When u think about it, we are all mixed with something or another in our blood.....whether some want to believe or not!! 63. For all of the posters who are crying about the BET awards being racists need to stick an egg in their shoes and beat it. For many years black people weren't even a part of award shows, or they were relegated to one single category. BET was started about twenty-five years ago as a platform for R&B/Soul artists to give their videos some airtime. If anyone can remember when MTV first started they didn't show anyone of color. They left a little bit of space for Michael Jackson and Eddie Grant (Electric Avenue). So I don't want to hear it!

65. Black people can't have any thing without white people you all have cmt isn't that good enough we all know that BET is now owned by whites so Im sure he will undiservingly win the award. Whites always wins in the end. If blacks keep letting whites take over our stuff then we will never have anything. Look at other award shows all white people win anyways so why can't just black people have something. Whites have over 50 channels to watch without even a hint of a person with color in their skin that didn't come from a tanning box.

I am a white female and I am not racist but I would like to see this addrressed more often. I work for a state facility and we observe Martin Luther King Day (which is great) but we do not observe Memorial Day. Somehting not quite right there.

75. Back and forth, back and forth. Its racist, its not racist, its racist, its not racist. Sorry, but it is racist. White people not including black people in the world of awards for so long is NOT an excuse to still supports seperatists. You might as well say "Yeah, you racist white people are right! We need to be seperated".

As for so many channels with white people, or seemingly white people on it, is also due to the fact that the population of white people surpasses the population of black people. In the next few decades, more and more people will mix, and all this nonsense of Black vs. White can end.

Plain and simple, 95% of ALL commercial music is crap now anyways. Most of these so-called artists shouldn't even be nominated. Oh for the days of real music to return!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
