Paris' Newest Accessory -- It's Off the Chain!

Paris Hilton's Ankle BraceletTMZ has the lowdown on the electronic monitoring device that will adorn Paris Hilton's ankle for the next 40 days. Luckily, it's black and will match anything she wears! Swarovski crystals not included!

L.A. County law enforcement officials tell TMZ Paris is wearing the Sentinel DualTrak ankle bracelet, which operates on a radio frequency and comes with a Home Monitoring Unit. The heiress must stay within 500 feet of the unit. The bracelet, which has an internal backup battery life of 50 hours, snaps on, so Paris won't need to worry her purty little head with any tools or complicated strap harnesses. Get your mind out of the gutter! For hygienic reasons, the bracelet also comes with a disposable back plate, which eliminates any tedious cleaning on Paris' part. Phew!

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that Paris' house arrest does not come with any provisions regarding visitors or restrictions on alcohol use.

Translation: Party at Paris' this weekend!

76. O.k. let's do the run down on Paris's ankle braclet and all her terrible jail sentencining
at home is going to do to her: I say let her drown in her own misery when she see's
what people think of her now. She has lost respect from the human race in every
country in this world. How could anyone ever of had respect for her in the first place.

We gave her the benefit of the doubt and she lost it.

She is the one who has to deal with all of us the rest of her life and I don't believe
this will die down and go away considering my husband, and several of our friends own
car dealerships and have been to jail and back AFTER THEY SERVED THERE TIME,
and had to start over again but at least they have respect for themselves and all the people around them still repect them and they own their car dealerships again.

She can never gain our respect so she gets to live in HELL with people staring and pointing and snickering behind and in front of her the rest of her life for this one episode.

I think she is going to get what she deserves, now lets concentrate on the police dept. and judge that allowed this to happen. We need to get their names and work on them now.

77. i REALLY can't stand her, i mean REALLY. she's like a car wreck, you just can't help but look (albeit she's more amusing). let's face it, anyone would do anything withing their power to get out of jail time. if i had the $$$ i think i would too. my point is that it's really not her fault, if one should be enraged at anyone it's the people who let her go. they should face the wrath of all this rage. i think her doctors, the sheriff etc all received a little sum'in, sum'in for this. then again what do i know, i'm just a nobody from the great white north (that would be canada) ;-)

84. THe least that the LA Law officials could do was ensure a press moritorium so that we don't have to put up with any more of her pity-party antics for 40 days!

86. I have just spent the entire morning contacting, emailing, and calling all the people who could be held responsible for this disgusting compromise of the socialite, now turned parisite, Paris Hilton. Only one emailed me back, and this was their response:

"The Los Angeles County Sheriff is an elected official in his own right. As a result, The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has no control over sentencing, release dates or medical assessments of prisoners. That said, Supervisor Knabe is adamant that if Paris Hilton has been reassigned to house arrest and placed on electronic monitoring, it is imperative that the Sheriff makes every minute of that sentence stick. Paris Hilton needs to serve all 40 days of her full sentence on electronic monitoring."

I am starting a petition to put Paris Back in Jail. All who are interested, please email me at CaliforniDreamin@aol.com. I will be emailing you the petition to sign. We will then send it to all that matter. All of you who are pissed, please write.

89. Timeless story. Girl with money and a publicist breaks the law. Girl with money and a publicist gets out of it. Let's see if I could check into jail late Sunday night, spend Monday (1), Tuesday (2), and Wednesday (3) in jail, have it count as 5 days and then "get reassigned" to my home. HMMMM, since I don't have money (or a publicist) I doubt that would happen. All of the polls being taken and outrage being expressed by those of us free to express is humorous. Let's take a poll of all inmates incarcerated for the same infraction for which Ms. Hilton was convicted . . . . . . Now those responses just might be interesting.
