Paris Will Spend Weekend in Med Jail

Paris Hilton will probably spend the weekend in a medical ward at the jail facility where she surrendered Sunday night, referred to as Twin Towers.

We're told the plans will firm up within an hour. Hilton will stay there over the weekend, when her lawyer will file an appeal, called a writ of habeas corpus, which means, essentially, the body is being held illegally.

46. I think it's strange that she has to be at the medical ward at the jail, but she didn't have to be at a hospital when she was released. Curious.

50. She is such a douchebag. So is her skanky mother. I hope both of them get inoperable cancer - then they'll know what needing medical attention REALLY MEANS.

I'm hoping for cancer of the ass.

52. i dont understand why she cant look at this as another episode of the simple life. Its only for 40 days- she acts like shes serving a life term.

53. Boo hoo - NOW they are appealing the sentence? What about a month ago when it was actually handed down? If the sentence was so outrageous why have they waited so long? Answer: They are only appealing b/c now they see that she'll actually have to do the time.

54. Why do these people keep saying " she was just driving on a suspended license" No she violated her PROBATION. When that happens they revoke you and you go back to jail. At least that's how it works here in Illinois. My fiance had his probation revoked for a misdemeanor and got 30 days in the county jail. Guess what he went, did the time, and was released. Get over yourself bitch.

55. is she serving 45 days or 23 days? This is from Yahoo "judge announced his decision: "The defendant is remanded to county jail to serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence. This order is forthwith."

60. Hey J-Me

She didn't get 45 days for driving on a suspended license. God I am so sick of everyone thinking "oooh, it was just a traffic violation". Not it wasn't. She violated probation. For the average person if you are sentenced to 3 years probation and you violate, then you are looking at 3 years in jail, not 45 days. Get over yourselfs. She is getting what she deserved. By the looks of these comments you are all saying it is ok to drink and drive. Oh really? For how long, till you kill someone?? She is not above the law. If it were you, you'd do more than 45 days. That's for damn sure.
