Celebrity Justice
Paris Won't Appeal

Paris HiltonParis Hilton has issued the following statement:

"Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.

As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.

I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world."

91. Hey, my girl Paris. As I read your statement, I was amazed at the maturity and grace it reflected. I know this is a very hard time for you, but I don't have the slightest doubt you can do this. EVERYTHING ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH CHANGES... except God. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Cling to the Rock... the Rock of Ages. You won't be disappointed. Take care. Talk to you soon!!!

92. "I told"? Yeah right. She's probably freaking out right now, and her parents would rather let her rot in jail.

93. Her Ordeal should be a lesson for us all. Paris is sacrificing herself for our good. She leads by example.

94. Paris didn't write that statement. Her PR person wrote it or her lawyer. She is probably passed out in bed due to the meds her Shrink gave her. Don't write these dumb-ass statements anymore, we all know she can't write - or probably read.

96. Wow! That's one together statement from someone who is currently under lock and key in the LA prison medical facility.

Completely unhinged and on the verge of a nervous breakdown one minute; writing a sober and lucid press release the next. Will wonders never cease.

97. Good for you girl!! Don't read all the negatives on this board. There are plenty of people out here caring about you. You are a good human being and I know can get through this. You made some mistakes, and we all do. I think it was awful the way the media played this. They made things much worst for you. So many things were reported wrong. I feel you will come out of this a better person and go on with your life. Bless you Paris.

99. Sounds like she couldn't fool the county docs at the medical jail and they were going to tell the sheriff and judge that she was okay and could serve her time.

100. How many BJ's did paris promise to harvey levin to defend her?

Posted at 8:50PM on Jun 9th 2007 by Are you kidding me?

101. you are all sick! no matter what this poor girl says you will still find a way to make it negative. if you do not like her then dont waste your time posted comments about her or talk about her. the saddest part is the only reason why you all want to see her in jail is because you dont like her whether its because your jealous (and you know you are) or whether you hate all the attention she has, not because she has a dui and drove with a suspended liscense. it is said because if this were any other person they WOULD have been released to house arrest for medical reason, i know this because my father is a lawyer. harsh restrictions were placed on Paris because they are trying to make an example out of her which is not fair for her and she is being treated WORSE because of who she is. if you dont like her, then fine but dont waste your time posting negative things and saying digusting and cruel comments about her, she is someones daughter, someones sister, and what you say has meaning and it hurts!! you should all go back to your double-wides and get a life and leave her alone.

103. Tia, you have to be kidding me. You don't really think paris wrote that do you?

104. as much as it pains me, i have a little more respect if she really means it. Of course, I'm not stupid enough to not realize this was written entirely by a publicist and her family's crisis communications team. But, this is the approach they should have taken from the very start.
