I actually feel bad for Paris. However, people are saying that she wouldnt get this sentence if she wasnt famous that she only drove on a suspended license. Actually I got my license suspended because i didnt pay a fine, and got caught. The second time I got caught driving on a suspended license they said it was mandatory jail time so I had to fight it. So they do put people who drive with a suspended drivers license in jail.
Paris was cited for DUI. Paris was cited for driving on a suspended license and then was cited a second time. My license was suspended. I was not given the option of driving to/from work. For 30 days I rode a bike 30 miles to get to work on time.
The difference? I learned my lesson, expensive though it was ($800 fine) and I have not had any issues/runs with the law since then.
Where is the personal responsibility of Paris to understand what is going on and take the necesary steps to get her life back in order.
Her father's wealth, and until he dies, it is still his, does not reliever her of her personal responsibility to follow ALL laws regardless of how she feels about them. Period.
Man, she shows no remorse. Her parents are carrying on like she was sentenced to life without parole. SHe could have killed someone on that road while drunk. She should be happy that didn't happen...
Paris - You laugh at the "little" people of the world on "Simple Life." So who's got the last laugh now, you spoiled little brat. You compare yourself to Lady Di? If you were even one fraction of the woman she was, you'd be lucky.
Paris....... what in the hell is your problem. It's plain and simple, my dear. You broke the law and you should do the time. Even if you didn't kill anyone or anything like that. People, including you, who break the law, should serve their time in jail. Is that so hard to understand ?!?!?!?
And for those of you idiots who say "well, you would be upset too if you were in her shoes". Get a life. HELLO. I am not in her shoes, because I don't break the damn laws. It's more fun to watch the famous people and Mexicans do that for me.
No wonder so many celebrities live in California. They know they get away with more and can get the justice system on THEIR side.
I got a DUI in 18 months ago in Riverside County. I remember all of the forms I had to sign, including the ones not to drive. She drove, she got caught and there is NO WAY she did not know. If so her army of high priced lawyers should be dis-barred.
What she got is a standard sentencing, period. No special hard or soft treatment. Maybe the spoiled brat will learn something from this.
Hope Paris sees the opportunity to GROW UP!
My son had to go to a locked facility too and he yelled and screamed.....he didn't like having to be accountable for his actions.....funny how some folks think they don't have to.
If Paris finds it's too difficult to stay in a regular jail cell for her emotional health then she can always go to the mental health unit which I'm sure she wouldn't like any better. I say own up and take responsiblity you'll be a better diva for it.
besides it only temporary Paris!
I think she is having alcohol/drug withdrawals! That is what the symptoms that Greta van Sustren were talking about sound like. Sounds like she has some time to detox. haha.
ALL I CAN SAY ID THAT I HOPE THEY REMEMBER THIS WHEN THEY SENTENCE THE KILLER/MUREDER BRANDI TO PRISON FOR CRSHING A HUMAN BEING TO DEATH WITH HER CAR WHILE HIGH ON CRACK AND DRUNK!!!
Mommy mommy mom mommy mom mommy help me mommy mom mommy please mommy mom mom mom mommy please mommy!
Bwaahahahaha.
And to the kook that said "All she did was drive on a suspended license".
WHILE ON PROBATION
AND A "CONDITION" OF HER PROBATION WAS -----NOT TO DRIVE!
When you are "GRANTED" Probation yes it's a PRIVELEGE you are REQUIRED to follow the judges ORDERS. Also when on PROBATION you are told IN NO UN-CERTAIN terms that to BREAK your probation will result, IN ALL THE BAD STUFF THEY TOLD YOU WAS GOING TO HAPPEN AT YOUR SENTENCING WILL HAPPEN. Since you BROKE your probation.........
She didn't FOLLOW one of the judges orders - NOT ONE.
No DUI Classes, and she drove and she was caught SEVERAL times before that on film ALSO driving. Openly flaunting the JUDGES ruling, judges don't "usually" appreciate that.
I know I know I am speaking to someone who wants to reward Illegal Aliens for breaking federal law, by giving them citizenship. I'm sure right?
So next your gonna tell me that when my car gets stolen, even if I find the person. They get to keep my car....right? I mean that is YOUR America right?
Max Sawdust
she deserves to spend the remainder of her sentence ,the sheriff was wrong to let her out...and oh John YOU commented.....O,T yourself
I actually almost feel sorry for her because of the circus it has turned out to be and because I would freak too if I had to serve time.
This is a young woman who is used to having everything and getting out of any trouble with the help of her family or her looks and this is something she cannot get out of.
She drove on a suspended license twice after the driving under the influence incident. Not once...twice! The punishment may be harsh, I would not know because I am not a lawyer or a judge. However the judge felt that was what was needed. Letting her out just shows our children that look up to Ms. Hilton that if you become famous, you can be above the law as well. Heck you show that to the world really.
I pray this goes by quickly for her but she needs to be held accountable for her actions, just as any Joe Blow off the streets would be.
To Jenashbri(post #12):
WTF are you talking about, your post makes NO sence at all.
My father WAS CAUGHT driving under the influence of alcohol. AND SERVED HIS TIME in the 8 by 12 cell you describe(for 8 months).
And yet you still deny that she didnt receive fair treatment in jail! She is getting off easy and is paying for her debt just like everyone else(the average working person) is. If you dont think DUI/DWI isnt a serious crime, think again. AND SHE BROKE HER PROBATION FOR THE SAME OFFENCE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE AND WAS NEVER CAUGHT THE SECOND TIME!! DUH!!! SHE DROVE ANYWAY AND GOT CAUGHT!
GIVE ME A BREAK AND GROW UP!
To number 12:
It is proven that when someone gets a DUI they have actually driven drunk MANY times before. The difference between Paris driving drunk and one of us po' people is that Paris can afford a cab, call a driver, get a motel, etc. Also if I'm driving a Saturn and Paris is driving a Mercedes S series she is much safer in an accident than I am. She can roll a Merceds and walk away. Also if I didn't attend the court ordered alcohol counseling I would go to jail. Where does Paris get off that she thinks she can thumb her nose at the court system? They offered for Paris to do community service and her whole ordeal would be over but SHE refused that because she couldn't be bothered with "serving the community" the very community she endangered by driving drunk. I guarantee you Paris will drive drunk in the future. All the boo-hoo that she's not eating...SHE NEVER EATS! I think she has a cocaine addiction and the hardest part of her sentence is the detoxing. They let her out because she was about to have a nervous breakdown? You are supposed to be broken down in jail. That means it is having the right consequence, ugh I'm so sick of Paris!
