Paris Hilton's Ankle BraceletTMZ has the lowdown on the electronic monitoring device that will adorn Paris Hilton's ankle for the next 40 days. Luckily, it's black and will match anything she wears! Swarovski crystals not included!

L.A. County law enforcement officials tell TMZ Paris is wearing the Sentinel DualTrak ankle bracelet, which operates on a radio frequency and comes with a Home Monitoring Unit. The heiress must stay within 500 feet of the unit. The bracelet, which has an internal backup battery life of 50 hours, snaps on, so Paris won't need to worry her purty little head with any tools or complicated strap harnesses. Get your mind out of the gutter! For hygienic reasons, the bracelet also comes with a disposable back plate, which eliminates any tedious cleaning on Paris' part. Phew!

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that Paris' house arrest does not come with any provisions regarding visitors or restrictions on alcohol use.

Translation: Party at Paris' this weekend!

91. Stupid, really stupid. Just because of who she is and where she comes from she gets special treatment. If she were just a regular citizen, she'd be doing what she was supposed to do in the first place. This is totally uncalled for. Personally, I'm sick of hearing about all of her problems.

96. The sheriff's department of Los Angeles .. what a bunch of pushovers to be taken for this kind of celebrity ride. They did everything but kiss her skinny ass, and even THAT ought to be investigated. What's the spanish word for it ... Stupido! And as it turns out, the judge who said she'd definitely do the 23 days ... LIED! The 10AM press conference was a joke, as is the L.A. judicial system, from top to bottom.

100. What a travesty of justice. So someone esle with money has basically been given a "get out of jail free" card. Gee, what punishment to be confined to the mansion with 500 feet of leeway outside. Poor little rich girl couldn't eat the food in jail. What a slap in the face
to average United States citizen. i can guarantee that if I were in that situation (I have no record of any kind) I would have spent the entire time in jail - liking the food or not.
This type of favoritism is what is driving the wedge between the priveledge upper 10% and the rest of us.

105. I wonder how many of her fellow inmates, especially first timers had "difficult" times the first 5 nights of their incarceration? I wonder how many were told to suck it up? I wonder how many asked to go to the nurse because of fear and anxiety and were told that they couldn't? I wonder how many are on the 17th+ day of their sentence? How many can't afford to pay for the monitoring device?

This stinks of corruption and is a shinning example of how wealth an influence trumps law, order and incarceration. LASD...you're nothing but a joke dressed in khaki and brown.
