Paris Hilton has issued the following statement:
"Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.
This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.
As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.
I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world."

Does anyone out there believe this actually came from her? Trust me, it came from someone else trying to make her look better for the public's eye. Probably her parents. You see, they think the majority of people ( not in their circles ) are easy to feed a bunch of crap. DON'T BUY INTO IT. It wasen't a statement from her. Her parents can't even talk to her until tomorrow. Sun and Tues. only while in the med ward.

I somehow don't think that Paris wrote that message. Too bad she would not learn from Martha Stewart, she went into prison without any fuss.

She's still overwhelmed she lost her battle and now sitting in a jail cell to server her sentence. . . .after the way she acted yesteday I bet she's still way to upset to even think anything like this up. . .this is the work of her lawyer who knows they wont win any appeal. . . . . have fun eting your jail food Paris! :)
you are all sick! no matter what this poor girl says you will still find a way to make it negative. if you do not like her then dont waste your time posted comments about her or talk about her. the saddest part is the only reason why you all want to see her in jail is because you dont like her whether its because your jealous (and you know you are) or whether you hate all the attention she has, not because she has a dui and drove with a suspended liscense. it is said because if this were any other person they WOULD have been released to house arrest for medical reason, i know this because my father is a lawyer. harsh restrictions were placed on Paris because they are trying to make an example out of her which is not fair for her and she is being treated WORSE because of who she is. if you dont like her, then fine but dont waste your time posting negative things and saying digusting and cruel comments about her, she is someones daughter, someones sister, and what you say has meaning and it hurts!! you should all go back to your double-wides and get a life and leave her alone.

OK...that's it, right? We don't have to see her whining mugshot for a few weeks. She finally found someone who can convince her to suck it up, act like an adult, serve the time, and at least pretend she is taking responsibility.
Obviously written by a law office hack. The same hack that wrote something similar after she was sentenced. Paris can't express herself except in sexual terms, remember, she didn't graduate from high school.

My hope is that Paris follows through with her sentence, takes responsibility for her actions, and stops listening to advisors and parents who set her up for this fiasco. Did they give her sound advice when she first got the DUI or tell her she is a victim and they would help resolve the legal issues? I am a grandmother who does not condone her crazy lifestyle but has compassion for a young woman who has gone down the wrong path. My prayers are with Paris.
