Celebrity Justice
Sheriff's Union Pissed at Hilton Release

The president of the Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) says the Sheriff's Department may have given Paris Hilton a break she didn't deserve.
Prez Steve Remige told TMZ, "There appears to have been preferential treatment." Remige added, "This is not the first time that this has happened. Remember Mel Gibson."

Remige believes preferential treatment is coming from Sheriff Lee Baca himself. Baca has denied giving preferential treatment to celebs.

As for Paris, Remige said, "On any given day, a thousand female inmates are in custody. Why is one case, out of the blue, treated any different than them?"

Remige says there is a huge medical facility designed to treat inmates with health problems, and that releasing Paris should not have been a first option.

91. Kathy Hilton said it had already cost them a lot of money in the courthouse.

So, either it cost them a lot more money than they already had spent (plus Hutton's salary) or else the Sheriff's department is going to be really pissed at Miss Hilton.

We had a woman near here that said the police were pulling her over every time she got in the car.

Don't think they won't be watching her from now on.

And we all know there is not a chance in the world that she will stay under house arrest for more than 48 hours. That girl cannot and will not stay away from the clubs.

Or maybe she will turn her house into a temporary nightclub.

However you look at it Paris looses in the poll of public opinion.

92. BACKLASH:

A. Take the protest to all the exclusive clubs Paris and her buddies hang out at.

B. Protest their catering to the under-age privileged celebrities--have their licenses revoked.

C. If her mansion is now to be her prison, her incarceration will probably be assured with mobs of people surrounding the place day and night. Maybe they'll bring a grill and sell LASD hot dogs. Since she loves so much attention--give it to her. At least she'll have her own princess pillows to drowned out the noise while she's trapped inside.

Any earlier comment is probably correct--maybe she should consider leaving the country, at least for awhile. Did she ever think that creating her own image sensation could make her a prisoner of her own ego and vanity? She really is an easy target now and unfortunately, there's enough whackos out there to watch out for. Gee--maybe they're not all locked up, huh?

95. Just in, Paris is going to get to be at home for 40 day's with an ankle bracelet instead of the 40 days in jail where she belongs. And for the person who say's this kind of thing happens everyday with celebs, mostly white celebs, just ask LiL kim and any rapper. The good thing about this is that a president has now been set, Everyone of those female inmate's in that system should (1). start crying daily, (2). say that they are having a nervous break down and need desparetly need's to go home, (3). If refused, gfile a class action lawsuit against the prison, Sherrifs Dept, and the State of California!!!!!!!!!!!!!

99. This is all a big joke! She is a spoiled rich bitch who should be serving time or at least she should get her license revoked, but then again she wouldn't know what that means. So now she gets to sit in a luxury hotel for a few weeks and that is supposed to be a punishment! Our justice system sucks. If she didn't have any money she would be in jail right now.

101. Is the sherrif who ordered her release appointed or elected to his position? If elected, vote him out. If appointed....lay the blame on whoever appointed him, and get him removed.

103. Ridiculous! This is why, stars, athletes, etc. do things sensible people would not even try. They know they have a good chance of getting away with it! Even Martha did at least a year, and her crime did not physically threaten peoples lives. How long before she screws up again? California, what are you doing? Glad I don't live there anymore, state is definately sending a bad message to the youth. So long as mummy & daddy have money, they can get me out of what ever trouble I get into.????? Americas new entitlement.....disgusting, simply disgusting!

104. Yes, I'm PO'd Paris got released but the exchange is we don't have to see her for 20 more days due to her having to serve 40 days in house arrest as opposed to 20 days in jail.

105. Threats to Paris are angry children and will not resolve this.
Write, E mail & call those that can make a difference.

Many in the jail have mental issues and in fact some have been incarcerated due to actions from their mental condition.
They are poor,That is the only difference in this case.
