18. THis is so stupid , with this girl going around acting like Paris. And people need to lay off paris. im no fan of Paris, I normally think she is a spoiled, insensitve brat. but for once in my life i feel sorry for her, Yes, she needs to pay her debt like everyone esle would, yes, she is a spoiled brat. But how would anyone like to be in a situation like she is now, with media right in her face as she is crying and being taken to jail? Half the world is making fun of her. This is probably all too much for her to take, it would be for most people. people need to leave her alone and let her do her time in peace.

19. This is so pathetic. I am sick of turning on cnn and Nancy grace and every other news channel and hearing about Paris. She is not the only person in America who Had a dui or violated their probation. When are we going to start hearing about real news. Does anyone realize that everytime she is on t.v. as Breaking News she is just able to make more money out of this situaton. News channels should focus on real news. Celebrities love getting press whether it's good or bad. And sitting out side her home waiting for her to walk out is just pathetic. America is not focusing on real issues like the war, gas prices and finding missing people who are abducted and killed. Start showing real cases so we could work together to get those people in jail.

21. I commend the judge. House arrest is usually after a small stint in the slammer. Speaking of slammers, I guess there will be no party for paris for a few weeks. Except a few pity parties thrown by her closest "friends". I just hope that ONE spoiled brat celebrity learns something and starts to appreciate all they were ever GIVEN. What really irritates me is, I have fallen victim to giving this whole business my time of day. I spent 30 days for a second dui. Thank God no one was hurt in the accident. It is a very serious offense and should be dealt with seriously. People die from dui,not always the driver.
My God, if you're that rich, GET A CHAUFFER! The BODYGUARD could drive! DESIGNATE a DRIVER!

23. I don't know what the laws are in CA, but in WA state, where I live, Paris would be sentenced to 364 days in jail. The maximum sentence for a first time DUI is one year. Most offenders do 1-3 days in jail and get probabation. The sentence for violating probabation, as she did, is typically 1 year minus 1 day in jail. Violating probabtion is a serious offense. Vioating probabtion twice is just plain asking for it.

Paris got a very good deal with only 45 days.

24. Baca has to live with the realities of running a very overcrowded jail. That is the REAL issue here. He needs that space for a real badass. That area is 23 hr lockdown for hardcores, not 90210 bunnies. Its resources he can't waste on people that should have gotten community service or house arrest.

The judge gave a ruling from his ego. When every a judge decides to "make an example" of someone the citizens need to rise up. Anyone of us could be the next "example".

To the LA County prosecutors, the same morons that let OJ off the hook due to their incompetence I say this: congrats! You could Paris Hilton in jail.

25. All I have to say to "Paris in '08" is that we elected the rich, village idiot before, what would be new about Paris. She is the new village idiot. Really, I know, my father is the grandson of a well-known east coast banking family and none of us would be allowed to act like Paris. My mother calls them "new money", gauche and ill-bred people. My family has been in America since 1689...on the east coast. The icky Hiltons started their company in 1919 and in TEXAS, yuck. You won't find their name in the social register...look it up, not there.
