Paris' Newest Accessory -- It's Off the Chain!

Paris Hilton's Ankle BraceletTMZ has the lowdown on the electronic monitoring device that will adorn Paris Hilton's ankle for the next 40 days. Luckily, it's black and will match anything she wears! Swarovski crystals not included!

L.A. County law enforcement officials tell TMZ Paris is wearing the Sentinel DualTrak ankle bracelet, which operates on a radio frequency and comes with a Home Monitoring Unit. The heiress must stay within 500 feet of the unit. The bracelet, which has an internal backup battery life of 50 hours, snaps on, so Paris won't need to worry her purty little head with any tools or complicated strap harnesses. Get your mind out of the gutter! For hygienic reasons, the bracelet also comes with a disposable back plate, which eliminates any tedious cleaning on Paris' part. Phew!

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that Paris' house arrest does not come with any provisions regarding visitors or restrictions on alcohol use.

Translation: Party at Paris' this weekend!

122. Too bad all the death row inmates, including murderers, rapists, would be terrorist, gang members who've been caught and just pettey or big time theives didn't have Paris' lawyers.
Just think how nice the world who be for those of us who can't afford private security and body guards.
I'd say "have you no shame Paris?", but your picture says it all.
Screw the world. I'm rich and pretty and I don't care about anything except me. Oh by the way. Your mother needs to be bitch slapped into next week as well.
What a loser.

123. For the record, JT & Hahahahhaha are the same person. And actually, when I moved to Las Vegas I bought a car and lost the title. I ended driving without registering the vehicle for almost a year without getting pulled over. Cars without license plates on the road out here are not usually pulled over, that's why I was able to get away with it for so long. I did get pulled over when a tail light went out. I ended up getting charged with no registration, the tail light, and even some weed that my brother was smoking and placed under his passenger seat (driver is responsible for contraband found in vehicle). I was released on my own recognizance (no bail) the same night without having to post bail, even though I argued with the young cop (first time ever) because he was trying to show off for his female partner. My brother was held only for the weed he had on his person, but had a bail by the next day. My weed charges (I don't smoke weed or anything else, nor do I sell, or even drink for that matter) were dismissed but I paid a $530 for the registration & tail light.

No extra burden was heaped on me for not being rich or having powerful connections. And I was released the same night without bail because I do not have a criminal record. My brother was a heavy weed smoker and had $50 worth on him and due to it being in several small packages, he was initially charged with intent to distribute, which was later reduced to simple possession of a small quantity.

My point is, people that aren't rich don't automatically get the harshest treatment. There are other factors that immediately come into play such as the kind of crime and your criminal history or lack thereof. The first thing the cop asked me when he pulled me over was if I had ever been arrested before. Even if I was a criminal and tried to lie, with my driver license he would have found out if I was a career criminal, petty criminal, violent criminal, or clean--(as I was). And I don't condone what Paris did, I 'm just saying that people don't like her (it's like the fashionable thing now, partly due to the media) and want to treat her like she raped a kid or something.

124. Ok...so what happens if she's allergic to the monitoring device...will they take it off so she doesn't get a rash? I'm just trying to think ahead and what possibilties exist to enable her to get out of her current 'punishment.'

125. Legal Justice, I get you, and don't have a problem with that. At least you're telling the truth. It's like the fun, popular thing to do...part of "pop culture" if you will. Some of these people are doing it for the same reason as you, some just follow the herd and are influence by whatever's "trendy" and some are jealous and envious. Others are just plain haters. lol

126. It is a fact the America TRIES an CONVICTS many many totally INNOCENT people of crimes they did not commit. These innocent people spend DECADES in prison because they do not have the FUNDS for fight back to regain their rightful FREEDOM. I would like to continue the think that America is still the BEST country in the whole wide BLUE BALL PLANET we live on. In this case I believe very strongly that the RICH and FAMOUS can and will get out of anything! It is still the thought... if a person plays with and breaks the LAW of the land, then abolutely the person should take the same strong charactor traits that got them into trouble in the first place and.......DO THE TIME!!!!!

127. I guess if your born rich, famous or whatever in the US you get away with anything!!!!!!!!!! I am disgusted that she is out!!!!!!!!!! I guess this country is all about "HOW MUCH" money your daddy has. I know in my heart (seen it many times) the normal everyday joe would of been put in jail and loose their lisence even longer for breaking the law while ESPECIALLY while already on probation. The judicial system in this country is crazy and unfair. But, like I said I guess if my daddy had tons of cash I would probably get away with everything. I personally think she should be put in rehab with NO excuses to get out for a minimum of 90 days. And also pay 10 times the normal fines for what she did the system is going to be unfair because of her "Status". Sick of celeb's who take serious advantage of their "status" So someone please answer me this. Why is she so special????? She didnt make her family fortune, she cant sing or even act but because she is the Hilton daughter she gets every opportunty life here in the US has to offer even getting away with breaking the law. This country I really hope someday will wake the F up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

129. The way I see it, a vehicle in the wrong hands is a very dangerous weapon. Where I live there are far too many people who drink & drive & get away with it. Unfortunately many end up in the position where they kill someone due to their negligence. She however took it even a step further. How do you not know your driver's lic. gets suspended? Because your not bright enough to read your own mail? She broke the law and went through the system. I don't know what the usual punishment for her crime is,but it wasn't like they gave her life for it. I agree that there are far worse criminals that should be behind bars, but I don't make those rules either. Its hard to feel sorry for someone that places themselves in the limelight and make fun of the less fortunate. I hope the rest of America can raise smarter, more responsible children,or elseI fear our country is truely doomed.(Prisons should be for true criminals. Unfortunately the system has to waste its time trying to scare people into doing the right thing by sending them to prison. This is an example of wasted tax dollars)

130. Total joke!!!!!! Why are we( the rest of the 'working class') standing for this?? She is such a joke and why is the "REAL" American public, who go through the day by day grind of staying afloat, standing for this? Boo Hoo Paris!!! Once again the rich get away with murder.....or DUI!!! She is a disgrace and so is our legal system! What's good for one is good for ALL!

133. It's time to call Al Sharpton!!!! He will fix this one. This is just unreal. Our justice system is no longer a justice system.

134. I'd like to shove those cupcakes right in her face. I guess she had to get out of jail to get her hair and spray tan fixed. Cause without all that, she'd just be an ugly, skinny, tall common looking girl.
