62. You FOOLS are hilarious. I'm so thankful that along with RAP, we African Americans have created other gene res' of music such as R&B, the BLUES, JAZZ and theORIGINAL ROCK & ROLL. What terrifically talented individuals we are.

Rappers such as ICE CUBE, OUTKAST, THE ROOTS, COMMON, TALIB, MOS DEF, LAURYN, WYCLEF and even KANYE are some examples of truly gifted musical geniuses of this era. We understand that corny ass white folks have NO IDEA of what rhythm, "a beat", flow, freestyle, or MC's are...and we honestly don't give a ****.

LOL!! If so than NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, SHOWTIME, STARZ and a host of other networks should be added to that statement. What race is overwhelmingly represented on those channels? BET was created to give BLACK PEOPLE another option, WE DIDN'T WATCH FRIENDS. We needed a channel that was directed towards the African American demographic, OVER 30 MILLION and growing. The only quarrel I have with BET is that more actual television shows should be added to the lineup. Other than that, BET is the s***!

The BET awards is one of the best award shows of the year and I am so looking forward to seeing all of the actor's musicians and entertainers that will be there. Robin Thicke's cool, but the European wannabe's biting our style like Amy, and that other fake ass white girl rapper Lilly or whatever the **** her name is, need to FALL BACK and stop TRYING to imitate what can't be duplicated.

65. mtv is racist? please!!!! if anything, mtv is musicist- they hardly play any anymore. but when they do, it's got black/white/spanish/european all mixed in. ever seen "sucker free" on there? that's the most anti-white time slot ever made. so save your breath!

66. Come on TMZ.....don't start none....won't be none!! I think it's great Robin Thicke is nominated....not sure he'll win, because of the other artist he's up against, but good luck to him anyway!! When u think about it, we are all mixed with something or another in our blood.....whether some want to believe or not!! Maybe, this will help to break more racial & color barriers that we seem to keep facing on a daily basis in the so-called "LAND OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY"!! All we can do is pray this happens!!

69. Black people can't have any thing without white people you all have cmt isn't that good enough we all know that BET is now owned by whites so Im sure he will undiservingly win the award. Whites always wins in the end. If blacks keep letting whites take over our stuff then we will never have anything. Look at other award shows all white people win anyways so why can't just black people have something. Whites have over 50 channels to watch without even a hint of a person with color in their skin that didn't come from a tanning box.

70. BET is giving awards to anyone who is deserving in those historically black music categories. They don't care about race. It's called BET because the programming is geared toward Black people becuase before UPN and WB it was hard to find. Why are yall tripping on something so stupid?

71. BET was started because White people would hardly show Black folks on their stations. so we had to start our own station. And white people's videos have been shown on BET since it started. If you don't want a BET then white folks shouldn't have been racist.

72. Well good - I thought keeping whites and blacks together is what we are supposed to do! No more segrigation. Blacks and whites (and Pink of course) are allowed at MTV awards, movie awards, etc. So why not! Same thing with Miss Black America. Where is Miss White America? Or Miss PR America?

73. How about a WET station OR WET awards show. Oh, hell no...Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have a stroke. What is wrong with this country. I am a white female and I am not racist but I would like to see this addrressed more often. I work for a state facility and we observe Martin Luther King Day (which is great) but we do not observe Memorial Day. Somehting not quite right there.
