Hilton Parents Turn Big House into Madhouse

The Beatles didn't even have it this bad.

The entire paparazzi nation turned up at the entrance of Twin Towers Correctional Facility today to cover visitation day -- one of two days during the week when Paris Hilton is allowed to spend free time with two people. This time, Paris' parents, Rick and Kathy, made the trip -- and all hell broke loose!

The photo-happy crowd swarmed the Hiltons, who were surrounded by uniformed, gun-toting officers as they attempted to leave the building. While Rick stayed silent while people fired question after Paris-related question, Kathy chatted it up with the snappers, and told TMZ's camera, "It is what it is."

Paris' next set of visitors will be allowed on Sunday. Expect the circus to return as well.

106. I want to publically praise Nancy Grace and her commentators who think that the sheriff of LA should force The Hiltons to wait outside the jail house for 5 and one half hours while hoards of camera wielding photographers, plus the general public doing business at the Towers, plus all those workers and prisoners trying to get in and out wait with them. This, Ms Grace says, is needed to spare us from the awfulness of not having the same special treatment that the parents were given.

Now why didn't the rest of us think of that? Why wisk those two in and out so fast?

Obviously it is better to play the vindictive game of get her get her get her and whip up the tv ratings than to think that a great big growing crowd of humanity swelling around a prison entrance really might be any kind of a problem. Yeah, for sure. Why would any law officer want to exert as much control over that as possible? Wouldn't a huge melee with the Hiltons in the middle of hundreds of cameras all going off at once be just the ticket for all those tv shows that thrive on self-righteous whining about special perks, all the while expecting those same perks for themselves?

Well Nancy you can blab about dry skin just so long before you lose the audience. Working this story to fire up the ratings, regardless of whatever harm comes to others is the American way, after all.

By the way, adult ADD is a brain disorder. As in abnormal brain chemistry? As in illness? As in Americans with Disabilities Act? (Real lawyers already should know what this means.)

Oh, but wait! Other inmates have disabilities but not being serviced. Not enough money! Uh, gee. This is a violation of Federal law and sorry, the law is the law, and there is no excuse, California. Go ask any judge.

Think the sheriff is in the wrong? This sheriff has been the only intelligent person in the mix. LA's murder rate is greater than cities with comperable population and wasted time and money on Paris Hilton, regardless of where she is housed in the jail only means real criminals, with real evil intentions have more time to commit real harm on the poor citizens of LA. Note please that every second Paris serves in order to learn her lesson or be a lesson to others or placate others for being young, pretty, well dressed etc etc etc, is one more second for a serious crime to happen. See, THOSE criminals have learned their lessons, too. And they could care less about where Paris Hilton spends the rest of her incarceration. as long as they aren't in there themselves.

There are some people demanding special treatment in this scenario, but the last names aren't Hilton. California, please try to not be so dumb.

Ya'll need to read this......."House of HIlton"

Biographer Jerry Oppenheimer, author of "House of Hilton - From Conrad to Paris: A Drama of Wealth, Power, and Privilege," said he ended up feeling sorry for Hilton as he came to believe that her mother and maternal grandmother pushed her into using the family name and an exhibitionist streak to become a celebrity.

"Her mother, Kathy, put her in make-up and allowed her (into) nightclubs from a very young age," Oppenheimer, a biographer of Martha Stewart and Rock Hudson, said in a telephone interview.

"I feel sorry for her because in a way she had no chance to do anything else but live the dreams that her grandmother and her mother had for themselves."

Legal warnings from Hilton's mother failed to stop the book and prompted family and friends to come out of the woodwork with their stories, Oppenheimer said.
"It is a bizarre family," said Oppenheimer. "Behind the scenes her parents were not opposed to (the sex video) because that totally launched her."

Oppenheimer said it was hard to tell if Hilton was real or the invention of a clever marketing team that was aware her "heiress tag" is untrue. She stands to inherit little from the Hilton empire and needs to work for a living.

"Paris will say whatever comes into her head. She tends to make up stories and scenarios. I do wonder if she doesn't live in a fantasy world herself," Oppenheimer said.

111. There is just something wrong with Rick Hilton's demeanor...very subdued & passive, with Kathy appearing to rule the roost, rather than him, who was born with the money. I keep thinking Kathy has something on him.

If Paris was just a girl on the street with her behavior, wouldn't Howard Stern argue to his death that she'd been abused or molested? Of course there's always PaPa Hilton I suppose.

116. I guess its clear that many have lost sight of the real issues with this fiasco. Regardless of how anyone feels about Paris her parents or anyone with money, this is about a grown woman who continually drives drunk, thumbed her nose at the court, disregarded her probation orders, didn't even complete the alcohol class she was instructed to attend; she just decides to not show up for court, then is late for court (this is before sentencing NOT the incident after being release/reassigned), so she was sentenced accordingly for a person who behaved the way she did in court. Then when she is finally sentenced, it is immediately reduced but she STILL felt no need to be a responsible adult and take her medicine. She gets out...and just feels that not showing up for court will work for her (regardless of the Sheriff, I would have my behind at court and be a bit more cooperative with this pissed off judge), then she is over an hour late to court AGAIN.

Harvey Levin is an attorney and he KNOWS that being late for court is a no-no. He knows that the only person using her celebrity is Paris, who felt her celebrity made her exempt from the rules and laws. The judge penalizing her for her behaviour is only responding to HER use of her own celebrity.

The fact that Sheriff Lee Baca chose to take the check and play along is a blessing in desguise. It is blatant evidence of preferential treatment and is bringing those who complain of the mistreatments in jails and prisons to the forefront.

But overall, this is about a drunk driver. Not a woman you all consider a whore (which leads me to wonder what you consider the men she sleeps with) or a party girl (she can afford to party her life away...it doesn't affect any of us one way or the other) or a spoiled brat. This is about those we vote into office not being equitable to ALL the citizens across the board. Its about a woman who chooses (because I don't believe she will stop) to drive drunk and jeopardize the lives of others. Drunk driving and inequitable treatment of all citizens.

What Paris does with her brain, her time or her body is of no effect to any of us. Not liking it is your right, but it doesn't affect you. Her drunk driving can and learning that money determines your treatment in jail can should anyone be like Pamela Richardson and find ourselves falsely accused and in jail for 3 horrid weeks of our lives.

Let's try to stay focused.

120. I wonder if they enjoy all that commotion? They must enjoy all the attention, more media hogs sucking the air out of entertainment news. I feel sorry for Paris coming from such a selfish, no talent family. They are pathetic.
