76. She should have just done her time...for pete's sake who would like jail, of course it's uncomfortable and noisy and frightening...get a clue....ITS JAIL! What makes this worse is because she is so incredibly pampered it seems she feels she can disregard the law...she was caught twice driving drunk while on probation for drunk driving! She is so wealthy why not have a limo or one of the many syncophants drive her drunk butt around? It is fortunate she didn't hurt or kill anyone while driving intoxicated. I think her mental deterioration is a normal reaction for any sane person who had to go to jail, especially for a rich person--talk about culture shock.

77. I have watched Paris pose her way to stardom, a woman with zero accomplishments, yet so much status. A child born with no rules and she flaunted it. She needs to learn that she lives in a society that has rules where money and fame is not going to save her. Serve your time princess and remember your life's lessons, teach them to your children so that they may not be perceived as spoiled as you. It must really suck to have so many total strangers dislike you! They don't dislike you Paris, they dislike the way you have taken advantage of your life and they want you to life by the same rules we all do.

79. I'm glad that the judge decided to make her go back.. When you violate your probation you have to go to jail. end of story. I'm a 5'8" skinny blonde girl too and i'm only 20. I consider myself a VERY kindhearted person yet i had to go to jail for 15 days of a 45 day sentence for violating my probation. Yes, we all make mistakes and if we're caught by the law we have to pay the price! and dammit if i had to go why shouldn't paris have to go??? Yeah, it sucked, and i don't think anybody's mental conditions are good in jail. That's why it's jail! It's designed to be the worst experience possible and make you upset so you don't ever want to come back. Living in her comfortable mansion for 40 days with an ankle braclet would hardly be a punishment, in fact it would probably be better than a most beachside resorts! The lesson she's about to learn in the next weeks in jail will last many many years if not a lifetime. Living in her beverly hills home would not teach nearly the same thing. To say that's it's not fair because other celebrities don't get treated that way is BS! For one instance there was a man who violated his probation with marijuana and got 17 YEARS! He just got out of jail a few months ago. Now a measly 24 days doesn't look that bad. That sheriff is a sucker, just bc she bats her pretty eyes and says (probably) shes thinking about hurting herself, which believe she would never do in a million years.... much too much to live for and she knows it. If she hadn't gone back to jail it would have made our American legal system look like a complete JOKE! ...getting sentenced to 45 days and then... oh it's okay, that's too harsh, you just go on home. HA! Theres people who are unjustly in jail RIGHT NOW who have been waiting for there plea bargain for months! And I'm also a Paris Fan, but she does need to be treated like everyone else in her position.

81. What Paris Hilton did was wrong- there is no way around that fact. But what the press and now the court /prison system is doing to her, is just as bad, if not worse.

To have a failure in the court/prison system allow her to go home, then send her back- is wreckless and irresponsible to Paris as a person, and citizen. This is a very tough time for her or anyone in her circumstance- the difference, most others going through this- don't have to deal with the bottom-feeding press that drowns Paris at this tough time.

People that I know that have broke parole or probation have had to serve the remainder of the time in jail so I dont think she is being treated diff...... but the papp's are crazy out there in la I would hate for some one to be around me all the time trying to get a pic the pics from yesterday was only worth 50 dollers is that worth all that bullcrap!!

84. Please, the little brat is finally getting what she deserves. For all the simple minded supporters of this "troubled girl" let's at least get a few things straight:

LIE) Paris is being unjustly punished for driving on a suspended sentence!
TRUTH) Paris was arrested, tried, and convicted of DUI and Reckless Driving. She had her license suspended, received a suspended sentence and was placed on probation. She was caught twice driving with a suspended sentence, the second time she was doing 70MPH in a 35 MPH zone without headlights (it was dark), which constitutes three violations of her probation: Speeding, Reckless Driving, Driving on a suspended license. Her punishment is not just because she was caught speeding, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license, it's for that AND violating the terms of her probation.

LIE) Paris is being treated unfairly. Most people would only get a fine or have to spend three days in jail for this!
TRUTH) When Paris was convicted of DUI and Reckless Driving she was given a suspended sentence of 36 months. The Judge gave her the option of reducing it to 24 months if she wanted to perform community service. Paris has never indicated that she wanted to perform Community Service (surprise) so her 36 month suspended sentence stands. When she violated the terms of her probation, she became immediately eligible to server her FULL SENTENCE. That's right cats and kittens, you think 45 days is rough? The judge has the right to sentence her to do the FULL 36 months if he wants. See, DUI/DWI isn't a laughing matter. In fact most of the folks on this thread right now would be $25k to $50k in debt to their lawyers and still looking at the possibility of some prison time for getting a DUI/DWI. Princess got all the breaks and she still managed to piss it all away. The Judge giving her 45 days is LENIENT for two probation violations, believe me, he could have done much worse.

LIE) The Judge has no right to tell the Sheriff how to handle his prisoners, she should be under House Arrest!
TRUTH) California Penal Code grants the Sheriff the right to release from jail and to send them home to be placed under house arrest. There is one exception to this rule, if the Sentencing Judge proscribes House Arrest as an option then the prisoner must serve all of their time in Jail, and the Sheriff is NOT allowed to over-rule the judge by changing the sentencing requirements. Sauer said she has to spend her time IN JAIL, so Baca has absolutely NO authority to release her to House Arrest.

LIE) She needs medical treatment, not prison!
TRUTH) Lynnwood has excellent medical facilities for it's prisoners. There are prisoners there who have AIDES, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and other diseases that require constant medical attention. Nothing Paris has is so special that they can't treat it.

Face it Paris-ites, the rich bitch is going to have to do her time just like any other lowly common person, and neither all of daddy's money or all her purloined porn tapes are going to save her skinny ass now. She needs to suck it up, grow up, and do her time. Then when she gets out she might just learn that being Paris doesn't mean she's any more special than anyone else.

85. actually, she outta move to wash d.c....she could run into light poles, monuments, 'johns' (members of congress) in the red-light district, go swimming in the tidal basin or reflecting pools, all drugged-up 'n drunk like a kennedy, 'n the po-lees won't cite her but give her a marked-car ride home instead to ensure her safety 'n hush it up in the press on her behalf like they do all the time...yes, while she's in the clinker detoxing, she really outta consider moving to d.c. where they're used to drunk diplomats, lawmakers, celebrities, 'n wannabees just like her!

87. I don't know if any one noticed but Paris was not in handcuffs when they put her in the Patrol car in her drive way. Yeah, it looks like she was with her hands behind her back but right before she gets in you can see her stick her left arm out to help herself into the car.

I don't understand why so many people are complaining because she was sent to jail. How many times is she going to get behind the wheel while intoxicated and run the risk of going head on into another car with a family or her own parents, you just never know. All she had to do the first time she was arrested was pay a fine, attend classes (I think), and follow the rules of probation. The fine probably cost about half as much as the purse she carries. Money is not the problem. Does she think she is above the law when it comes to driving with a suspended license? She might, I don't know.

I was always brought up with the ultimate rule: "You do the crime, you do the time!" Believe me when I thought things through, jail was not an option for me. Too many horror stories. I did not want to find out first hand. Some people must hit rock bottom first.

88. I don't feel she should get special treatment, when she is out partying she doesn't remember she has a medical issue, or when she is driving drunk she forgets she doesn't have a license. Is she a true blonde or just acts like one. She needs to own up and take it how it is given. It is funny her sister is not like that. She just thinks she is above everyone else. What about hundreds of women who are in jail for the same reason and they do not have the money or resources to pull this crap. I don't belive her excuse for one moment. Paris act like the person you do in the public eye, you can't cause you have everyone doing things for you, but not this time.
