Dog and Beth to Paris Haters -- You're Full of It!

You might think that Dog and Beth Chapman -- the toughest, hardest bounty hunters around -- might take a tough stance against Paris Hilton's early release. Think again!
Dog and Beth Chapman support Paris
The Chapmans, who spoke exclusively to TMZ late last night, have both spent a little time in jails themselves and think that Paris has already been punished enough for what they call a "traffic offense" -- and they have just one question for all those outraged observers: Have you ever spent even an hour in jail?

Dog, star of A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter," says he gave serious thought to making a very unusual plea to the judge in Paris' case after hearing of the 45-day sentence. "I was going to offer to do the 45 days for her," he says. "And if anyone hates jail, my brother, it's Dog Chapman." Dog's prescription for punishing Paris? Putting Paris under "Dog Arrest" and having Beth give Paris a stern talking-to about drinking, driving and life.

Beth tells us that in her 20 years in the bail bonds biz, she's never seen anyone who committed Paris' crime -- which she calls essentially a "traffic offense" -- get such a stiff sentence. "That L.A. City Attorney [Rocky Delgadillo] is a joke. Three days in isolation for a person like Paris is more than enough. What you can't do is waste taxpayer money so a bunch of people can get their rocks off."

76. This is absurd. This is about a DUI and her thumbing her nose at her sentence. She decided 3 times to ignore the conditions set to her by the judge.Isn't this sort of like Saddam Hussein ignoring the UN for 7 years and he had to face his consequences. Paris is the consumante whining spoiled rich skank!! She should get MORE time in the slammer...the reasons she isn't going into the court is because she can't show that rash they said she had..it's all a lie!!

78. Thank you Dog and Beth! No one wants one set of laws for the rich and famous and one set for the rest of us. But at the same time, it's not fair to punish anyone MORE SEVERELY than the rest for the same offense. There's no need to break her down either. She's a good girl -- yes she was born into priviledge, but she's no brat. We'd all be better served if Paris could emerge strong and responsible for her actions -- a very public example of grace under pressure -- and that's extreme pressure we're talking about. Someone younger kids look up to and learn from. Have a heart, people! And Chapman family, you are the best!

79. I think I've got it worked out - that is, what the judge should do.

1. Put Paris back behind bars to server the remainder of her 23 days - it's not her fault she got let out.

2. Put the Sherrif person who made the decision to serve the amount of time that Paris didn't - two days or whatever it works out to. That'll teach him. If he wants to let someone out without the proper authority to do so, then fine, provided he takes that person's place....

80. hey guys remember whats she is jail for. Violation of probation, driving without a license. My son spent 2 days in jail for the same thing in Texas. His original offense was dwi.his sentence was 4 months. Overcrowding got him out. i was so happy, I agreee with dog why waste tax dollars, just to put one person in jail cost the city at least 5000. Just to process and court. For a normal personal. go Dog and Beth and we all need to stick up for fairness of the law. Not Fair. Boy doesnt' Dog know this Right Dog!!!!!!!!

82. I HAD some respect for Dog and Beth, but no more, the fact that they are taking her crime as a traffic offense and totally disregarding the DUI and the driving while having a suspended license...........well they have just lost me as a viewer of their tv show. I don't care if she cried in jail................or is depressed, you were ordered to serve time you have to serve it.

83. and who the hell are these 2 ugly lying fools dog and his dog wife thinking that they know what's best for paris? paris and the rest of these young foolish tramps and their friends should all be locked up and put away....permanently. if i was young, dumb, rich and spoiled like some of these so-called "celebrities", i guess i could get away with murder

84. Dog is nothing but a puppy anyway, that fool couldn't catch his wife playing around with another dude. What do you expect from an idiot anyway, WHO IS THIS DUDE? Puppy, you must like the company of men in a small jail cell since you're so eager to go back to jail with your homies.

85. i have spent time in jail. i was cuffed and locked over and held overnight for an outstanding traffic warrant.

so yes..i have spent time in jail on a traffic infraction and no feel no sympathy for her. i did my time honorably. i sat in the cell, kept my yap shut, i talked to no one and no one talked to me.

i wasn't given the courtesy of solitary and it was dark, smelly and spooky. that weekend made me turn things completely around.

87. Dog, I love your show and agree with you most of the time. I had a DUI and was sentenced, part of that sentence is suspension of your Driver's License, and being placed on probation. In some states violation of probation is mandatory 1 year in jail. We can't forget that the probation is a part of the Driving under the influence sentence. I didn't drive and violate my probation so I got the fines, community service and probation. I also did go to jail. Paris not only violated probation once but twice. Being that this is a part of the DUI sentence which is very serious, she could have killed someone else or herself. Violating probation is not a "traffic offense "it's a violation of the DuI sentence. When you think you can do what you want and opt to disobey the rules of your probation you have to pay the consequences. 45 day MAY have been excessive but she did violate her probation twice. That may be the reason. Jail sucks, I've been there, and at the time I owned 3 businesses and was high profile but I still had to be treated like every one else. She doesn't even know what a laundry mat is, so I imagine a jail cell is pretty eye opening. We need to send a message to the celebrities that they have to abide by the same rules the average american has to abide by. Her shirt, "I'm Paris Hilton and can do what I want" says it all. Let her learn her lesson and be done with it, it won't kill her, it will be scary but I guarantee, she won't do it again. That keeps us and our families safe on the road. Thank you for letting me share my opinion.

89. No Beth........haven't served one hour because I didn't do any CRIME!

The outrage is because criminals like you and Paris think people should tolerate your poor judgment and decision making process.
