Sheriff's Union Pissed at Hilton Release

The president of the Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) says the Sheriff's Department may have given Paris Hilton a break she didn't deserve.
Prez Steve Remige told TMZ, "There appears to have been preferential treatment." Remige added, "This is not the first time that this has happened. Remember Mel Gibson."

Remige believes preferential treatment is coming from Sheriff Lee Baca himself. Baca has denied giving preferential treatment to celebs.

As for Paris, Remige said, "On any given day, a thousand female inmates are in custody. Why is one case, out of the blue, treated any different than them?"

Remige says there is a huge medical facility designed to treat inmates with health problems, and that releasing Paris should not have been a first option.

62. The judical system in our country is a joke! The punishment given is not related to the infraction or crime that was committed but to who you are and how much money you have! This seriously needs to be investigated!

63. Everyone in the LA area should be storming the streets and demanding the sheriff's immediate resignation. This should be the biggest news since the OJ riots. Call all the county commissioners, courts, police and complain.

65. You all know that attorney Hutton had this all set up before she ever went to jail. It was more than likely setup before the last court date. Thats how things work with the courts and lawyers, everyone knows whats going to happen before it does, they just dont let it go public until it happpens. I know when i went to court the laywer had it all set up and even told me what to say and what not to say. Nothing but a normal legal scam, it happens everyday in every court across the country. The only way to stop it is to have many people protest to the judge and courts until they get tired of all the media attention, until then forget about anything changing. Wrtie the courts and you are wasting your time, protest in front of their building or the prison and you will raise some eyebrows. White people dont protest like they should, if paris was african american you would have Jesse and Al and 10,000 other african americans in front of the prison with 500 camera's on them already. They would be there if she was guilty or not protesting both ways. They need to fire who ever let this happen!

67. I was a repeat offender and did jail time ( a little B & R) , community service and an 18 month program every Saturday, AA meeting twice a week, couldn't drive walked my kids everywhere, got rides to and from work, class etc. Anyways my only point being is that this sucks because this dumb ass can get limo rides when we have to take busses, cabs, bikes etc. struggle while the judge looks at us and the sheriff's dept. like a herd of cattle and treats us that way but when it comes down to it we still have to complete court ordered actions. I don't drink & drive anymore and this happened a few years ago but it comes down to one thing, innocent children, families on the roads, this sentence just enforces the fact that the system doesn't care and neither does she. Keep driving just stay clear of me!

68. I wouldn't want to Be Paris Hilton from today on ( I never did anyway, but...) everyone in

America with anger is totally pissed even more today. She just allowed herself to be a

moving target....her people are really dumb. This is a really dumb move...anyone who

works with her is going to be ridiculed for enabling her from here on out. She will never

be able to walk around the same again. Unless it comes out that the medical problem

is due to some sort of severe assault, there is no reason to let her out. Joe Francis

doing his time and is totally coming unglued...still there. Jack Kevorkian...cancer and

old...stayed the whole time...I am surprised there wasn't a riot at the jail when they heard

of this.

70. You all are being WAY too hard on that girl. Don’t tell me you do not know 1 person who has had over 2 DWI’s and never did one freakin day in jail. Awww. I know of a big LOOSER in Saranac Lake NY. (Ryan M) who has had 3 DWI’s, been caught driving with out a license several times, , beats women and has DONE NO TIME. Take it easy on the little princess.

72. Sure, it's unfair. If everyone is so pissed about it, those of you out in CA need to take matters into your own hands and exact "justice" on Paris yourselves! Obviously, the legal system doesn't care to do it. She needs to serve time more for her crimes against humanity than her stupid probation violation!

75. This is an OUTRAGE. There are not enough foul curse words in the English language to fully, and accurately display, nor register the anger I am feeling right now. I am SO fed up with celebrities and rich people being held to such a lesser standards than those people who SUPPORT those people, either by buying their products, etc.

But it's our own fault.......we coddle these celebrities. Quite buying their products and looking up to them. Start shunning them in public and eventually they WILL go down in flames.

Same goes for Lohan, Spears, Richie...........drop them all.
