Lets Get This Party Started
Paris Outrage Explodes, Sheriff Stays Mum

Paris HiltonThe loud chorus of questions and accusations surrounding Paris Hilton's early release from jail got a whole lot louder, but the Sheriff continued to play the medical card to defend his decision.

Local officials continued to shake their heads at the heiress' treatment, with L.A. County Supervisor Mike Antonovich calling her release, says the New York Post, "a mockery of due process." He added, "You're dealing with a spoiled brat acting out to get her way instead of serving time as was adjudicated by the courts." Ouch.

But Sheriff Baca, under fire for letting Paris go home, stood by the medical rationale, telling the L.A. Times, "justice is being served by the decision ... She would still be in the county jail if it were not for the medical advice." And as for her receiving star treatment, Baca said, "My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice."

And Rosie O'Donnell -- remember her? -- weighed in on the liberation of Paris in her own mocking way on her blog at rosie.com, "Paris is free/praise the lord/as America awakens/from a deep sleep."

Martha Flips Over Popped "Egyptian" Driver

Martha Stewart lost it big-time Tuesday when the car she was riding got stopped by cops, who arrested her driver. As Page Six reports, the domestic doyenne was on her way to appear on "The View," when her car got pulled over and was surrounded by the po-po. It's unclear why the driver was arrested, but whatever the reason, it sure made Martha mad. According to a source, she started "shouting loudly," saying, "How could you do this to me? Don't you do background checks on people? He was Egyptian! What do I pay you people for?" According to Martha's company, the driver was a temporary employee and was with MSO only a short while.

With three boys on Team Beckham already, they're hoping for a little lady. ... George Clooney took to the hardwood after the "Ocean's 13" premiere in Las Vegas -- in his own hotel room. Clooney stayed at the Hardwood Suite at the Palms Casino Resort, and rocked Moon Nightclub and the Playboy club until the wee hours. ... "Stars" of reality TV, like "Survivor's" Rupert Boneham, "Real World's" Tonya Cooley, "Big Brother's" Chicken George, and "American Idol's" Scott Savol will be populating Nashville, Tennessee on June 30 and July 1 for the second Reality TV Convention.

47. If Sheriff's are elected officials instead of appointed by god, then there may be some money being planted in their war chest. Rosie is no example and a bully still and she I am sure drinks and drives or dives or sails or crafts. Martha has every reason to be pissed for almost being late for the View because her people didn't screen her driver. There's no room for Temps, even those agencies ought to scan before hiring.

53. Hi TMZ!
I love your website and visit it more than I'd like to admit to myself and others. I was outraged as everyone else yesterday and decided to start a PROTEST PARIS HILTON site. I am simply asking everyone to protest the Hilton brand. My site is very minimal because I am a newbie at doing anything like this but I still want my message out there.
Please keep this posted....PLEASE!!! I tried to post it on Perez Hilton but oddly enough he won't let me....hmmmmmmm....on the payroll maybe????

With much love,

54. OMG! PPL only want Paris in Jail because she's a spoiled brat, who has lived a very privilaged life, not because of fairness or justice, they just plain want to see her in jail. Even the average person doesn't get this harsh of a sentence so why should Paris? People want to see if someone of Paris' status can handle being in jail. This isn't about justice at all. If they were going to put her in jail, they should have AFTER her 1st arrest for DUI Paris was extremely lucky that she didn't hurt anyone, but she went to court and she was placed on probation. She was later caught for driving on a suspended license though that should result in punishment but not jail time... Hopefully after this, this will be a wake up call for Paris and she will change her image that reflects her in a more positive light. Even I think she has an attitude that she is above the law and can get away with anything. She probably has never been held accountable for any wrong doing which is sad. But sending her to jail isn't the way to handle this... But because she went and is now placed under house arrest I do think that it is sending the wrong message to everybody else. She should have just done the time (or continued with the appeals) and when she came out, she probably would have earned a lot of of the peoples respect.

55. I am HOPING Rosie is being her sacastic self in that oh so smart statement, because nobody in their right mind thinks Paris should be out.
Another thing, they seem to be sticking with this medical release crap, but I'm wondering, if that's the case, is she THAT contagous? Do they not have place for people with highly spreadable illnesses to go? Is she putting everyone at risk??? NAH! She is just being a cry baby, a spoiled brat. I can not wait to see it blow up in her face. If it doesn't, I'm moving to another country. (Not really....it just pisses me off.)

56. Pikes:

I agree. The only press she should be getting is by the girls at the jail.

57. ************************************************************************************
1) Paris' sentence was reduced from 45 to 23 days for good behavior before she even arrived

2) Paris was given a private cell with TWO bunks in a private area

3) Paris was allowed daily time with her private celebrity-psych DR. Normally you use the jail staff for medical matters

4) Paris could have been seen by the in-house medical staff and / or transferred to the hospital unit or another facility if the in-house staff felt that was appropriate

5) The Sheriff seems to be star -struck and is a Scientologist with an agenda

6) 74 Hours and 15 minutes is not 5 days.

7) Besides worrying about Paris' paid DR (makes a living getting people out of jams) we should worry about the matter of JUSTICE and how other inmates feel, how the public feels, etc. Letting her off early creates disrespect for our courts and jails.

8) The Prosecutor and the Judge will do all possible to return her to jail I think...there is an existing court order and internal procedures were not followed here. The in-house staff were not examining her mental state and determining action. The outside DR which noone else is allowed trumped everyone.

9) Any treatment she is being given can also be done in jail, or revised accordingly, or other DR's opinions sought

10) The Michelle Rodriguez case got no attention because there was no publicity compared to this case

11) This is a Judge / Court Order VS Jail Boss battle. Who sentences a person...the Judge or the Sheriff?

12) If all cases were handled like this one there would be no rule of law at all...it would just be Anarchy and who you know & who you bl**. Why even have jails, judges, laws, rules, procedures, punishment?

13) Paris agrees she did "do it" there is no question that she was falsely accused or whatever.

14) She can be transferred out of state

15) People will not respect this situation unless it is straightened out. A fake suicide risk after 1 day for a brief stay is not credible. Just do the time.

16) All future physical / mental health matters should be controlled by the in-house staff - they are trained and have heard every possible scenario many times before.

17) The morale of Police, Court Employees, Judges, Jail Staff and others matters too - is their entire career a big fake nothing?

18) Rules need to be fairly and equally applied to everyone

19) If Paris wants respect she needs to shut up and do what the Judge says to do

20) Good behavior should be a matter handled normally. If she behaves well, then the necessary forms and procedures need to be followed. No other prisoner I have ever heard of gets awarded good behavior before they show up. Good behavior also includes things like not making fake suicide claims you know and making a mockerly of the entire thing

21) Paris should NOT write a book or profit from this at all to the extent that is possible

22) Paris is now grossly overexposed and so she has peaked. She is ripe to be replaced with another bimbo

23) The Sheriff needs to be held accountable if he did not follow procedures. Something more severe than the voters holding him responsible nearly 2 years from now. Sanctions, removal, disciplinary procedures, watch dog in future matters

24) Court Judges need to stand up against abuses like this

25) The Sheriff will likely complain he has no funding. Fine, ship the folks somewhere else

26) Paris's Father needs to be a Dad here and help/encourage his child to do the right things. He has been woefully absent so far, maybe the Mom took over and is just an older Paris anyway and so nearly incompetent

27) There needs to be a quick, decisive, clear outcome today. Not an agreement to form a committee or hire some new experts later this year

28) Things like this sort of lack or Justice and Favoritism happen accros the USA all the time in Family Court. They tend to just reward Females for showing up at the expense of Dads and Kids.

29) How Justice is handle tells you a great deal about a country and the state of it's civilization. Look at the overseas reactions to this mess

30) Read about how Rome Fell long ago. Things like this happened routinely, the lack of justice, the apathy, the lack of focus. Come on America, get going!!

59. Look...She got a DUI. They suspended her license. She drove anyways and got busted. If that would've been anyone else we'd have to deal with the consequences as well. I do believe the punishment is consistent for everyone else.

60. #11 She could be ordered to serve her time elsewhere, like in Tent City :)
