Unlike other Hollywood starlets, Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't like to drink ... while driving up her credit card bill!

TMZ has learned that Sarah kept things on the straight and narrow width, while shopping with a friend in New York on Tuesday. Sarah stopped by retail emporium Te Casan in Soho to get her routine shoe fix -- and to see if they had stocked up on half sizes -- she wears a 6 1/2. If the shoe fits -- wear it, girl!

After charging about $600 on two pairs of Gianluca flats, Mrs. Freddie Prinze Jr. requested a cold drink from the store's bar and specified that it definitely had to be "non-alcoholic." Hmmmm. Was the 30-year-old beauty just not in the mood for a cocktail -- or could this be a sign of something bigger to come?! Time will tell, baby!

1. See they do exsist! This is a star (granted she may not be the best but neither is Lohan) that started at a young age and we never anything about her becuase she never got into the whole paryting thing (either that or I am too young and don't remember).

2. Well, this is refreshing thatr someone of star status like this doesnt drink. How ever I still think Gellar has a rotten personality. I have seen her be unreasonably rude to talk show hosts like Jay Leno, Leno asked her once on his sheow when her wedding would be. She rudely snapped at him and said"DONT WORRY YOULL GET AN INVITATION.""She gets a star in the say no to alcohol department. She should get a kick in the butt for her snooty personality though.

4. LOL, she wasn't being rude by saying "don't worry, you'll get your invitation" and Leno knew that. She laughed when she said it as well. He was prying about wedding plans and she was telling him a bit about it. At that point they probably hadn't had everything set yet. I don't know how that shows that she has a snooty personality. You either misinterpreted the moment (which I really don't understand how you could have) or you're just lying for the hell of it.

Oh well, Sarah's adorable. Can't wait to see if she and FPJ ever have kids.

5. She's said in many (older and recent) interviews that she doesn't drink, so I doubt she's pregnant...I mean, maybe she is, but I don't think she's abstaining just because of that!

7. Maybe she just doesn't like alcohol. Then again, maybe she's pregnant, and wise.

Incidentally, Sarah Michelle Gellar is almost a dead-ringer for Lindsay Wagner, and could play Jamie Summers in a remake of The Bionic Woman. (though, I guess, in a way she already did, as a different 'Sommers', Buffy, fighting all manner of evil things with Slayer powers in plotlines very similar to the old Bionic Woman TV series).

9. She does drink, she has said that she does in interviews. Perhaps before she turned 21 she said she didn't...I do think she has said that she doesn't drink much though. It' not like it really matters, maybe she (like most people) doesn't drink when she doesn't feel like it.

I would have probably opted for something non alcoholic too. I usually like to be completely sober while shopping but that's just me.
