that people have said on this blog. I never realized that so many people are so miserable.

1031. She has no problems other than the spoiled whiner threw a tantrum at having to go to jail. Give me a break! What happened to her little oscar winning speech about doing it the "right way" and showing people "she's not what they say she is?" Right out the window! And her mom saying she hopes something good would come from all this.......something good would be if mommy and daddy wouldn't throw their weight around to bail her out. Just suck it up and take it......everyone ELSE has to.

Posted at 5:04AM on Jun 9th 2007 by cyndi

1032. From the description I've heard, her medical condition sounds like withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. She's in need of a fix, that's all.

Posted at 9:34AM on Jun 9th 2007 by babbleon

1033. She needs to be where she is. Sure she is upset, she is in jail, I would be upset too. When she was released the rumor was she order cupcakes and her hair and make-up people. Not sure is that is true, but if it is house arrest for her is back to normal, but I am sure that if I was ordered to do 45 days I would being doing 45 days no matter how much I cried.

1034. Sorry, no sympathy for Parasite Hilton. She should act as if she has class, not just money. Oops, her porn films show us that she has no dignity or class.

A HOSPITAL NOT A MANSION

A HOSPITAL WITH SPECIALIZED MEDICAL TEAM ,PSYCHIATRIST'S AND PSYCHIATRIC NURSES AND OTHERS.

Stop the lies
