Paris HiltonParis Hilton is "teetering on the brink."

Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Hilton has been crying a lot, praying and extremely withdrawn.

Hilton is in the medical ward at Twin Towers, an L.A. County jail facility. She is in a room by herself with a glass door. For her protection, a sergeant guards the door at all times.

We're told Hilton hasn't eaten or slept since she arrived yesterday.

Sources have described her condition today as "fragile" and "despondent." One source called her "a train wreck" while another said she is "sullen and withdrawn."

We've learned her shrink, Dr. Charles Sophy, spent more than two hours with her this morning. Hilton's family can't visit today. In the medical ward, families can only visit on Sundays and Tuesdays.

We're told Hilton is receiving "appropriate medical attention." We're told she's being given psychotropic medication.

62. Me thinks this "Media Whore" is sorry she ever posed in front of the papparrazzi cameras and pronounced "that's hot"! Now she's having to "Pay the Pimple" with all this negative publicity.

Don't think this is for real - she's practicing for an "Oscar" when she gets out!

This dumb bunny seemed quite healthy at all her red carpets, interviews, clubbing, shopping - course the driving did her in!

Typical example of 72hr drug withdrawals added together with self-induced anxiety attacks, rampant outbreak of herpes from self-induced anxiety attacks.

Actually - I had no problem with her house arrest with the exception of courts no control over:

home parties, alcohol, drugs, media interviews.

I say let her out, give her a snoot full, put her behind the wheel of her Bentley and aim her at Dina Lohan!

63. If I see or read any more about the sad, wasteful, meaningless life of of this ignorant, self-indulgent publicity hound I am going to kick in the screen of my TV set. This is a frenzy of vapid media hounds, creating the story by covering it. You break society's rules about endangering others on the public highways and byways, bad things happen to you. Gee, duh, too difficult a concept for you Paris and crew of lawyers, Mommy, Daddy?

I don't "hate" Paris, but I can see no reason to respect or honor her or any of the media boobs falling for all of this bunk, either. Let's see some effort to bring to public discourse topics that enrich our lives and bring some substance to bear to solve real world challenges.

70. when is everyone going to wake up and get a clue. This has nothing to do with "Paris". I'm not vindictive by any means and I wish Paris Hilton no harm. But people have to start taking responsibility for their actions. True, all she did was get charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license. No capital crime by any means. But this is someone that is always in the news and always in front of a camera (which she loves). You would think she or her herd of advisors would get a clue that flaunting a disrespect for the law and ingnoring an order of the court to stop driving and get to rehab after a DUI (IN FRONT OF EVERY CAMERA IN THE WORLD) is going to be well publicized and focusing attention on the fact that this person is indeed violationg the conditions of her probation with a "you can't touch me because I'm a rich celebrity" attitude.

Do you have teenage daughters? Would you want them behaving this way? I hope so. Because if you believe Paris is being treated unfairly, I hope you remember your views and opinions when a knock comes to you door in the middle of the night with a uniformed officer delivering some unwelcomed news about your own daughter. You should have nothing to complain about. You've provided the permissiveness of having Paris as the role model for emulation. Enjoy YOUR day in court.....

74. In May 2006, Michelle Rodriguez ("Lost") did only 4 hours and 20 minutes of a 60-day sentence which was for violating probation of a conviction for DUI. She was released from an LA jail due to overcrowding, and at the time nobody was outraged. Why?

75. So how many of you young women out there want to be like Paris now? Underneath, her cool, distant exterior is a terrified, sick woman who by the way is 4 yrs away from being 30 years old. She needs psychotic drugs? What are psychotic drugs? Are they for people who think about committing suicide? Martha Stewart did her time bravely and came out even stronger than she went in. No fanfare, no psychotic drugs, no shrinks...that's a woman to emulate, not Paris or Lindsay or Nicole or Britney.
