74. Two Comments:

1. The argument that Timbaland uses the N word in his songs and therefore shouldn't be mad when people use it in his direction is completely at odds with how any human being (not just black people) thinks and operates. The point here, as always, is intent. The mere use of the word (though it should not be used by non blacks) is not the issue here. The issue is the use with the intent to virulently insult. When timbaland is saying the word in his song context and intent give it a different meaning and effect than when a pissed off white person says it to specifically bring up a history of racial degradation and insult someone. This to me seems incontrovertible.

2. Now, this is personal philosophy. As a man, you simply cannot allow other men or people in general to insult you in that manner. ANY MAN. Black white or whatever has to stand up and be willing to punish someone for their indiscretion if they decide that you are worthless enough to insult you with that intent and in that manner. Its simply the code. Animal planet. Never give an inch. The people that don't believe that are either kidding themselves, Lying (to dissociate themselves based on race), or are constant pushovers who lack self respect. From an American perspective, the concept fighting words is thouroughly ingrained in our national ideal. From John Wayne to Ben Franklyn to Alexander Hamilton to Malcolm X. Manhood is learning to never give an inch.
