Miss Hilton is not in jail for her DUI offense. She has been jailed for failing to comply with the courts orders because of her DUI offense (Twice she has ignored them) The judge gave her community service, which she never did, he also suspended her license to drive, and she kept driving and was stopped late at night without her headlights on going over 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. She ignored ALL of the courts orders. This is why she is now in jail.

While I do understand her being frightened by being in jail, anyone who has never been jailed would be. I think most people are outraged by her yelling to her mother that it was not fair, her going back to jail. They are outraged that Paris and her family seemly believe they are somehow above the law because they are rich. No one in this world is above their country's laws, as long as they are not outside of Gods laws.

If Miss Hilton was truly mentally ill, the prison here in the states, have state of the art Hospitals to help Miss Hilton , WHILE she is still serving her time. We have criminals that are critically ill, on chemotherapy that are well cared for in the Prison hospitals. If Miss Hilton is having a mental problem, the Prison hospitals are more then willing to work with her doctors to help her, WHILE she is in prison.

She deserves no more compassion then the next person. She has reaped what she has sown

Paris was offered and turned down community service.
The justice system is unfair in many ways. It needs to begin with treating all celebrities as average citizens.
Your comparing Michelle Rodriguezis is just desperate, there are diffrences you do not wish to see.
I would like to compare Paris to my cousin who did indeed get 60 days for his first DUI. He had one mark on his record fom 1 year prior
A speeding violation.
He did his 60 days on week ends so he would not loose his job.
His car was towed at his expense.
He attends Alcohol awareness class 2 times per week and His fines and fees will take a few years to pay off. Not to mention the high risk auto insurence he now must carry
He is also on probation for 3 years and unlike Paris will have a record that will prevent him from getting a good paying job, No excuses, He messed up, In the real world..

926. That picture of Paris crying in the back seat of the police car is my favorite picture of her.
It's the only picture I have seen of her that isn't fake. Remember the shirt she had on when she was with Brit. I'm Paris Hilton and I can do anything I want. Perhaps you should re-think that remark poo poo.

927. What Paris did was wrong. But who do you blame? She was raised her entire life that she always got her way. That she was untouchable. That no matter what she did mommy and daddy made things all better. It's only sad that she crossed over and become an adult and didn't learn that she's and ONLY HERSELF is responsible for her actions. I truly believe that she should be punished but I do believe that there would be other more productive ways that would make her face reality then the way that there going at things.

930. Kat - you are a former attorney? Bet you were one of those that defended lawbreakers like Paris.

I have been on comment sections from other parts of the country to see what is being said there. Almost every other state would have given Paris a much stiffer sentence than she was handed down. California lawyers have become so very good at helping lawbreakers out of their messes.

THAT is why the privleged get away with so much - because of the well paid lawyers doing not what is right by the laws of the land, but by doing right by their clients. I honestly cannot believe that these lawyers truly believe that their clients are innocent of their crimes. What a travesty of justice is being doing in this country!!!!!!!
