Sheriff's Union Pissed at Hilton Release

The president of the Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) says the Sheriff's Department may have given Paris Hilton a break she didn't deserve.
Prez Steve Remige told TMZ, "There appears to have been preferential treatment." Remige added, "This is not the first time that this has happened. Remember Mel Gibson."

Remige believes preferential treatment is coming from Sheriff Lee Baca himself. Baca has denied giving preferential treatment to celebs.

As for Paris, Remige said, "On any given day, a thousand female inmates are in custody. Why is one case, out of the blue, treated any different than them?"

Remige says there is a huge medical facility designed to treat inmates with health problems, and that releasing Paris should not have been a first option.

18. Let's not be fooled by the reasons give - everyone knows that celebrities are given special treatment. You would have to house each prisoner in The Four Seasons Hotel to equal Paris being confined at her luxurious home.

19. I have a suggestion. It is time to write to the television stations and their sponsors and demand an end to this obsessive coverage of Paris Hilton. It is disgusting.

20. Paris being let go is outrageous!

If she was a woman of color serving 45 days for DUI, do you think she would be allowed to go home because she didn't feel well?

21. ...uh huh, wouldn't it be better to have thought of this while she was, well i don't know, in prison. this would be funny if it weren't true and she wasn't a spoilt bitch.

23. well we should be seeing Ms. Hilton out and drunk about anytime. Next she'll get her house arrest taken care of also. It just goes to show that it matters who you are, not what you've done.
Hopefully the next time she has a wreck or is driving without a license she will run into someone the sheriff is close too or loves.

24. This is apparently a Hollywood country. These are the people our children are looking up to. This is why our system is so corrupt. NO ONE should get special treatment. We all probably predicted it. Did anyone REALLY think she was going to stay there the whole time? Maybe she was jumped...
Either way those who have "medical" problems don't get released. What's the fairness in that? There isn't anything that can justify their actions either. Money talks. 'Fess up.

25. Would they have released her early due to "health problems" if the drunken slut and killed someone while driving her car?

26. Who wants to bet the sheriff's department has some new vehicles, new equipment, etc., suddenly start showing up in the next few days?

27. Of course they gave her a break she didnt deserve! I have never been so sick in my life of people being impresed with celebrities and these jerks getting preferential treatment becasue of who they are. I am sick of idiots like Paris, Lindsay Lohan and other goons hogging the media. It is the media who is so impressed with them, not the public. Celebrating jail release publicly should be reserved for POWS, those imprisoned over something they didnt not do. Those who served hard time and learned a lesson. Not some rich goon who drove drunk and then broke her probation. However, I knew Hilton would only serve a few hours or days. Boy was I right.

29. I guess I don't have to worry about driving drunk. I can just not eat and send my sugar levels crashing and be released! BRILLIANT!!!

Someone please investigate! Her very early release is unfair to the other inmates currently in that jail that have an actual medical condition. If Paris did not eat, then send her to the infirmary, not home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to see this injustice corrected by sending her back in.

PLEASE SEND HER BACK IN BECAUSE HER RELEASE WAS A MISTAKE! CORRECT THE DAMN MISTAKE AND INVESTIGATE BACA!!!!!!!
