Paris Won't Appeal

Paris HiltonParis Hilton has issued the following statement:

"Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.

As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.

I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world."

I hope Paris learn something from all this because not a dollar came from the Hilton wealth it all came from the poor law biding tax payers. Which the city should take all expenses from the Hilton fortune and not the tax payers.

Translation: Lawyer told her she had no grounds for appeal, so might as well spin it as she it being tough and facing her sentence. She needs the PR after yesterday' s sobfest.

And, she'll now spend her time doped up on happy pills in the soft beds of the medical ward, so it won't be so bad.

Everything Paris says is carefully scripted.

She puts her true feelings on her chest:

One of her high paid lawyers probably brought her to reality, in that, the likelihood of getting another judge to overturn the trial judges sentence was about as probable as Hilton serving as US Amasador to the UN.

Would we be so focussed on Paris if Michael Jackson was still mixing it up with the kids? I kind of miss him now...and this story's already gettng a little old...

That's the most mature thing I heard her say yet. If she means it, great. I hope she continues to 'reflect'. She would really be admired if she chooses to change herself and start using her influence to sincerely do good things. If not, well, I guess none of us should be surprised. It will be sad to see the Hilton name be remembered more for her antics than for it's outstanding accommodations.

Good for her, justice should be served to all, rich & poor are equal in the justice system,USA or anywhere in the world.Paris Hilton must take responsibility of her action/s whether she is a celebraty or an heiress of the Hilton empire. This is a good lesson to whoever break the law must face its consequences.
