Paris in Peril

Paris HiltonParis Hilton is "teetering on the brink."

Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Hilton has been crying a lot, praying and extremely withdrawn.

Hilton is in the medical ward at Twin Towers, an L.A. County jail facility. She is in a room by herself with a glass door. For her protection, a sergeant guards the door at all times.

We're told Hilton hasn't eaten or slept since she arrived yesterday.

Sources have described her condition today as "fragile" and "despondent." One source called her "a train wreck" while another said she is "sullen and withdrawn."

We've learned her shrink, Dr. Charles Sophy, spent more than two hours with her this morning. Hilton's family can't visit today. In the medical ward, families can only visit on Sundays and Tuesdays.

We're told Hilton is receiving "appropriate medical attention." We're told she's being given psychotropic medication.

This is so unfair to Paris she doesn't deserve any of it. If she was a tipical person she would have been either free or on house arrest by Tuesday. This judge is abusing his power and the judical System! I want her lawyers to file an appeal as soon as possile so she can go were she needs to:HOME! Not in the medical ward with the loonies

Ok why don't we go into the jails and just release all the mentally fragile, withdrawn prisoners from jail? Why is she getting special treatment? She's no better than anyone else that commited the same crimes she did. Anyway, I'm sure her despondency is just an act anyway. How else can she remain famous? She's got no talent, she's not smart, she's doing nothing to improve the state of the world. Let her stay there and suck it up just like anyone else.

That could be said of anyone going to prison ... so why aren't they all put in a medical ward with a room to themselves.....

" goes to the whole Hilton family (& her Dr.) for dreaming up such a scheme and doing such a good acting job getting people to fall for it. Fake anything so you don't have to go in with general population - after all, they are not good enough to be anywhere near a "Hilton"!!

If you can't buy what you want one way I guess you can buy it another!!

Have you learned your lesson yet Paris? I guess "that's hot" has a whole new meaning for you now heh!

PUBLIC SAFETY IS AT STAKE:  1711 days ago

Paris Hilton repeatedly broke the law, thumbed her nose at the legal system, and was sentenced to jail for it.

My friend's daughter was crippled by a drunk driver.

She's only 'losing it' now because it's the first time in her entire life she can't have her way.

If she was let out today. she'd no doubt be at Hyde next week.

Do your time, WUSS! It's not like you sentenced to 50 years at Leavenworth!

Excuse me, I am a super far left liberal, about as far left as one can go, and I totally agree that Paris is where she belongs.

You have no clue what a liberal is.

I agree with Amie--her parents are a joke! This is probably the first time someone ever said No to her. She needs to get over it and take it like a woman not a whinny little spoiled kid!

Paris has herpes:  1711 days ago

Who would be happy to go to jail? Nobody, that's why it's used as a deterrent for future crimes. If she's detoxing she should be in a jail medical facility to get proper help from the many drugs she's probably addicted to, instead of in her mansion where she can do further damage to her health.

This is what happens when someone grows up never being told "No" in their lives. Suck it up and do your time like you said you were ready to do before you went in the first time. Unless that was all just an act because you knew you were getting out after a few days.

Maybe we should just pull her out in the street and stone her? Maybe cut off a few fingers?? You all sound scarily Nazi. All of this INSANITY does not fit the crime!

has anyone forgotten why she was put in jail in the first place?? She was driving drunk, got her licence suspended then CONTINUED to drive. How many times have we seen her driving. When you ignore your probation there is a penalty to pay. The only remorse Paris has is she is in jail. If that was anyone else, the penalty would be much harsher. She is NOT a first time offender, she broke her probation 2x's. I'm sorry if she feels bad for being in jail but when you break the law you pay the penalty. I'm sure the other inmates hate being inthere as well but one thing tjhey all have in common.....THEY BROKE THE LAW!!!!!!!!
