Paris Well-Wishers: Mom, Dad and Dominick Dunne

Paris Hilton's parents, Kathy and Rick, showed up at their daughter's West Hollywood home this afternoon and were greeted by a swarm of paparazzi. The beleaguered parents could barely make their way to her front door through the pack of paps!

Meanwhile, famed author Dominick Dunne mulled around outside. He told reporters that he was in town for the Phil Spector trial, but just had to check out the scene at Chateau Hilton. Dunne actually expressed a twinge of regret about Paris leaving jail early, saying, "I think she should have served out the whole thing. I think she could have come out a heroine. Man, I don't know, this sounds like rich kid stuff."

First Don King says Paris is "what America is all about," now Dunne calls her a would-be "heroine." What a day.

62. Hi everyone I'm from Florida. I'm just wandering what just happen to our american justice system.County jails all around America have people with mental cases. But they are during they full sentence . They are saying because she is a celebrity thats why she got punish like she did no she is a human being like the rest of us .You break the law you do the time. She had probation she violated that. Her sentence got cut in half . That's not justice that's favoritism because of her celibrity. I'm going to call whoever I can to get this situation resolve . Otherwise I will help all americans who had the same crime within the last 10 years years overturn. Also compensated for the time they spent in jail. Thanks in advance for reading my comment hope everyone feel the same way I do. May GOD BLESSED US ALL.

She doesn't get it. She takes no responsibility. Even in her press release claiming that she did, she talked about how she hoped she wouldn't be treated worse than other people. She was treated waaaaaaaaaaaay better! and as long as she blames everyone else for this, she will never take responsibility, and no justice has been served.

64. Don't watch Dominic Dunne's programs, don't buy his books, don't buy anything Paris. The marketplace is about the only way you can express your distaste.

65. Rey,

I think that movement is absolutely right. It was a violation of a direct order of the court, therefore, it was an illegal action, and LASO should have to be accountable for that.

66. Exactly, Princess! She only got half of the max anyway, and yet she and her few supporters have acted like she was persecuted! If that were true, the max wouldn't have ever been put into place...clearly, at some point, her crime was deemed to be worth 90 days in jail...and it had nothing (you can hear the gasps of the Parisites, can't you?) that's right, it had NOTHING to do with her.

67. Poor, poor Paris. Now she must lounge around in a 4,000 foot mansion, in luxury, and while her time away anyway she chooses. She can eat what she wants, sleep in her cozy bed, watch TV, read, whatever her little selfish heart desires. How sad. I am sure all those who didn't get out early, must feel so sorry for her. A perfect example of the broad gap, between the super rich, and powerful, and the have-nots, in this country. If its any ordinary Joe or Jan, they stay in jail, and do whatever time they got. No breaks, no sympathy, no matter how crude the conditions. Some even resort to commit suicide to get out of their distress....I know it has happened where I live, and no doubt thruout the entire country.

Jail for the common folk, is not just losing freedom, it is a living nightmare. What a crying shame. This countries so-called justice system, is for the poor folks who have little money, and no influence, on those in high places. This is a country in which 1 out of every 10 people is incarcerated. I know from personal experience(my own sister, who is much older than Hilton), just how unjust the system in the good old USA is for the poor. I have the utmost sympathy for those who deserve it...Hilton is not one of them. This girl thumbed her nose at the law, her mother heckled the judge, and yet this happens...This is proof who the "justice" system is really designed for.....the weak and the poor. Not to say there aren't criminals who deserve to be locked away...but too many are those, who perhaps should not be. These have my sympathy.

69. Dominick Dunne is either very out of touch with how America Feels about Paris getting special treatment.

Or the man is showing early signs of alzeimers to be calling the shallow superficial all looks no brains Paris Hilton a possible hero.

70. Really it didn't sound to me like Dominic actually /was/ supporting her...it seemed more like sarcasm...and he did say she needed to serve her time....

This just goes to show that when we band together and express great social displeasure in legal actions, some people will listen! This is really great!

72. If they really and truly wanted to punish her they would of done the following; wear a bright orange jumpsuit-no makeup-no hair extentions- fancy nails-etc-etc appear in public this way 24/7 for a year. That would hit her where it hurts. What vain-spoiled rich brat she is. That would be the true Paris Hilton. And her parents are no-better supporting her behavior. And the sam with the justice system. Shame on all of you.
