ADD Is What Ails Paris

Paris HiltonTMZ has learned that Paris Hilton suffers from extreme Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and claustrophobia, and these conditions may have triggered the Sheriff's decision to spring her from Lynwood Jail last week.

We're told Hilton is taking Adderall for her ADD. Although our sources were not specific, we're told Hilton was not receiving all of her medications at Lynwood. As a result, Hilton was having severe panic attacks in jail. There were times she was so debilitated, she could not push the panic button in her cell.

As for how she's doing today, she's depressed but not really crying. She has a pencil and a pad of paper and she's spending her time writing down her thoughts. We're also told she's losing weight -- although she's no Nicole Richie.

31. How does she concentrate long enough to tan, get her nails done or get a pedicure? This is the most bogus bunch of BS ever foisted off on the public - if you don't count the lies about WMD.

32. I, BABBS am just standing up for justice. I know Paris has done wrong and yes she should do the time. BUT what most people aren't getting thru their thick heads is the fact that she has already served her time under LA County circumstances. Everyone else only does 10% for that type of offense.

The Judge put restrictions on Paris nobody else would get. Where were the restrictions on Michelle Rodriquez when she violated probation and got 60 days?

Sheriff Baca has a hard time dealing with overcrowding, understaffing and underbudget restrictions. Once a person is released into his custody he is the be all end all as to what happens to that person. And he felt it necessary to release Paris with electronic monitoring.

The City Prosecutors don't file motions with the Judge for anyone else. Where were the motions when Michelle Rodriquez was out within hours on a 60 day sentence?

Sheriff Baca should send home 50 women with one of them being Paris! The judge doesn't want electronic monitoring so send her home a free woman!

Paris isn't being treated like anyone and everyone in LA County!!!!

33. BABBS-YOU ARE RIGHT. I could not agree with you more. When she first went in, I didn't even really know a thing about her or cared, for that matter, but after the debacle she suffered at the hands of this petty and clearly publicity seeking judge Sauer, I tuned in. Now, Paris has a new supporter and, gulp, fan. Coming from a similar, albeit not as famous upbringing, I can relate to her plight. Granted, she brought this on herself but the clear double standard here-i.e. lets punish this girl on a scale that doesn't compare with anyone else, is what troubles me. No judge ever has taken the steps to humiliate and punish someone for a misdemeanor as this judge has done to Paris Hilton.

34. ADD my ass. Maybe she just likes to grind up her ritalin and snort it. If she can't have the real blow in jail she might as well get some kiddie coke.

36. ADD medications are just a legal version of getting amphetamines. We had a roommate that had this addiction. With her celebrity shrink, easy diagnosis to get. Nice try though. Good to know Paris is getting her fix while she's in jail.

38. It's too easy, somebody else probably already posted it but I'll say it anyway. The story says Paris is sitiing in her cell with a pencl and a paper writing down her thoughts. What is she doing for rest of the 22 hours, 59 minutes and 30 seconds of the day she has to remain in her cell?

40. I think paris has more then just A.D.D.

41. Nope not buying it. She might have ADD and whatever else but her behavior in court, withnessed by Greta and described to Geraldo is not consistent with either of the two things they are trying to claim she has. More like drug withdrawal. Nice try though - just not true.

42. When will you idiots STOP comparing her to Michele Rodriguez?

a) Michele Rodriguez wasn't housed in the high-risk unit and was let go early because of over-crowding, that was the official reason. Paris was let go cuzz she has ADD. That is NOT cause for early release. Paris had her own cell, therefore could not be released due to over-crowding.

b) Not only did Paris violate her probation once, she did it twice, and on top of getting cuaght driving on the suspended license twice, she hadn't registered for her DUI classes (a THIRD violation). Then the icing on the cake she showed up to court late!!! Thats why she got the "no-release" instructions imposed by the judge.

43. The only attention deficit disorder she has stems from lack of attention being paid to her!

44. Adderall is abused by a lot of anorexics so that they can lose weight. It is amphetamine-based and keeps the weight off. Unfortunately, it's horrible for the heart. Also, if you go off of it, you will gain weight VERY QUICKLY.

45. TO: Dave Hale

I wasn't a fan previously either. Will depend on how she is when she gets out if I continue to be. But bottom line is she is being treated unfairly and it is time she is let out!
