Paris Will Spend Weekend in Med Jail

Paris Hilton will probably spend the weekend in a medical ward at the jail facility where she surrendered Sunday night, referred to as Twin Towers.

We're told the plans will firm up within an hour. Hilton will stay there over the weekend, when her lawyer will file an appeal, called a writ of habeas corpus, which means, essentially, the body is being held illegally.

37. Am I missing something? I mean where I come from if you get a dui and then get caught driving under suspension, you get three days in jail.

39. The judge's sentence was too harsh, but that's his call. She needs to serve her time. She needs a drug test. And if she is positive then no good time- all 45 days.

42. Wow - withdrawal - what a surprise - just shocking! (Yes, read that with sarcasm...) No wonder why she somehow got the sheriff to let her go home - she was probably making his life a lot of fun in jail. Or maybe his bank account should be looked at... Now she'll have to go through it all again. That was smart. Hasn't she ever been told that life's not fair? Oh, that's right, she's rich, so probably not. She's just learning that now - it's an important lesson for those of us in the human race - maybe this will be good for her!

45. Hello! Her "medical condition" is drug withdrawals! DOH! So every convict that comes into LA county jail as an addict must get to go home when they get the shakes too. How nice for them to be able to go home to feed the habit. Great Job Sherriff's department!
