Dog and Beth to Paris Haters -- You're Full of It!

You might think that Dog and Beth Chapman -- the toughest, hardest bounty hunters around -- might take a tough stance against Paris Hilton's early release. Think again!
Dog and Beth Chapman support Paris
The Chapmans, who spoke exclusively to TMZ late last night, have both spent a little time in jails themselves and think that Paris has already been punished enough for what they call a "traffic offense" -- and they have just one question for all those outraged observers: Have you ever spent even an hour in jail?

Dog, star of A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter," says he gave serious thought to making a very unusual plea to the judge in Paris' case after hearing of the 45-day sentence. "I was going to offer to do the 45 days for her," he says. "And if anyone hates jail, my brother, it's Dog Chapman." Dog's prescription for punishing Paris? Putting Paris under "Dog Arrest" and having Beth give Paris a stern talking-to about drinking, driving and life.

Beth tells us that in her 20 years in the bail bonds biz, she's never seen anyone who committed Paris' crime -- which she calls essentially a "traffic offense" -- get such a stiff sentence. "That L.A. City Attorney [Rocky Delgadillo] is a joke. Three days in isolation for a person like Paris is more than enough. What you can't do is waste taxpayer money so a bunch of people can get their rocks off."

31. Yeah TMZ, I agree with Dawn: Why are you giving time to these two fools? I saw them on You Tube going to after- Oscar parties looking like the cheapest trailer park trash and now it seems they have their sights set on L.A. and befriending other so-called celebrities.

32. DUI merely a traffic offense? In Canada, this is a felony.

If you wish to travel to Canada and you've had a DUI in the last ten years, Immigration Canada will deny you entry.

Besides the legalities, as someone who has lost friends and family to drunk driving, I am very disappointed in Dog and Beth.

33. The point is that in our judicial system, the judge determines what's fair.. not a sheriff... not a bounty hunter... not a bailbonds woman. Some things to consider:

1. She wasn't going to stay there for 45 days, her sentence was cut in half.
2. She didn't have to stay in a county jail... she could have stayed in a cushy celeb jail but choose not to so she could show that she was like all us little people.

My opinion... this thing was all planned out in advance by the sheriff, the shrink, and the princess. She was never going to do the time. The fun part for us is the fact that she will never outlive this. It will follow her until she's old and wrinkled. In the end she'll wish she'd just done the time.

34. 1. DUI hasn't been considered a minor offense since Mother's Against Drunk Driving organized a long time ago.

2. Paris already was given a stern lecture about obeying the rules, when she was sentenced to probation. She didn't listen. Besides, which Paris is not a young, confused or misguided woman. She's 26. She is expected and required to act with the maturity of her age, instead of acting like she's 16 and just made a youthful mistake. Paris is even way beyond college age, during which people are given 'some' leeway for doing stupid stuff.

3. Paris was sentenced for ignoring her probation, and not for being arrested for DUI. It's getting annoying that people can't comprehend this concept. I don't know if it's willful ignorance, or if these folks just have a 'poor Paris' complex. The terms of her probation were fairly simple -no driving and attend alcohol education. Nothing draconian about that. The stiffer sentence came from her thinking she was more important than the court.

4. Sounds like these bounty hunters are sucking up to the rich. I wonder what they hope to get from that. It's unlikely the Hilton's will invite them to a pool party.

36. I used to be a fan of Dog and Beth. Watched their show all the time. Paris was drinking and driving. I can understand an immature kid defending it but 2 adults who supposidly catch the bad guys?

These two have lost all credibility. I hope they throw Dog in the Mexican prison and throw away the key. What a menace.

38. Everyone jumping on the band wagon for more publicity. My son was killed by a wreckless driver and had his license suspended, drove while suspended and beat the charge. He never served one day and should have, just like paris should. If she doesn't learn her lessen now, then she will most likely kill someone. Put her back in and show these morons that laws are for everyone!

41. By the way, most of the poor are given an option, Do your time or join the army. I say let's give her that option. The we can ship her ass to Iraq where she'll find out how hot the simple life really is.

43. What Dog and Beth are failing to understand is that this is a PROBATION REVOCATION!!! It is NOT UNCOMMON to have to serve jail time for a PROBATION VIOLATION. They are speaking as if she got the 45 day sentence for the original charge. If you dont put bite in probation violations, why the hell hire probation officers!!!!!!

44. I love Dog, I love Beth, and the show. I enjoy the family and I think they are DECENT people that do right in society [its a shame society hasn't done him right].

BUT a minor traffic incidence? You go to schools to educate little children dog, I WATCH you go out of your way to keep trash and drugs OUT of your schools for the kids.

So what you just told the entire world was-it's ok to drive drunk. So it's ok to drive on coke? ice? any other kind of drug too? WTF are you talking about. Rescind that statement man. The actual person you're talking about doesn't mean $hit in society, I understand this. BUT this is not a minor traffic incident. Obviously you haven't lost anyone yet to hit and runs by drivers under ANY influence.

Take it back.. you're dead wrong dog.
