Paris Hilton is "teetering on the brink."
Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Hilton has been crying a lot, praying and extremely withdrawn.
Hilton is in the medical ward at Twin Towers, an L.A. County jail facility. She is in a room by herself with a glass door. For her protection, a sergeant guards the door at all times.
We're told Hilton hasn't eaten or slept since she arrived yesterday.
Sources have described her condition today as "fragile" and "despondent." One source called her "a train wreck" while another said she is "sullen and withdrawn."
We've learned her shrink, Dr. Charles Sophy, spent more than two hours with her this morning. Hilton's family can't visit today. In the medical ward, families can only visit on Sundays and Tuesdays.
We're told Hilton is receiving "appropriate medical attention." We're told she's being given psychotropic medication.

We should not be gleeful in the destruction of this human being, Paris Hilton.
The Press, that Judge, and much of the public have been acting like a lynch mob.
The sentence was unprecedented, this is a fact no denying.
This person, while tawdy and vapid, is not a public menace.
She is a creation of our decadent popular media, not the other way around.
She is famous because of our fascination with her, whether we like her or hate her.
Want her to go away, ignore her, don't make her an issue anymore.
What we saw Thurday, was a young woman scared and in anguish- she is human.
Have we been acting humany or decently toward her?
Certainly not that judge.
What injustices we allow to be committed against our neighbors will eventually come back on us.

This lynch mob-like atmosphere is unbecomming decent humanity.
This is only the third time I have ever added commets to a site or to a message board. But in this case I couldn't hold back. Lets see:
1) For the first time in our country's history there is a chance that a man of color or a woman may become president.
2) The war in Iraq is going strong. Can anyone reading this tell me how many men died today?
3) We have green house gases and we are fighting corporate greed to work on ways to be oil independent.
4) There are issues concerning our economy and if people who have put in social security funds for 35 years will see a dime of it or will it go to some illegal's kid.
I could keep going but I believe I made my point. So with all this going on all I see are people bickering over someone who has not done anything to promote or improve our society. God help us.
Think about it, we are just witnessing a huge temper tantrum.
She is the typical dumb blond bimbo. At least she is isnt streetwalking for a few days. Maybe they can extend her stay?
I know who Paris is but never met her. To Paris, I say:
Sometimes you have to take a step back in order to take two steps forward. There is no denying that you were wrong. It can be humiliating, very embarrasing and a tough experience. You can be a real winner by extracting positive strength out of this experience if you accept the fact that, prison or no prison, you were wrong and that you have to account for your actions.

You should consider yourself kicky to have to serve only 45 days. If I was a Judge you yould get 5 tears in prision for your first offense for driving drunk. You also would be denied the right to drink, drive a car or own a car for the next 25 years.
You see Paris on Mothers Day and just weeks before my brothers graduation from Hiigh School someone just like you who was driving a vehicle Drunk killed my brother, killed my uncle and killed my 2 cousins that night. So I have no pity for you or anyone else locked up for drunk driving. At least while you are locked up you cannot kill someone as you drive our highways DRUNK. So suck it up and grow up.
Paris needs to have consequences just like the rest of us. Just because she is rich and spoiled doesn't meant that she should be able to get away with breaking the law, or doing what she pleases, no matter how it could or does affect others.
the hell with paris hilton. in two weeks she'll be out and still be rediculously rich for doing nothing. this will only help her "career," so cry me a freakin river. lots of people go to jail for parole violations, and they don't cry about it. pampered waste of money, if you ask me.

I would secure a contract, with the higher bidder, to tell the story of the ordeal for a million dollars. Then I would tell all the poor losers and Law enforcement ass kissers that I just made a million dollars for two weeks work, sitting in a room, doing nothing. I would tell them I made more money doing nothing then they would ever dream of making in their meaningless, boring little jobs they hate. I would tell all those that wanted me to suffer that I would spend my million dollar profit, from the stupid decision that idiot judge made, enjoying myself somewhere these losers can only dream about. Screw them all.
What a spoiled brat! I say, make her put on her orange jumpsuit or tell her that she will get an extra day in jail for each day she refuses to cooperate. To those of you defending her............just pray that she didn't kill you will driving drunk, then driving on a suspended license, and finally speeding with her headlights off on a suspended license. She thinks she is above the law and wouldn't hesitate to drive on if she ran over any one of you.
