Paris Well-Wishers: Mom, Dad and Dominick Dunne

Paris Hilton's parents, Kathy and Rick, showed up at their daughter's West Hollywood home this afternoon and were greeted by a swarm of paparazzi. The beleaguered parents could barely make their way to her front door through the pack of paps!

Meanwhile, famed author Dominick Dunne mulled around outside. He told reporters that he was in town for the Phil Spector trial, but just had to check out the scene at Chateau Hilton. Dunne actually expressed a twinge of regret about Paris leaving jail early, saying, "I think she should have served out the whole thing. I think she could have come out a heroine. Man, I don't know, this sounds like rich kid stuff."

First Don King says Paris is "what America is all about," now Dunne calls her a would-be "heroine." What a day.

31. Guarantee they had to let Paris out because of drug detoxing. The rash is just a symptom. She has spent years honking down large quantities of booze and coke. Go to jail, go cold turkey. And the hours she lasted in the pokey also coincides with how long it takes for all the last of the chemicals to leave your body... which can manifest as a rash to accompany the vomiting and shakes.

35. Dear Paris,

It is with pleasant surprise that I hear that you are back at home, though I understand that you have a medical condition that prevents you from sitting in a secluded, solitary, jail cell. I am so happy to hear that you will be able to serve your remaining sentence in your home, where I am sure that the medical condition will not affect you. Hopefully this serious condition is not life threatening - it appears that it does not affect your ability to drive. Perhaps it causes some form of mental disturbance that prevents you from understanding the term "suspended license". You should definitely have your recently fired - recently hired publicist let us know if this is the case. We are all so worried!

I am certain that all of your friends will be happy to see you, though they must suffer at witnessing the harsh and difficult times that you are facing. Fortunately, they will be able to comfort you in person! And truthfully, this is not unlike the visitation privileges that are accounted to all prisoners.

It should be obvious to everyone that the rumors of your fame and popularity being the reason that you are able to serve your punishment at home are completely false. After all, you were treated unfairly and your sentence was both cruel and unwarranted. Why should you be forced to serve any time in jail? After all, you are so pretty! Besides, wearing orange prison clothes would not be the best look for you. Oh who am I kidding, you could so pull that off.

Is it true that they are forcing you to wear an unsightly ankle bracelet that will keep you from actually leaving the house! How are you going to be able to survive without going to the clubs? You will just have to drink and party at home, and that gets so old! But you know what, I bet that Tiffany will make a special diamond ankle bracelet for you, or at least something big enough to cover up the ugly one. That would be so hot!

Well, sorry that I have to be so brief, but I am a little bit busy myself. I am getting ready to leave the club, but wanted to take this time out to write to you. I have had a couple of drinks, but I think I will just drive home instead of calling someone. I hope that I am OK, and that I don't get into an accident. Actually, I am fine to drive. Even if I get pulled over I am certain that with your legal precedent, I will have an easier time getting out of trouble. Be sure to thank your lawyers and that wonderful Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for me too! I hope that you are OK, and I want you to know that I want to be just like you when I grow up!

Sincerely,

Every young girl who idolizes you in the country

43. I am livid about this. I got pulled over in Beverly Hills for not having my registration paid. I was taken into BH Jail on a friday night and was going to be kept there for the weekend!!! I had just had an female operation (TOTAL TRUTH) and trying to be "smart" used it as an excuse to be released. I spoke to the jailers, etc., and the next thing I know I was on my way to L.A. County Sybil Brand Institute (which I think is now closed because it was such a pit). I was told I was going there because they have FULL FACILITIES TO CARE FOR SICK INMATES. That she got out BECAUSE of medical reasons, is such a crock. I went through everything she did, but I was segregated in an open (meaning bars all around where everyone could see each other) cell. I live with the memories of my weekend there to this day. The voices of those mixed up crazy girls still haunt me. When I got out on a Monday and they were giving me back all my belongings the "check-out" girl looked at my drivers license and said, "We've never seen anyone from Palos Verdes here before," and I said, "And you never will again." THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT PARIS HILTON GOT PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT AND I AM OUTRAGED. I HOPE, BUT DOUBT, THAT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IS LISTENING.

44. If you need a "Get Out Of Jail Free" diagnosis, contact Dr. Charles Sophy (if you can pull him out of whatever Hilton Hotel suite he's vacationing in). Let him know what you think of his "diagnosis"!!!!!!!!

45. bye... I was trying pretty hard for sarcasm.. I think that the decision to let Paris go is a travesty of justice. It shows that the rich and famous get anything they want, and average people get screwed by comparison...
